항공기에만 사용되어졌던 Gas Turbine 엔진이 선박 특히 함정의 주 추진엔진으로 사용됨으로써 함정을 고속화하여 기동성을 증대시켰다. 이와 함께 TF-35 Gas Trubine 엔진이 한국해군에 도입되어 함정용 주 추진엔진으로 운용된지도 10년이 지났고, 점차 시간이 경과함에 따라 Gas Turbine 내부의 구성품들이 주로 고온부식에 의한 화학작용에 의해서 손상을 입고 있다. 이것의 주 원인은 Gas Turbine이 운전되는 해상환경과 연료유중의 불순물, 그리고 Gas Turbine 운용자들의 운용방법 미숙으로 구분할 수 있는데 경제적인 군 운영과 효율적인 작전 운용을 추구하고 있는 한국해군으로서는 그 부식방지 방안이 절실히 요구되고 있는 실정이다.

KR-31543,(2S,3R,4S)-6-amino-4-[N-(4-chlorophenyl)-N-(2-methyl-2H-tetrazol-5-ylmethyl)amino]- 3,4-dihydro-2-dimethoxymethyl-3-hydroxy-2-methyl-2H-1-benzopyran is a new neuroprotetive agent for ischemia-reperfusion damage. The in vitro and in vivo metabolism of KR-31543 in rats has been studied by LC-electrospray mass spectrometry. Rat liver microsomal incubation of KR-31543 in the presence of NADPH resulted in the formation of a metabolite M1. M1 was identified as N-(4-chlorophenyl)-N-(2-methyl-2H-tetrazol-5-ylmethyl)amine on the basis of LCMS/ MS analysis with the synthesized authentic standard. Rat CYP3A1 and 3A2 are the major CYP isozymes involved in the formation of M1.

An LC/MS/MS method for the simultaneous determination of a neuroprotective agent for ischemia-reperfusion damage, KR-31378 and its N-acetyl metabolite KR-31612 in human plasma was developed. KR-31378, KR-31612 and the internal standard, KR-31543 were extracted from human plasma by liquid-liquid extraction. A reverse-phase HPLC separation was performed on Luna phenylhexyl column with the mixture of acetonitrile-5 mM ammonium formate (55:45, v/v) as mobile phase. The detection of analytes was performed using an electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry in the multiple reaction monitoring mode. The lower limits of quantification for KR-31378 and KR-31612 were 2.0 ng/ml. The method showed a satisfactory sensitivity, precision, accuracy, recovery and selectivity.

This research was carried out to investigate seed germination and growth of the perennial plant Apocynum lancifolium under different NaCl concentrations, with a view for future cultivation on reclaimed land. Initial characterization revealed that the average length and weight of A. lancifolium seed pods was 133.6 mm and 0.23 g, respectively, and the thousand-grain weight was 0.59 g. Upon examining the effects of light on seed germination, we found germination to be 1.7% higher under light conditions (90%) than under dark conditions (88.3%). In terms of the response to salt stress, we found that 90% of seeds germinated in the 0.00%, 0.25%, and 0.50% salt treatment groups. Although salt treatment up to a concentration of 0.5% was found to have little effect on seed germination, the rate of germination decreased at higher concentrations and was completely inhibited in the 2% treatment. We also established that germination rates were higher in seeds sown in horticultural topsoil than in the coarse sandy soil found in the plant’s natural habitats. Although the growth of A. lancifolium tends to decrease with an increase in salt concentration, we found that the stem thickness, fresh weight, and dry weight of A. lancifolium seedlings subjected to 0.25%–1.0% salt were comparable to those of the control seedling that were not exposed to salt. Furthermore, in contrast to those plants subjected to 2.0% salt, these plants continued to grow and remained viable.
넙다리네갈래근의 신경근전기자극치료가 무릎관절 전치환술 환자의 균형에 미치는 영향

Purpose : This study aimed to investigate how neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) affects the balance ability of patients who have undergone total knee arthroplasty owing to osteoarthritis. Methods : Thirty patients who had undergone total knee arthroplasty were randomized to an experimental group (n=15) and a control group (n=15). The experimental group received conventional physical therapy for 50 minutes and NMES treatment for 30 minutes, whereas the control group received conventional physical therapy for 50 minutes and active range of motion (AROM) exercises for 30 minutes. Within-group and between-group changes in static and dynamic balance ability before and after the 4-week intervention were analyzed. Results : In the within-group comparison, sway velocity in the center of gravity and total distance were significantly improved in both the experimental and control groups (p<.05), with no significant differences between the groups (p>.05). In the within-group comparison, both the experimental and control groups showed significant improvement in the functional reach test and movement velosity (p<.05). In the between-group comparison, the experimental group showed a significantly better improvement than the control group in the functional reach test (p<.05), but there was no significant difference in the movement velosity test (p>.05). Conclusion : In this study, NMES improved the static and dynamic balance in patients who had undergone total knee arthroplasty. Compared with AROM exercises, there was a greater effect on dynamic balance partially; however, the overall effect was similar. Therefore, NMES may be one option among various interventions to improve the balance ability in patients who have undergone total knee arthroplasty. In particular, this method may be effective when it is difficult to apply balance training for patients with total knee arthroplasty in a clinical setting.

According to the free amino acid content including proline content after NaCl treatment, 21 free amino acids were analyzed. Glutamine content was the highest after 0.25% and 2.0% NaCl treatment and in the control, while arginine content was the highest after 0.5% and 1.0% NaCl treatment. The total free amino acid in Apocynum lancifolium followed the order 2.0% NaCl treatment > 0.5% NaCl treatment > 0.25% NaCl treatment > 1.0% NaCl treatment > control; in particular, the total free amino acid content after 2.0% NaCl treatment (7428.94 mg/kg) was about 3.4 times higher than that in the control (2218.94 mg/kg). The proline content after 2.0% NaCl treatment was 47.49 mg/kg, while it was the lowest in the control. Antioxidant content, such as flavonoid CE (catechin equivalent) and total polyphenol GAE (gallic acid equivalent), and antioxidant activity AAE (ascorbic acid equivalent) were the highest after 0.25% NaCl treatment (29034.17 mg CE/kg, 24607.68 mg GAE/kg, and 39231.67 mg AAE/kg, respectively).

Objective: The needs of sharing clinical documents in order for health professionals to provide better diagnosis and treatment have been tremendously increasing. However, when a patient visits the hospital, current hospital information system doesn't allow for physicians to obtain patient's medical history even though she has some records in different hospital, because the lack of the standardization to overcome the incompatibility among heterogeneous systems. CDA(Clinical Document Architecture) of HL7(Health Level 7) is standardized technology in purpose of creating and exchanging various clinical documents. In this article, we discuss the method of exchanging, storing, and utilizing CDA and present the work of development and implementation based on CDR(Clinical Document Repository) framework reported earlier9). Methods: We convert paper-based discharge summary from each health institutions into CDA format. And in order to exchange, manage, and utilize those CDA, Registry structure of ebXML is introduced and applied. Results: The relationship among patients, physicians, clinical organizations, and clinical documents is well-organized and modeled. Because transfered CDA document can be easily registered and managed by complying with RIM structure of ebXML, this system can effectively exchange and share patient's CDA document when patient move to other area or among heterogenous systems. Conclusion: This system can be utilized to categorize and store various clinical documents such as, ECG and Radiology reading report. In addition, this system suggests the potential of Electronic Health Record system that is able to communicate among heterogenous systems and manage the CDA documents via this CDR system.
