Background: The aim of this study was to compare a novel mannose receptor-binding agent(Technetium-99m human serum albumin, $^{99m}Tc$-MSA) with $^{99m}Tc$-phytate for sentinel node mapping in patients with esophageal cancer. Material and Method: Twenty patients with clinical stage T1N0m0 or T2N0M0 esophageal cancer that were candidates for esophagectomy were enrolled. Endoscopic injection of $^{99m}Tc$-MSA or $^{99m}Tc$-phytate was administered at the peri-tumor region before surgery in 10 patients. The radioactive lymph nodes were identified with a handheld gamma probe after lymph node dissection. Results: The patient's age and the sex ratio of both groups were similar. The clinical stage, tumor location, and operative technique did not differ. The total number of dissected lymph nodes did not differ ($28.5{\pm}9.12$ in MSA group, $32.2{\pm}11.24$ in phytate group, p=0.430). The sentinel node was identified in all cases in both groups. The number of sentinel nodes per patient was $2.7{\pm}1.57$ in the MSA group, which was significantly greater than the $1.7{\pm}0.88$ in the phytate group (p=0.036). Five out of 20 patients whose sentinel nodes could be identified had metastases; however, neither group had any false-negative results for sentinel node identification. Conclusion: Sentinel nodes were detected more frequently with MSA than with phytate.

This paper presents an effective method for detecting vehicles in front of the camera-assisted car during nighttime driving. The proposed method detects vehicles based on detecting vehicle headlights and taillights using techniques of image segmentation and clustering. First, in order to effectively extract spotlight of interest, a pre-signal-processing process based on camera lens filter and labeling method is applied on road-scene images. Second, to spatial clustering vehicle of detecting lamps, a grouping process use light tracking method and locating vehicle lighting patterns. For simulation, we are implemented through Da-vinci 7437 DSP board with visible light mono-camera and tested it in urban and rural roads. Through the test, classification performances are above 89% of precision rate and 94% of recall rate evaluated on real-time environment.

경기도 가축매몰지 주변 지하수의 계절별 변동 특성과 원인 분석을 위하여 가축매몰지 주변 60 m 이내에 위치한 관정(84개소)을 선별하여 오염물질들의 분포 및 특성과 그 원인에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 오염원에 대한 지시인자(pH,DO, ORP, EC)의 경우, 대부분의 관정에서 계절에 상관없이 비교적 일정한 값을 유지하고 있는 것으로 나타나 침출수와 같은 오염원에 의한 계절적 영향이 뚜렷하지 않은 것으로 분석되었다. 질산성질소의 경우 대부분 30 mg/L 내외의 농도분포를 보이는 것으로 나타났으며 특히 가축매몰지로부터 20 m 이내에 위치한 관정에서도 15 mg/L 이하의 농도 분포를 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 암모니아성질소와 염소이온의 경우 가축매몰지와 근접한 곳에 위치한 관정보다는 오히려 40 ~60 m 거리에 위치하는 관정에서 더 높은 농도 분포를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 대부분 가축매몰지 침출수와 같은 높은 농도의 오염물 유입보다는 각 관정 주변에 위치한 기존의 오염에 의한 영향을 나타내주는 것이라 할 수 있으며 향후 가축매몰지 관련 지하수 보전 및 관리에 있어서 유용한 정보를 제공해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Seasonal variations of major contaminants in groundwater around livestock burial areas in Gyeonggi province, Korea, were examined. Seven typical contamination indicators (NO3-N, NH3-N, chloride, pH, DO, ORP, and EC)were monitored in groundwater samples collected from 84 wells located within 60 m of livestock burial sites forthe leachate plume emanating from the livestock burial sites. The monitoring results of pH, DO, ORP, and EC revealed minimal seasonal variations, providing no evidence for leachate plumes. The NO3-N concentrations were below 30 mg/L and exhibited minimal seasonal fluctuations, even in the wells located close to (< 20 m) the burial sites; the NH3-N and chloride concentrations also showed similar results. The contamination indicators examined in this study indicate that the observed groundwater contamination is primarily from preexisting pervasive contamination due to agricultural activities and livestock farming, not leachates derived from nearby livestock burial sites.

Perchlorate, which is still unregulated, is found in tap water, posing a threat to public health. In and out of Korea, there is no clear standard for drinking water quality or discharge. To make matters worse, Perchlorate study is in its infancy in Korea. This research tracked fresh water and purified water of water purification facility A and B located at the city of D, where Nak-dong River is being utilized as the purified water. And it was found that purified water shows no particular pattern in Perchlorate concentrations but represented a higher level of concentration compared to fresh water. With utilizing the research results, the study sought the impact of activated-carbon treatment process on Perchlorate elimination and found out that Perchlorate concentrations increased 38% after the process. The result proves that conventional water purification process can`t eliminate Perchlorate. Therefore, it is reasonable that Perchlorate discharge from sources should be minimized.

본 논문에서는 가정용 게임기 XBOX의 추가 장비인 KINECT를 활용하여 사용자가 입력하는 지화를 인식하는 프로그램을 연구하였다. 입력되는 지화를 한글로 나타내기 위해 YCbCr 색 공간을 이용한 이진화 와 팽창 침식 등의 모폴로지 기법을 사용하여 손 영역을 추출한다. 추출된 손 영역을 템플릿매칭 하여 가장 비슷한 모양을 찾아내 사용자에게 출력해 주는 시스템을 제안한다.
