Purpose: This study examined that effect of a change in balance index on ankle Kinesio taping, muscle strength exercises and taping after muscle strength exercises in 30 healthy adult subjects. Methods: The Sway Index of the left, right, front and back on stable, toes up and linear were compared using a Balance System, a balance experimental instrument. Results: The pre and post experimental balance index regarding stable, toes up, and linear were taken for the Kinesio taping group, lower extremities muscle strengthening group, and muscle strengthening with the Kinesio taping group. Statistically significant decreases were observed in all variables except for the left and right pre and post experiment results under stable conditions. Conclusion: The balance index of exercise with taping was lower than that of exercise only. There is a need for objective research on the long-term applications and post-exercise. The body balance appears to be influenced by ankle stabilization using taping.
정상안압녹내장, 고안압녹내장 및 정상 대조군 사이의 식생활 습관 비교

Purpose: To compare the dietary patterns between normal or high tension glaucoma patients and a normal control population. Methods: A survey using the self-assessment food-frequency questionnaire was given to normal tension glaucoma (NTG) or high tension glaucoma (HTG) patients who visited a glaucoma clinic between June 2008 and September 2008. Healthy Korean subjects who had received routine health examinations at Samsung Medical Center between October 2007 and September 2008 were evaluated with the same questionnaire. Statistical analysis of variable factors including fatty fish, seaweeds, soy products and greasy meats, was performed to compare between groups. Results: Sixty-two of NTG patients, 25 of HTG patients and 29,376 normal subjects were included in the present study. The mean age of each group was 51.3 ± 13.4, 51.8 ± 17.4 and 50.5 ± 10.4 years, respectively. No significant difference in dietary pattern was found between the subjects with glaucoma and the normal controls (p > 0.2 in all factors). The dietary pattern of NTG and HTG patients showed no statistically significant difference in all factors (p > 0.2). Conclusions: There was no significant difference in a dietary pattern between glaucoma patients and normal subjects. In terms of glaucoma, no possible beneficial or harmful food was found. 얼굴과 음성 정보를 이용한 바이모달 사용자 인식 시스템 설계 및 구현

최근 들어 바이모달 인식에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 음성 정보와 얼굴정보를 이용하여 바이모달 시스템을 구현하였다. 얼굴인식은 얼굴 검출과 얼굴 인식 두 부분으로 나누어서 실험을 하였다. 얼굴 검출 단계에서는 AdaBoost를 이용하여 얼굴 후보 영역을 검출 한 뒤 PCA를 통해 특징 벡터 계수를 줄였다. PCA를 통해 추출된 특징 벡터를 객체 분류 기법인 SVM을 이용하여 얼굴을 검출 및 인식하였다. 음성인식은 MFCC를 이용하여 음성 특징 추출을 하였으며, HMM을 이용하여 음성인식을 하였다. 인식결과, 단일 인식을 사용하는 것보다 얼굴과 음성을 같이 사용하였을 때 인식률의 향상을 가져왔고, 잡음 환경에서는 더욱 높은 성능을 나타냈었다. Recently, study of Bimodal recognition has become very active. In this paper, we propose a Bimodal user recognition system that uses face information and audio information. Face recognition consists of face detection step and face recognition step. Face detection uses AdaBoost to find face candidate area. After finding face candidates, PCA feature extraction is applied to decrease the dimension of feature vector. And then, SVM classifiers are used to detect and recognize face. Audio recognition uses MFCC for audio feature extraction and HMM is used for audio recognition. Experimental results show that the Bimodal recognition can improve the user recognition rate much more than audio only recognition, especially in the presence of noise.
유한요소법과 최적설계 기법을 이용한 고무 사출 금형 히터 배치

Temperature control of a rubber injection mold is important for the dimensional accuracy of product. The main objective of this paper is to optimize the arrangement of heaters by FEM and optimal design method. Firstly, 3-dimensional transient heat transfer analysis was carried out for a square specimen mold. Results of FE analysis are a good agreement with the experimental results, showing about 1.22∼7.22% error in temperature distribution. Secondly, we suggested the optimal method about an arrangement of heaters of rubber injection mold by using the optimal design technique. Distances between heater’s center and the contact surface of mold, distances between heater’s center and symmetric surface were considered as design variables. And the variances between the temperatures of cavity surfaces and their average temperature were used as the objective functions. Applying the optimal solution, the temperature variation was improved about 52.9∼88.1% compared to the existing mold. As a result of sensitivity analysis for design variables, design variables parallel to the direction of the split plane in mold affect the largest on the surface temperature variation in mold cavity.

최근 들어 바이모달 인식에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 음성과 얼굴을 이용하여 바이모달 시스템을 구현하였다. 얼굴인식은 객체 분류 기법인 SVM을 이용하여 얼굴을 검출 및 인식하였으며, 음성인식은 HMM을 이용하여 음성인식을 하였다. 각기 인식된 결과에 대해 합성을 통하여 잡음에 의해 낮아지는 음성 인식률을 얼굴 인식과 같이 사용함으로서, 전체적인 인식률 향상을 볼 수 있다.
