        장구균 Enterococcus faecalis의 다제배출 펌프단백질 EmeA의 생화학적인 특징

        Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212 균주의 염색체로부터 클로닝된 다제 내성 유전자 emeA의 발현은 항생제 및 여러 약제에 대해 내성을 나타내며, DAPI와 Hoechst 33342 등을 배출하는 것으로 보고되었다. 본 연구에서는 약제 초감수성 숙주균주인 대장균 KAM32에 emeA 유전자를 발현시키고, 다제배출 펌프단백질인 EmeA의 생화학적인 특징에 대해 발표한다. EmeA는 393개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있으며, Major Facilitate Super Family의 전형적인 특징인 12개의 막관통구조를 가지고 있었다. 또한 Lactococcus lactis의 Blt 및 Staphylococcus aureus의 NorA, 그리고 Escherichia coli의 TetA 등과 아미노산 서열에서 상당한 유사성을 나타내었다. 형광기질인 ethidium bromide와 acriflavine을 이용한 약제축적 활성 실험에서 EmeA를 발현하는 균주는 대조균주에 비해 현저하게 낮은 세포내 약제축적을 나타내었으며, ethidium bromide를 이용한 약제배출활성 실험에서 EmeA 발현균주는 에너지 의존적인 ethidium bromide 배출활성을 나타내었다. 또한 약제배출 펌프단백질로 알려져 있는 reserpine은 EmeA의 ethidium bromide 배출활성에 대해서도 강력한 저해활성을 나타내었다. It was reported that expression of emeA gene, which was cloned from Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212, is responsible for the resistance against several antibiotics and for the efflux drugs, like as DAPI and Hoechst 33342. In this study, emeA gene was expressed in Escherichia coli KAM32, which is hypersensitive to many antibiotics and antimicrobial agents, and the biochemical properties of EmeA, a multidrug efflux pump, were investigated. EmeA showed 12 transmembrane domain structure which was constituted with 393 amino acids. EmeA showed significant homology in amino acid sequence with Blt of Lactococcus lactis, NorA of Staphylococcus aureus, and TetA of E. coli. EmeA expressing cells showed significantly lower accumulation level of ethidium bromide and acriflavine than EmeA non-expressing cells. Moreover, EmeA expressing cells represented efflux activity of ethidium bromide and acriflavine from the cells in an energy-dependent manner. This efflux activity was strongly inhibited by reserpine, which was known as a strong inhibitor of many drug efflux pumps.

        Considering that fascism has flourished on the basis of economic and social crises historically, there are many similarities between the economic situations of the 1930s’ European societies and those of the present neoliberal age. These similarities are derived from the fact that the two eras, accordingly, share social and ideological orientations. Terry Eagleton viewed that one possible future after Postmodern end-of-history thinking would be fascism. After participating in the Spanish Civil War, W. H. Auden and George Orwell assumed opposing attitudes to Fascism becoming world system. They regarded Germany under Nazism and Russia under Stalin as totalitarian states and criticised them as such. Their efforts were to defend democratic socialism with human face.

        주요 접근가능한 주택디자인이 노년층의 이동장애와 주거만족도의 관계에 미치는 영향

        This study investigated whether housing accessibility plays a significant role in explaining the relation between mobility disability and residential satisfaction of seniors. Also, it identified people who are at greatest risk of mobility disability and living in homes without housing accessibility. We analyzed the 2011 American Housing Survey data with a sample of 20,089 households aged 55 and over living in single-family homes. Results show that although residential satisfaction decreased as mobility became more disabled, the key housing accessibility features were significant buffers against the negative impact of mobility disability on residential satisfaction. Seniors who were Black, low-income, housing-costs burden and renters in older housing in an urban area were more likely to have mobility limitations but fewer housing accessibility features. The moderating effect of housing accessibility on residential satisfaction was much greater for seniors with greater mobility disability. For vulnerable seniors living in an old single-family home, housing policymakers or local communities should consider home modification programs and services after evaluating housing accessibility.

