      • Deep Displacement of Huangtupo Landslide in Three Gorges Reservoir Area, China

        Huangtupo landslide, one of the biggest and most complicated landslides in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, is located in the old site of Badong county. The deformation and stability condition are closely related to human lives and properties. Field investigation and monitoring methods are adopted in revealing the spatial distribution and deformation conditions of slip zone. The results show that there are two slip zones in the upper and lower part of Sub-landsldie#1. The major lower slip zone is located at the eastern part of Sub-landsldie#1. The cumulative displacement at the front of No.1 Sub-landslide is between 157.23mm and 199.09mm. The value in the middle part of No.1 Sub-landslide is 256.78mm and 184.7mm from two monitoring site. At the edge of No.1 Sub-landslide, the cumulative displacement is 72.51mm. Multi-fractal dimension was adopted to reveal the shallow deformation evolution characteristics of No.1 Sub-landslide. The multi-fractal dimension values are relatively big and the affects a lot by rainfall and water level but the landslide is in a relatively stable condition. In the study of deep formation of Huangtupo landslide, in No.1 Sub-landslide, the cumulative displacement at the slip zone increase steadily from 0mm to 54.32mm. The maximum value of monthly deformation rate of the slip zone decrease from the front to the edge of No.1 Sub-landslide. The multi-fractal dimension of the deep displacement shows similar trend with that of shallow part of No.1 Sub-landslide.

        Rheinic acid ameliorates radiation‑induced acute enteritis in rats through PPAR‑γ/NF‑κB

        Background Acute radiation enteritis (ARE), a common complication of intestinal caused by abdominal and pelvic radiation therapy. Rheinic acid is a major active ingredient derived from Rhubarb. Rhubarb could suppress inflammation, tumor, fibrosis oxidative damage. However, RA as the main active component and extract monomer of Rhubarb, the pharmacological activity and the underlying molecular mechanism on various diseases has not yet been revealed. Objective To determine the potential role of rheinic acid (RA) in ameliorating inflammation of rats with acute radiation enteritis (ARE), and explore the underlying mechanism. Methods ARE rat model was established by irradiated with single-dose 10 Gy X-rays at a rate of 0.62 Gy/min to the abdomen. The rats were executed after orally administered with Rheinic acid 7 days and used in the subsequent experiments. Body weight, fecal characteristics and bloody of rats were used to assess the disease activity index. Histological analysis of the jejunum and colon were evaluated using H&E staining. The pro-inflammatory cytokines levels were measured by immunohistochemistry and ELISA. The levels of nitric oxide (NO), malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH) were also determined. The mRNA and protein expression were examined by real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and western blot, respectively. Results Rheinic acid promoted intestinal functional recovery, and ameliorated intestinal damage and bloody stool in ARE rats. Rheinic acid strongly decreased the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin-1, interleukin-6, NO, and MDA, whereas increased levels of anti-oxidants, SOD and GSH. Moreover, the expression of apoptosis-related proteins, cleaved caspase-3 and cleaved poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), were decreased with RA treatment. Further study indicated that PPAR-γ was activated and thereby NF-κB and p38 MAPK signaling pathway were suppressed after rheinic acid treatment. Conclusion Rheinic acid could ameliorate acute radiation enteritis and the underlying molecular mechanism is, at least partially, through PPAR-γ/NF-κB and p38 MAPK/JNK pathways.

        산업연관분석에 의한 중국 물류산업의 경제적 파급효과 분석

        본 연구의 목적은 중국 산업연관표를 이용하여 중국 물류산업의 경제적 파급효과의 분석결과를 통해 물류산업에 대한 미래 발 전의 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해 중국 통계청의 2012, 2017년 산업연관표의 139개, 149개 산업 중 물류산 업과 직접 연관된 육상운송, 수상운송 등 5개 부문을 중국 물류산업으로 분류하였다. 분석결과 물류산업은 생산유발계수의 열 합 계는 2012년 3.6276에서 2017년 2.7666로, 행 합계는 2012년 5.7127에서 2017년 4.5200으로 감소하였다. 감응도계수는 2012년 1.7250에서 2017년 1.5581로, 영향력계수는 2012년 1.0954에서 2017년 0.9538로 다소 감소하였다. 부가가치유발계수는 2012년 1.261, 2017년 1.1578로 나타났다. 노동유발계수는 2012년 0.0589에서 2017년 0.0433로 감소하였다. 따라서 물류산업은 국민경제에 대한 이끌어 갈 수 있는 능력이 재고하기 위해 첫째, 물류산업의 전체 시스템화와 종합성을 강화해야 하고 산업 구조를 전환에 대한 노력이 필요하다. 둘째, 운송구조를 조정하여 우세를 가지고 있는 운송방식을 중점으로서 발전시키는 정책이 필요하다. 셋째, 물류산업의 국제화 수준을 높이기 위해서 정부 지원이 필요하다. 마지막으로, 기술기반의 자본집약형 산업으로 전환하기 위해 새 로운 기술과 정보 네트워크 기술을 적용함으로써 물류산업의 업그레이드를 추진한 정책이 필요하다. By analyzing how China’s logistics industry affect the national economy, this thesis hopes to suggest future strategies for logistics industry. In order to analyze the logistics industry effects on national economy, among the 139 industries, 149 industries in China’s 2012 and 2017 input-output table of the Chinese National Statistical Office, choosing overland transportation, water transportation, air transportation, multimodal transportation, and logistics support service were classified as Chinese logistics industries. As a result of the analysis, the total column of production inducement coefficient by the logistics industry decreased from 3.6276 in 2012 to 2.7666 in 2017, and the total row decreased from 5.7127 in 2012 to 4.5200 in 2017. The coefficient of sensitivity decreased slightly from 1.7250 in 2012 to 1.5581 in 2017 and the influence coefficient from 1.0954 in 2012 to 0.9538 in 2017. The value-added inducement coefficient was 1.261 in 2012 and 1.1578 in 2017. The labor inducement coefficient decreased from 0.0589 in 2012 to 0.0433 in 2017. There are four implications pointed out regarding to China’s logistics industry. First, the logistics industry needs to be a total systemization and generalization and make efforts to transform the industrial structure. Second, there needs a policy to focus on developing transportation methods that have an advantage. Third, logistics industry needs support from the government in order to reach its globalization level. Finally, for it to transform into a technology-capital-based industry, there needs to be a policy that expediate the upgrade of logistics industry, making it apply new technology and information network skills.

