        The Relationship between Perceived Stress Scale and Carotid Intima-Media Thickness Using Ultrasonography in University Students

        경동맥 내막-중막 두께(CIMT) 검사는 심장 질환의 증상이 없는 환자에서도 안전하고 비 침습적으로 죽상경화증을 검사하고 모니터 할 수 있는 표준화 된 초음파 절차이다. 본 연구의 목적은 초음파로 측정 한 경동맥 내막-중막 두께와 환자의 스트레스 정도를 측정하는 것이었다. 연구 대상자는 경기도 수원시에 있는 기타 질환이 없는 대학생 168 명(남자 46 명, 여자 122 명)이었다. 이 연구에서 참가자들의 연구 참여는 문서를 통하여 개인적으로 동의를 받았다. 경동맥 내막-중막 두께는 비 침습성 고 해상도 Medison Accuvix V20 초음파 장비를 사용하여 분기점 아래 1 cm의 좌우 총경동맥에서 측정되었고, 스트레스 인지정도는 10 가지 항목의 PSS (Perceived Stress Scale)설문지를 이용하였다. 이 연구는 PSS가 인지된 스트레스 수준과 체중을 추정하는데 적절함을 나타냈다. 스트레스 유무에 따라 좌측 CIMT와 체중 간에 통계적으로 유의 한 차이가 있었다(p<0.05). 이 연구의 결과는 체중 측정이 부분적으로는 일반화 된 스트레스에 영향을 받는다는 것을 시사합니다. CIMT에 대한 인지된 스트레스와 일반화 된 불안의 영향을 테스트하기 위해서는 다양한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다.

        유기금속화학증착법으로 유리기판 위에 성장된 산화아연 하이브리드 구조의 광학적 전기적 특성

        A zinc oxide (ZnO) hybrid structure was successfully fabricated on a glass substrate by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). In-situ growth of a multi-dimensional ZnO hybrid structure was achieved by adjusting the growth temperature to determine the morphologies of either film or nanorods without any catalysts such as Au, Cu, Co, or Sn. The ZnO hybrid structure was composed of one-dimensional (1D) nanorods grown continuously on the two-dimensional (2D) ZnO film. The ZnO film of 2D mode was grown at a relatively low temperature, whereas the ZnO nanorods of 1D mode were grown at a higher temperature. The change of the morphologies of these materials led to improvements of the electrical and optical properties. The ZnO hybrid structure was characterized using various analytical tools. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to determine the surface morphology of the nanorods, which had grown well on the thin film. The structural characteristics of the polycrystalline ZnO hybrid grown on amorphous glass substrate were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Hall-effect measurement and a four-point probe were used to characterize the electrical properties. The hybrid structure was shown to be very effective at improving the electrical and the optical properties, decreasing the sheet resistance and the reflectance, and increasing the transmittance via refractive index (RI) engineering. The ZnO hybrid structure grown by MOCVD is very promising for opto-electronic devices as Photoconductive UV Detectors, anti-reflection coatings (ARC), and transparent conductive oxides (TCO).

        선박충돌 위기상황에서 선박운항자가 지각한 충돌위험도 분석

        Objective: The purpose of this study is to present the basic guidelines for preventing human error by measuring and analyzing the risk of collision perceived by the ship operator in the collision risk situation by using Korea Coast Guard patrol ships. Background: In the last 5 years, 97.5% of the causes of ship collision occurred at the sea was caused by human factors. However, the rate of marine accidents due to human error has not been reduced yet. Experiments and researches on the ship operators using the ships in actual operation are rarely performed. Method: Using two K.C.G Ships on the sea, the ship measured by 30 persons who are the subject of the ship (ship operator) when both ships approach and the relative distance gradually decreases in four encounter situations, perceived ship collision risk (PSCR) data were analyzed by statistical analysis. Results: The age and boarding career of the ship operator in the situation of ship collision risks encountered a negative impact on perceived collision risk in all four opposing encounter situations S1 ($000^{\circ}$), S2 ($045^{\circ}$), S3 ($090^{\circ}$) and S4 ($135^{\circ}$) respectively. That is, the higher the age of the ship operator, the lower the perceived risk of collision and the lower the age, the higher the risk of collision. Also, there was a difference between the average of group A (20~30 years) and group B (40~50 years) according to age of the ship operators at $000^{\circ}$, $045^{\circ}$ and $090^{\circ}$ and there was no difference at $135^{\circ}$. The mean difference of the experience of boarding career was also significantly different between group A (less than 4 years) and group B (more than 5 years), but there was no significant difference at $135^{\circ}$. Conclusion: The results showed that age and boarding career of the ship operators had negative impact on perceived collision risk and there was a difference in perceived risk of collision according to age and abundance of boarding career. As a result, by focusing on the ship operators who are in the age group of 20~30 years old and have less than 4 years of experience in boarding the ship. It is expected that the effect of prevention of marine accidents can be expected by avoiding collision avoidance. Application: The results of this study can be used as policy data of related organizations to prevent human error of ship operators and as training data of training institutes.

        In the rapidly changing current society, the Korean National Police(KNP) is facing a lot of demands from the citizens like the protection of subject/victim rights, independence of investigation authority, disclosure of actual truth, and prevention & eradication of crimes. It is widely recognized among the Korean people and the police that the KNP is always standing for the rights of the people and it is high time that the KNP should be restored as the pioneer for the protection of human right. In this situation, the tremendous emphasis is given on the importance of investment in investigative training through the long-term master-plan in order to renovate its constitution, to level up its quality, and to cope with the highly sophisticated crime patterns. Korean police have already shown its outstanding investigative skills of identification of the deceased throughout large cases like Daegu subway arson and tsunami in Southeast Asia. In addition, the skills of cyber crime investigation are highly recognized by foreign law enforcement agencies. However, the investigative skills and abilities are being degraded and the morale of the investigative personnel are falling due to the insufficiently of the finite training budget. Lack of financial support results in the lack of training program and poor training environment, which subsequently leads to the inefficiency of training. Additionally, no long-term budget for fostering specialized investigative agents is allotted. Considering the fact that more than 95% of crimes in Korea are being primarily investigated by the Korean police, we have to understand the importance of the police. By the tremendous investment in investigative training which can lead to the high-quality investigations, the Korean police can ultimately contribute to the protection of safety and life of its people.

        On A Reduction of Pitch Searching Time by Preprocessing in the CELP Vocoder

        부호여기된 선형예측(CELP) 음성부호화기는 4.8 kbps 이하의 낮은 전송 비율에서도 좋은 성능을 갖는다. CELP형 부호기의 단점은 많은 계산량을 필요로 한다는 것이다. 본 논문에서, 우리는 복잡성을 줄이면서 CELP 보코더의 음질을 유지하는 새로운 피치 검색법을 제안하였다. 이것은 음성 파형의 자기상관계를 간단한 전처리관계식에 의해 사전에 파악하여 필요한 구간에 대해서만 피치검색을 수행하는 방법이다. 제안한 방법은 피치검색에서 기존의 방법에 비해 약 $77\%$의 복잡성이 감소되었다. Code Excited Linear Prediction(CELP) speech coders exhibit good performance at data rates below 4.8 kbps. This major drawback of CELP type coders is required much computation. In this paper, we propose a new pitch search method that preserves the quality of the CELP vocoder with reducing complexity. In the pitch searching, we detect the segments of high correlation by a simple preprocessing, and then carry out the pitch searching only for the segments obtained by the preprocessing. By using the proposed method, we can get approximately $77\%$ complexity reduction in the pitch search.