        유와 김이익 유배시조의 구조와 전개

        본고는 유와 김이익이 창작한 유배시조의 구조와 전개를 밝히고자 한 연구이다. 유와는 세 번의 유배형을 선고받았으며, 1788년 첫 번째 유배지였던 함경남도 이성에서 『관성잡록』 소재 10수의 시조와 세 번째 유배지인 금갑도에서 『금강영언록』(1802)이라는 제목으로 60수의 시조를 남긴 바 있다. 『관성잡록』은 초기 연구 이후 세밀한 분석이 이루어지지 않았으며, 『금강영언록』 역시 해제가 이루어졌지만 연구자마다 작품 분류에 상당한 차이를 보인다. 따라서 본고는 유와의 유배시조 전체를 연구 대상으로 하여 유와 시조의 구조와 내용 전개를 살펴보고자 하였다. 먼저, 『관성잡록』은 기승전결의 구조로 되어있으며, 『금강영언록』은 크게 5개의 주제로 구성되고 있음을 밝혔다. 이를 통해 유와 유배시조의 구조와 구성에 대해 살펴보았다. 뿐만 아니라, 유와 유배시조를 내용상 크게 두 부분으로 나누어 전개 양상을 살펴보았으며, 연군이 강화된다는 것과 자기애가 변화되어 기술된다는 것을 밝혔다. 또한, 경계의 대상이 확장되어 나타난다는 것과 해배에 대한 염원이 노골적으로 나타남을 밝혀 유와 유배시조의 내용이 어떻게 전개되는지를 살펴보았다. 본 논의를 통해 유와 유배시조의 특징이 조금은 밝혀졌으리라 생각한다. The aim of this paper is to study the structure and development of Yuwa Kim Yi-ik’s exil sijo. He went into exile three times. 1788, In Iseong, Hamgyong Nam-do, the first exile, he left 10 work of 『Kwanseongjaprock』. In the third exile, 1800, Geumgapdo, also left 60 works called 『Keusmgangyeongeonrok』 (1802). 『Kwanseongjaprock』 was after the initial study, detailed analysis was not performed. Although the 『Keumgangyeongeonrok』's study was released, there is a significant difference in the classification of works by subject for each researcher. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the structure and development of the works by targeting the entire Sijo of Yuwa Kim Yi-ik. First of all, the 『Kwanseongjaprock』 has a structure of four steps in composition(ki-seung-jeon-kyeol), and 『Keumgangyeongeonrok』 has a confirmed that it consists of five themes. Through this, I tried to examine the structure of Yuwa Kim Yi-ik’s exile Sijo. Not only that, the contents of the sijo were divided into two main parts to examine how they unfolded. As a result, it was revealed that Yeon-gun is being strengthened and the narcissism shown in the work is changing. In addition, it was confirmed that the object of the wariness was expanded and expressed the Hae-bae explicitly. Through this, the development of contents of Yuwa Kim Yi-ik’s exil sijo was investigated. It is thought that the characteristics of Yuwa Kim Yi-ik’s exil sijo will be revealed through this discussion.

        한지사 직물을 이용한 수의 제작 및 물성평가

        Using shrouds has been a long lasting custom to pay respect for the dead. The best clothes among those worn while the dead was alive were chosen: officials were treated with official clothes that they wore while alive; ordinary people were treated with wedding clothes, the best ceremonial dress. Among the excavated remains of the first and middle period of Chosen were found the clothes that have left traces indicating that the dead had worn while alive. From the late period of Chosen, however, not a few shrouds were excavated which were newly made of good silk, revealing that shrouds were specially made instead of using the clothes that the dead had worn while alive. This paper reports the following results obtained by shroud production out of 100% Hanji yarn fabric and from the evaluation of material property on Hanji yarn fabric. Evaluations on fastness to various aspects revealed that fastness to washing is largely grade 4, which is relatively high; Fastness to dry cleaning and rubbing is above grade 4, which is very high; Fastness to light is grade 3, which, just like silk, is somewhat low but is not a problem for shrouds at all. Expected effects from the shroud production out of 100% Hanji yarn fabric are great. So far, in making shrouds, hemp cloth has tended to be preferred, thereby leading to a shortage of domestic hemp cloth and the import of cheap Chinese product. Thus Hanji shrouds are expected to be widely used as an ordinary dress, thereby replacing low quality Chinese product, and to be further developed into a high value-added product.