        TRPV1 regulates ApoE4-disrupted intracellular lipid homeostasis and decreases synaptic phagocytosis by microglia

        Although the ε4 allele of the apolipoprotein E (ApoE4) gene has been established as a genetic risk factor for many neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease, the mechanism of action remains poorly understood. Transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) was reported to regulate autophagy to protect against foam cell formation in atherosclerosis. Here, we show that ApoE4 leads to lipid metabolism dysregulation in microglia, resulting in enhanced MHC-II-dependent antigen presentation and T-cell activation. Lipid accumulation and inflammatory reactions were accelerated in microglia isolated from TRPV1flox/flox; Cx3cr1cre-ApoE4 mice. We showed that metabolic boosting by treatment with the TRPV1 agonist capsaicin rescued lipid metabolic impairments in ApoE4 neurons and defects in autophagy caused by disruption of the AKT-mTOR pathway. TRPV1 activation with capsaicin reversed ApoE4-induced microglial immune dysfunction and neuronal autophagy impairment. Capsaicin rescued memory impairment, tau pathology, and neuronal autophagy in ApoE4 mice. Activation of TRPV1 decreased microglial phagocytosis of synapses in ApoE4 mice. TRPV1 gene deficiency exacerbated recognition memory impairment and tau pathology in ApoE4 mice. Our study suggests that TRPV1 regulation of lipid metabolism could be a therapeutic approach to alleviate the consequences of the ApoE4 allele.

        The Correlation between NK Cell and Liver Function in Patients with Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma

        Background/Aims: This study aimed to detect the expression of natural killer (NK) cell receptor natural killer group 2D (NKG2D) in the peripheral blood of patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma and to discuss the correlation between NK cell cytotoxicity and liver function. Methods: The number of NK cells and the expression of NK cell receptor NKG2D in peripheral blood were determined by flow cytometry in patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatitis B cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis B, and healthy controls. Results: When compared with patients in the healthy and the chronic hepatitis B groups, the primary hepatocellular carcinoma group showed significant decreases in all parameters, including the cytotoxicity of NK cells on K562 cells, expression rate of NKG2D in NK cells, number of NKG2D+ NK cells, expression level of NKG2D, and number of NK cells (p<0.05). The activity of NK cells showed a positive correlation, whereas the Child-Pugh scores in the primary hepatocellular carcinoma and the hepatitis B cirrhosis groups showed a negative correlation with all parameters detected above. Conclusions: The decrease of NK cell activity in patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma is closely related to their lower expression of NKG2D. Liver function affects the expression of NKG2D and the activity of NK cells.

        Behavioral Responses of Pregnant Women to the Early Stage of COVID-19 Pandemic in the Network Era in China: Online Questionnaire Study

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the behavioral responses of pregnant women during the early stage of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. Methods: We recruited 1,099 women to complete an online questionnaire survey from February 10 to February 25, 2020. The subjects were divided into two groups (the pregnant women group and the control group). Results: Concerns about infection: most of the participants watched the COVID-19 news at least once a day. Protective behaviors: the utilization rate of pregnant women (often using various measures) was higher than that of nonpregnant women. Exercise: 30.6% of the pregnant women continued to exercise at home, whereas in the control group, this percentage was 8.4%. Spouse relationship: 38.8% of the subjects’ relationship improved, whereas only 2.3% thought the relationship was getting worse. Conclusion: Pregnant women had some unique behavioral responses different from that of nonpregnant women. It is important to understand the behavioral responses of pregnant women in this network era.

        Improvement of the Microstructure and Microhardness of AQ80 Magnesium Alloy by Repeated Upsetting-Extrusion

        In this work, a novel process of repeated upsetting-extrusion (RUE) was used to fabricate the AQ80 magnesium (Mg) alloy. The effects of deformation passes on the microstructure and microhardness of the RUEed AQ80 Mg alloy were studied. The results showed that {10–12} extension twins appeared in the sample after 1 pass of deformation compared to the initial sample, which divided the coarse grains and achieved the preliminary refinement of the grains. The grains were uniformly refined further with increasing RUE deformation passes, and after 3 passes, the average grain size was reduced from 27.4 to 3.0 μm. The grains were refined mainly by continuous dynamic recrystallization (CDRX), particle-stimulated nucleation (PSN), and discontinuous dynamic recrystallization (DDRX) mechanisms. After RUE deformation, the peak component of the texture was tilted by 0–20° toward the extrusion direction (ED) because of the increased activation of pyramidal < c + a > slip. The microhardness of the 3-pass RUE deformed sample increased by 12.9% compared to the initial sample. This is mainly attributable to fine-grained strengthening and second phase strengthening.
