For the effective analysis of two dimensional plane problems with geometrical discontinuities, singular finite element has been proposed. The element matrix equation was formulated on the basis of hybrid variational principle and Trefftz function sets derived consistently from the complex theory of plane elasticity by introducing a conformal mapping function. In order to suggest the accuracy characteristics of the proposed singular finite element, typical plane problems were analyzed and these results were compared with exact solutions. The singular finite element gives the comparatively exact values of stress concentration factors or stress intensity factors and can be effectively used for the analysis of mechanical structures containing various geometrical discontinuities.

BGA test sockets failed earlier than the expected life-time due to abnormal signal delay, shown especially at the low temperature ($-50^{\circ}C$). Analysis of failed sockets was conducted by EDX, AES, and XRD. A SnO layer contaminated with C was found to form on the surface of socket pins. The formation of SnO layer was attributed to the repeated Sn transfer from BGA balls to pin surface and instant oxidation of fresh Sn. As a result, contact resistance increased, inducing signal delay. Abnormal signal delay at the low temperature was attributed to the increasing resistivity of Sn oxide with decreasing temperature, as manifested by the resistance measurement of $SnO_2$.

Electroless Ni-P coating is widely used for chemical, electronic, and semiconductor equipment parts because of its corrosion resistance. The incorporation of chemically-inert PTFE particles into the Ni-P films improves properties such as, non-stick, anti-adhesive and better corrosion resistance. However, soft PTFE particles degrade the hardness, wear and abrasion resistance. In this study, effects of PTFE and W addition to the Ni-P-coatings were compared by the XRD, SEM, sheet resistance, contact angle, and microhardness measurements. The change in sheet resistance was negligible, but contact angle was doubled by the addition of PTFE and W. The microhardness was lower for Ni-P-PTFE, but higher for Ni-P-PTFE-W coatings, compared to that of Ni-P coatings.

세계화 시대 코로나는 새로운 문제를 제기하고 이에 따라 윤리와 도덕도 바뀔 필요가 있다. 필자는 세계화 시대 코로나는 공동체의 범위에 대한 변화를 요구하며, 공동체의 공익을 실현하기 위한 방법에도 변화를 요구한다고 주장할 것이다. 이러한 주장을 위해 첫째, 코로나 위기의 원인과 해법에 대한 논의를 살펴보고, 지금까지 우리사회의 통념이었던 자국중심주의와 인간중심주의의 한계를 지적할 것이다. 둘째, 자국중심주의와 인간중심주의의 한계를 극복하기 위해 공동체의 범위가 바뀔 필요가 있음을 주장할 것이다. 이와 관련해 싱어(Peter Singer)와 캘리코트(J. B. Callicitt)의 논의를 소개하고 평가할 것이다. 셋째, 공동체의 공익 실현을 위한 방법도 바뀔 필요가 있으며, 이를 위해 스미스(Adam Smith)의 정의론적 접근을 살펴볼 것이다. A new era sometimes requires a change in ethics and morals. Corona in the era of globalization raises new problems, and I think ethics and morals need to be changeed. This article will argue that the Corona in the globalization era requires a change in the scope of the community, and also the method to realize the common good of the community. To make this argument, first, we will examine the causes and the solutions of the Corona crisis, and point out the limitations of nationalism and anthropocentrism, which have been conventional views in our society. Second, it will be argued that the scope of the community needs to be changed in order to overcome the limitations of nationalism and anthropocentrism. In this regard, the discussion of Peter Singer and J. B. Callicitt will be introduced and evaluated. Third, it is necessary to change the method for realizing the interests of the community, and we will look at Adam Smith's approach to justice.

행복, 또는 좋은 삶은 우리 시대의 중요한 관심사이다. 이것에 대한 관심은 오늘날 철학이나 윤리학을 넘어, 긍정심리학과 행복경제학의 형태로 나타나고 있다. 행복 또는 좋은 삶을 구성하는 핵심적 요소로 거론되는 것은 즐거운 삶과 의미 있는 삶인 것으로 보인다. 이 글은 즐거운 삶과 의미 있는 삶이 행복 또는 좋은 삶과 관련해 모두 필요하다는 전제에서 논의를 진행할 것이다. 그리고 만일 그렇다면 그것들은 어떻게 양립가능하며 양자의 관계는 어떤 것이어야 하는가 하는 문제를 다룰 것이다. 이와 관련해 이 글은 셀리그만과 밀의 논의를 살펴볼 것이다. 그 다음 이들의 논의를 비교하고, 교육 및 복지 정책 등 사회적 의사결정의 방향을 제안할 것이다. Happiness or good life are the important issues in our times. The concern about the issues transcends the realm of philosophy and ethics, appears in the forms of Positive Psychology and Happiness Economics. The pleasant life and the meaningful life are regarded as the core elements that constitute the happiness and good life. We also think that they are necessary to the happiness and good life. This article will examine how they are compatible and what the relationship between them should be. We will deal with the discussions of M. Seligman and J. S. Mill. Then we will compare their discussions with each other, and suggest the method of the social decision making on education and social welfare policy.

해양환경을 고려한 다성분계 시멘트 콘크리트의 황산염 및 동결융해 저항 특성

Recently, concrete using multicomponent blended cement has been required to increase the freeze-thaw and sulfate resistances if concrete structures exposed to a marine environment. Thus, the purpose of this study was to propose the use of concrete containing multicomponent blended cement as one of the alternatives for concrete structures exposed to a marine environment. For this purpose, batches of concrete containing ordinary portland cement (OPC), binary blended cement (OPC-G, G: ground granulated blast slag), ternary blended cement (OPC-GF, F: fly ash), and quaternary blended cement (OPC-GFM, M: mata-kaolin) were made using a water-binder ratio of 50%. Then, the durability levels, including thesulfate and freeze-thaw resistances, were estimated for concrete samples containing OPC, OPC-G, OPC-GF, and OPC-GFM. It was observed from the tests that the durability levels of the concrete samples containing OPC-G and OPC-GF were found to be much better than that if the concrete containing OPC. The optimum mixing proportions were a40%replacement ratio of ground granulated blast slag for the binary blended cement and a30% replacement ratio of ground granulated blast slag and 10% fly ash for the ternary blended cement.

이 글은 새만금개발논쟁에서 핵심쟁점이었던 갯벌의 가치와 경제성 논쟁을 다룬다. 그리고 논쟁과정에 나타났던 비용편익분석의 접근방법을 분석한다. 필자는 비용편익분석으 접근방법을 엘리트주의, 선호공리주의, 양적 환원주의, 시장민주주의로 특징짓고, 그것의 철학적 한계를 분석한다. 그리고 대안으로 심의적 의사결정의 방법을 제안한다. 새만금 문제는 경제적 분석만으로는 해결할 수 없는 가치문제와 분배문제가 개입되었다는 이유에서 그러하다. 또한 심의적 의사결정(deliberative decision-marking)은 부산물로 정치적 정당성의 확보, 미래세대에 대한 배려, 시민교육의 강점을 갖고 있다는 점을 밝힌다.