        Emily Dickinson was regarded as “Vesuvius at Home” by Adrienne Rich because she frequently used the images of formidably destructive power including volcanos, bombs, earthquakes, and madness. Having huge energy, these images were found to be not so easy in elucidating the meaning of that huge power. Some critics considered this energy Emily Dickinson’s inner explosive power and creative desire without any social connection. This horribly destructive power, however, can be interpreted as revolutionary energy even though she did not express her social idea overtly. She presumed huge lava under the ground to negate the real negativity. Active volcanos connoted social unconsciousness desiring social changes strongly. (Daegu University)

        오든 시에 나타난 ‘몸’의 현재적 의미

        W. H. Auden viewed human body as the ideal model which showed a dialectical process of body and spirit to overcome the dualistic point of view. He put more value on man’s perception rather than conception. For Auden, the emphasis on human perception could be the best way to recognize man’s uniqueness and wholeness. In Auden’s poetry, such view was regarded as a precondition for heteronomy and interexistence. Terry Eagleton diagnosed that in postmodern situation, the shift from Merleau-Ponty to Foucault was one from the body as subject to the body as object. For Merleau-Ponty, the body was ‘where there is something to be done’; for the new somatics, ‘the body is where something-gazing, imprinting, regulating-is being done to you’. (Daegu University)

        유배가사 <북정가(北征歌)>에 나타난 이중린의 심회(心懷) 연구 - 『운포유고(雲圃遺稿)』 소재 한시를 참고하여

        본고는 운포 이중린의 19세기 유배가사 <북정가>를 연구대상으로 한다. <북정가>는 2013년에 학계에 알려졌으며 작자는 ‘이중언’으로 추측되었다. 이는 운포가 <북정가>에서 자신을 이중언으로 기술하였기 때문인데, 운포의 경우 『운포유고』 소재 단가(時調) 5편에서는 자신을 ‘이중경(李中鏡)’으로 기록하기도 하였었다. <북정가> 역시 이중린이란 본명 대신 이중언이란 가명(假名)으로 자신의 유배를 기록하려 한 것으로 해석된다. <북정가>는 운포가 유배를 선고받은 시점부터 작품이 시작되며, 약 2개월의 구금과 3개월 정도의 노정을 거쳐 유배지인 명천에 도착한 것까지 기술하고 있는 장편의 유배가사이다. 본고는 <북정가>와 『운포유고』 소재 한시를 통해 유배에 대한 운포의 심회를 고찰하고자 하였다. 먼저 운포는 자신의 구금과 유배에 대한 상황을 이해하기 위해 특정인을 의심하고 또 단정하는 모습을 보였다. 또한, 명천으로 발행하기 전, 운포는 친우들 앞에서는 자신의 유배를 긍정하는 모습을 보여주고자 하였지만, 실제 발행일 다가오자 감정적으로 동요하기도 하였다. 노정 중에는 봉별로 인한 정회를 표출하였으며, 질병, 지역, 친분이 있는 자와의 봉별을 통해 운포의 심회를 드러내는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 노정 중의 만남과 이별로 운포의 가장 처참한 심정을 보여주기도 하였고, 그의 내면을 드러내기도 하였다. 유배지인 명천에 도착한 운포는 자신이 사대부 신분이라는 것을 끝까지 강조하였는데, 죄인이 된 상황에서 마지막까지 내세울 수 있었던 것이 사대부라는 명예뿐이었다고 할 수 있다. This paper targets the study of <Bukjeongga>, a 19th-century exile gasa by Unpo Lee Jung-rin. <Bukjeongga> was known in academia in 2013, and the author was presumed to be ‘Lee jungeon’. This is because Unpo described himself as a Lee jung-eon in <Bukjeongga>, and in the case of Unpo, he was also recorded as ‘Lee Joong-kyung’ in the 5th installment of Unpo Yugo. It is interpreted that <Bukjeongga> also tried to record his exile under the alias of Lee Jung-eon instead of the real name Lee Jung-rin. <Bukjeongga> is a feature-length exile gasa that describes the arrival of Unpo in Myeongcheon, the exile site, after about two months of detention and a three-month journey. This paper attempted to examine Unpo‘s review of exile through the poems of <Bukjeongga> and 『Unpo Yugo』. First, Unpo was suspicious of a specific person in order to understand the circumstances of his detention and exile. Before traveling to Myeongcheon, Unpo tried to show that he affirmed his exile in front of his close friends, but as the actual date approached, he was emotionally agitated. On the way to the destination, it was confirmed that the meeting and separation caused by the separation were expressed, and that the deep heart of Unpo was revealed through the meeting and separation with diseases, regions, and acquaintances. Meeting and parting on the way to the destination showed Unpo’s most disastrous feelings and revealed his inner self. Unpo, who arrived in Myeongcheon, the exile site, emphasized to the end that he was a Sadaebu, and it can be said that the only thing that could be put forward until the end as a sinner was the Sadaebu.
