Aerobic dance를 사용한 3개월 간의 『운동+식사 프로그램』이 비만경향 여성의 형태 및 신체조성에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of a weight-loss program in obese women. Sixty-seven subjects, aged 37.1±8.7 years, joined in the program that comprised diet and exercise prescription. The exercise prescription consisted of a 60-rnin aerobic dance(2d/wk) and self-selected, unsupervised aerobic exercise. The duration of this program was 3months. As a result, body mass and %fat significantly decreased from 61.9±8.4 to 59.1 ±8.3㎏ and from 30.7±7.5 to 26.6±7.0%(p<0.05), respectively. Fat-free mass(FFM) remained essentially unchanged (42.6±4.2 vs. 43.0±3.7㎏). About 10% of all subjects lost FFM by more than 2㎏, and accordingly, their energy yield was not enough to maintain FFM. Among the subjects who successfully reduced excess fat and maintained FFM no change in energy yield and reduction in upper body fat were found. Conversely, the subjects who could not maintain FFM lost lean tissue in lower limbs. It is suggested that our weight-loss program with exercise is useful in improving body composition and diet ingestion, and that particularly aerobic dance is considered available for reducing excess fat.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of gamma irradiation on the total bacterial population and the sensory quality of <I>Dakgalbi</I> irradiated before and after cooking. Fresh chicken meat was cut into small pieces and used to prepare <I>Dakgalbi</I>. For the preparation of <I>Dakgalbi</I> cooked with gamma-irradiated chicken meat and sauce (IBC), raw chicken meat and <I>Dakgalbi</I> sauce were irradiated and then stir-fried. For the preparation of <I>Dakgalbi</I> irradiated after cooking with raw chicken meat and sauce (IAC), raw chicken meat and <I>Dakgalbi</I> sauce were first cooked and subsequently irradiated. Under the accelerated storage condition of 35°C for 7 days, bacteria in IBC were below the detection limit (1log CFU/g) on day 1 but were detected on day 2 and gradually increased hereafter. In IAC, on the other hand, bacteria were not detected at all. Evaluation of sensory quality also decreased on both samples. However, IAC showed a better trend. Our results indicate that IAC protocol was a more effective method for reducing bacterial growth in <I>Dakgalbi</I>.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P><P>► We compared the microbial safety and sensory property of <I>Dakgalbi</I> irradiated before and after cooking. ► <I>Dakgalbi</I> irradiated after cooking can be more effective processing method on microbial safety. ► Sensory property decreased on both <I>Dakgalbis</I> by irradiation-induced off-flavor. ► <I>Dakgalbi</I> irradiated after cooking showed a better tendency on the sensory evaluation.</P>

As the size of container ships continues to increase, not many existing harbors can host the super-container ship with its increased draft and the corresponding dredging requires huge budget. In addition, the minimization of waiting and offloading time is the most important factor in harbor competitiveness. In this regard, mobile-harbor concept has been developed in Korea to achieve much improved harbor capacity and efficiency. In developing the concept, one of the most important elements is the operability of crane between two or more large floating bodies in side-by-side arrangement. The container ship is to be stationed through a hawser connection to a fixed-pile station at a near-shore region with the depth allowing its large draft. The mobile harbors with cranes are berthed to the side of its hull for container loading/offloading and transportation. The relative motions between the two or more floating bodies with hawser connection have to be within allowable range for the effective crane operation. Therefore, the reliable prediction of the relative motions of the multiple floating bodies with hawser/mooring/fender is essential to find the best hull particulars, hawser/mooring arrangement, and docking-station design. Time-domain multi-hull-mooring coupled dynamic analysis program is used to assess the global performance of the moored system and the hydrodynamic interactions among the multiple floating bodies. In particular, the behaviors of the whole system in non-collinear wind-wave-current environment are simulated and compared to those of collinear cases.
상안정맥 확장 및 시력 저하를 보인 중심정맥협착: 해면경막 동정맥루로 오인된 증례 보고

Central venous stenosis is a relatively common complication in hemodialysis patients; however, jugular venous reflux (JVR) and increased intracranial pressure are rare, and associated progressive visual disturbance was reported in only a few cases. Here, we report a case of JVR with visual disturbance and increased intracranial pressure. Notably, the MRI was accompanied by a dilatation of the superior ophthalmic vein, which was mistaken for a cavernous sinus dural arteriovenous fistula (CSdAVF). The patient had JVR on time-of-flight MR angiography (TOF-MRA) and severe stenosis of the left brachiocephalic vein on conventional angiography. After balloon angioplasty for central venous stenosis, he was discharged after improvement of his visual disturbance. Although JVR due to central venous stenosis and CSdAVF might show similar symptoms, treatment plans are different. Therefore, it is important to distinguish radiologically based on a thorough review of MRI and TOF-MRA and confirm the central venous stenosis on cerebral angiography for the accurate diagnosis. 투석 환자에서 중심정맥협착은 비교적 흔한 합병증이나, 이로 인한 경정맥역류 및 두개내압상승은 드물며, 진행성 시력 저하를 보이는 경우는 몇 개의 증례만 보고되고 있다. 저자들은경정맥역류로 인한 두개내압 상승, 시력 저하 그리고 뇌 MRI에서의 상안정맥 확장에 대해해면경막 동정맥루로 오인하였던 증례를 보고하고자 한다. 환자는 time-of-flight MR angiography (이하 TOF-MRA)에서 경정맥역류 소견이 있었고, 혈관조영술에서 좌측 완두정맥의협착이 확인되었다. 중심정맥협착에 대해 풍선혈관성형술을 시행하였고 증상이 호전되어 퇴원하였다. 중심정맥협착에 의한 경정맥역류와 해면경막 동정맥루는 유사한 증상을 보일 수있으나 치료법이 다르므로, MRI와 TOF-MRA의 면밀한 검토를 토대로 영상의학적으로 감별하는 것이 중요하며, 뇌혈관조영술을 통해 중심정맥협착 유무를 확인하는 것이 필요하다.
Hydrodynamic Interaction Analysis of Floating Multi-body System

Recently, several problems have occurred in the space, infra-structure, and facility of the contiguity of existing harbors due to the trend of enlarged container vessels. In this regard, the Mobile Harbor has been proposed conceptually in this study as an effective solution for these problems. The concept is that of a transfer loader that transfers containers from a large container ship to the harbor on land, and is a catamaran type floating barge. The catamaran-type vessel is well known for its advantage in maneuverability, resistance, and effectiveness for working on board. For the safe and effective operation of the two floating bodies (a container ship and the mobile harbor in the near sea detached from the quay), robot arms, novel crane systems, and pneumatic fenders are specially devised with an additional mooring facility or DP (dynamic positioning) system. In this study, this concept is to be verified through comparison and simulation studies under various environmental conditions. It is shown that the proposed concept is in general feasible but there are several areas for further investigation and improvement.
