This research was designed to evaluate the effect of need and of demographic variables of adult women on the conformity and individuality in the selection of clothes. 1. There are factors which have effect on variables of need. Marriage status, household type, age have effect on safety need, household type and age have effect on belongingness and love need. Household type and native community have effect on self-esteem need, household type, native community, school career, frequency of contact with mass media have effect on need for self-actualizing. Native community have effect on aesthetic need, and school careers have effect on the desires to know and to understand. 2. Self-esteem need, belongingness and love need, safty need, need for self-actualizing, aesthetic need, frequency of contact with mass media and income as demographic variables are directly related with conformity of clothing. Age, marriage status, native community, household type, school career are indirectly related with conformity of clothing. 3. Self-esteem need, need for self-actualizing, aestheitic need, desires to know and to understand, belongingness and love need, frequency of contact with mass media, household type have direct effect on the individuality of clothing. And age, household type, native community, school career have indirect effect on the individuality of clothing.

The role of Haute-Couture were studied in view point of art and commerce. It has always created a new mode and developed the designing materials and the stable techniques for a work of art. The Haute-Couture has played a pivotal role as a chief source of mode creation and the designers have found their creative ideas on the materials such as a building, art gallery, cinema, costume, and a music. They have displayed their images in clothes on the basis of these materials and their garments were sublimated into art. But the work of art could not made a financial profit on the fantastic and unpractical side, and so, an emphasis on commercialism were to be an essential preposition. For this, Houte-Couture houses were enterprised and merchandized the royalties of ready-made suit, perfumes, accessories, undergarments, jewelry, and handbags to gain profits. The designers have introduced their pieces and creative vogues through the fashion shows. In the end, only when a successive graft between art and commerce is harmonized, there will be a realized Haute-Couture to play the leading role as a creative vogue.

This Study tried to identify the problems and causes of Japanese perspective on war criminals focusing on the perception of war criminals in the trial process of BC class war crimes trial. To this end, this paper investigated how the spirit of Samurai was projected into the perception of the BC class war criminals and Japanese society by examining Yokohama Court’s " Bushido Trial", one of the BC class war crimes trials, and the nature of the Samurai spirit, which became the spiritual foundation of the Japanese people under the modern emperor system. As a result, the traditional Japanese spirit of the Samurai was thoroughly used to establish the ideology of the modern emperor. This was later deteriorated into the Imperial Samurai Spirit which claimed even one’s life for the Emperor at war times. Because BC class war criminals were brainwashed in this spirit, they could not feel any sense of conscience or responsibility for the atrocities of war carried out in the name of the Emperor. The lack of guilt on the war and war responsibility in the present Japanese society can be said to be relevant to the imperial Samurai spirit. Before criticizing the war crimes trial against Japan, Japanese society should look at the realities and problems of the imperial Samurai spirit that was transformed for the establishment of the modern emperor ideology. Only then would it be possible to confront the historical fact of how many Asian countries have been damaged by the war in the name of the Emperor, and move to a real reconciliation with the other Asian countries.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the harmony of colors of the traditional Korean skirt and jacket. 3 colors of jacket and 6 colors of skirt were combined by 4 kind of color's tone. The Korean women college students and the American women college students (University of Wisconsin-Madison) were selected to evaluate the harmony of colors. It could be supposed that the different evaluation were caused by their different cultural backgrounds. The results of the research can be summarized as follows. When colors were combined with four tone(vivid, light, dull and dark), American students evaluated the same colors of red skirt and red jacket, green skirt and green jacket as harmonized coloration. But Korean students thought they were not harmonized. The yellow colors of jacket and the similar colors of red skirt were evaluated as harmonized by both Korean and American students. They evaluated the green jacket and the red skirt of contrast color as harmonized. The different tone of color caused the different evaluation of harmony of colors by both Korean and American students.

당뇨병은 대사 이상에서 기인되는 대표적인 만성질환으로 우리나라 30세 이상 당뇨 유병률은 2009년 9.6%로 점차 증가 추세에 있으며 당뇨병으로 인한 사망률은 인구 10만 명당 20.7명으로 사망원인 5위이다(Korean National Statistics Office [KNSO], 2010). 당뇨병 유병률은 나이에 따라 증가하는 경향이 있어, 전 세계적으로 노인의 당뇨병 유병률 역시 증가 추세에 있으며(Wild, Roglic, Green, Sicree, & King, 2004), 우리나라는 비만과 관련하여 1992년에서 2000년 사이 특히 젊은 연령층에서 당뇨병 유병률이 무려 400%나 증가한 것으로 나타났다(Kwon et al., 2008).

The purpose of this research was to compare the evaluation of tone on tone coloration of traditional Korean dress by Korean and American women college students. The respondents were asked to evaluate 48 stimuli of the traditional Korean skirt and jacket with different tone of color. The evaluation of Korean and American students admit of various interpretation, and it can be said that they were caused by their different cultural bacgrounds. The results of reseach can be summerized as follows. As to the red colors, Korean students evaluated vivid skirt and light or dark jacket, light skirt and vivid or dull, dark jacket, dull skirt and light jacket as harmonized. But American students judged light skirt and dull and light jacket as not hamonized. As to the yellow colors, both Korean and American students had common opinions that light skirt and dull jacket are well harmonized. Korean students thought vivid skirt and dull jacket, light skirt and dull, dark jacket, dull skirt and dark jacket are well harmonized. American students thought light skirt and vivid, light, dull jacket, dull skirt and light jacket are well harmonized. As to the green colors, Korean students evaluated vivid skirt and dull, dark jacket, light skirt and vivid, dull, dark jacket are well harmonized. But American students evaluated vivid skirt and light jacket, light skirt and dark jacket, dark skirt and vivid or light jacket are not harmonized. Among 48 stimuli of tone on tone coloration, Korean students evaluated 18 set and American students judged 30 set as harmonized.
