This study was conducted to investigate wintering ecology and habitat using pattern of cranes for sound protection and management of the birds and their habitat near the Demilitarized Zone(DMZ) of Cheolwon, South Korea. Distribution of cranes seemed to be affected by road construction and human activity. Dried rice paddy was mainly habitat type of cranes in Cheolwon area. Gleaning was dominant behavior during day time. Ratio of alert was increased in afternoon. There was difference in time budget of behavior between red-crowned and white-naped cranes. For the stable wintering of cranes, minimum change of habitat, decrease of human disturbance and stable food maintenance would be needed in Cheolwon area.

Post radical mastectomy reconstruction using a transverse rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap involves certain problems at the donor site as the difficulty in closure secondary to excessive tension and the development of a postsurgical abdominal hernia. The usage of alloplastic materials such as Marlex may also cause eventual weakness as well as a foreign body reaction. While autogenous tissues may be used for a remote myocutaneous flap transposition or a free-tissue transfer, the problems such as a donor site defect, atrophy secondary to denervation, etc. exist. To avert these problems, we propose to use the autogenous tissue in a manner that provides a dynamic support in addition to the functional reconstruction. The components separation method decribed here separates the muscle groups of the abdominal wall, and allows several advantages over treating the abdominal wall as a single unit. One of the advantages is the increased mobility of individual muscles. The allows transferance of the flap over a greater distance which in turn reduces excessive tension and makes closure of the donor site defect easier. Thus, this procedure provides a dynamic support and reduces the incidence of hernia. We experienced 3 cases of abdominal wall reconstruction after TRAM flap transfer(one case after bilateral TRAM flap, two cases after contralateral unilateral TRAM flap) using external oblique muscle sharing or rectus sharing. So we present clinical cases of the abdominal wall reconstruction after TRAM flap transfer with a review of the literature.
The Electrospinning Process and Mechanical Properties of Nanofiber Mats under Vacuum Conditions

<P>The structure and morphology of the electrospun nanofiber depend on the parameters such as the physical properties of polymer, the applied voltages, tip to collector distance and ambient condition. Until now, most of studies have been focused on the effects of the above mentioned parameters for electrospinning process. But the study on vacuum conditions in electrospinning process almost not exists. The goal of this study is to investigate the effects of vacuum conditions in electrospinning process. The setup of electrospinning device is installed within homemade vacuum chamber. The polymer jets are ejected from a multi-spinneret connected with a microsyringe pump towards the collector located at fixed distance from the needle tip under a vacuum condition. The nanofiber mats are fabricated using a rotating collector. The visualization and imaging system of electrospinning process are consisted of a green laser devices, microscope, CCD camera and image recording device. During the electrospinning process, the behaviors of nanofiber are visualized and analyzed by this system. The morphologies and dimensions of electrospun fiber mat are measured with SEM. As a final result, the vacuum conditions of electrospinning process influence the behaviors of nanofiber.</P>
Numerical and experimental investigation of conventional and un-conventional preswirl duct for VLCC

This paper shows the study of preswirl duct as an effective energy saving devices that have been devised and reviewed to support the propeller performance, especially for the ship of VLCC with large block coefficients. From the bare hull wake measurements, typical upper/lower asymmetry of hull wake at the propeller disk was found. The 2 kinds of pre-swirl duct, Unconventional half circular duct and Conventional circular pre-swirl duct have been designed and reviewed to recover the loss of propeller running in that condition. The general function of the pre-swirl duct was set to work against this asymmetry of wake and generate pre-swirled flow into the propeller against the propeller rotating direction. The optimum self propulsion tests with various angle configurations were carried out and the best configuration was decided. Accordingly, cavitation test was carried out with best configuration of unconventional half circular duct. The blade surface and tip vortex cavitation behaved smoother when the duct was mounted. The hull pressure amplitudes reflected this difference, so the hull pressure amplitude with duct was smaller than that of without duct.

We have successfully fabricated piezoelectric PMN-PT single crystal cantilever array. Each PMN-PT cantilever has a different length to achieve different resonance frequencies. The width and thickness of PMN-PT cantilever array are $200\;{\mu}m$ and $10\;{\mu}m$, respectively. Resonance frequencies of PMN-PT cantilevers were measured with laser interferometer, and charge sensitivity was measured with charge-measuring device. PMN-PT cantilever array was installed in a noise-shield case. The array was then exposed to sound pressure frequency corresponding to resonance frequency to measure its sensitivity. The experimental results show that the PMN-PT cantilever array has high sensitivity to the sound pressure. This implies that the single crystal PMN-PT cantilever array is a potential candidate for a cochlear-like acoustic sensor.
