The second generation DS alloy CM186LC has comparable creep-rupture life to first generation single crystal alloys CMSX-2 and CMSX-3 in the as-cast and double aged condition. In the assembly of nozzle guide vanes, Ds components are joined into pairs by brazing. In order to study mechanical behavior of the material at the same condition as production, DS bars were subjected to brazing simulated treatments. Compared with standard treatment a small drop in creep-rupture life was observed but the degree of fall in life was not serious. Creep cracks initiated at the transverse components of the grain boundaries, which were normal to the applied stress direction. Every crack was associated with the v-v' eutectic phase at grain boundaries v-v' eutectic was not only located at grain boundaries but also in the interdendritic regions. It also acted as crack initiation site during creep. Low cycle fatigue tests were conducted under fully reversed trapezoidal strain wave at a frequency of 0.25Hz. The depth of the LCF cracks at the surface was comparable to that of the secondary dendrite arms from the surf-ace of the specimen. Cracks initiated at all of the interdendritic regions exposed at the surface, especially at the v-v' eutectic phase. LCF crack initiation and propagation are therefore proposed to be microstructally dependent.
남성화를 보이는 여성에서 발견된 난소의 Steroid Cell Tumor 1예

Steroid cell tumor is a rare ovarian sex cord-stromal tumor which accounts for 0.1% of all ovarian tumors. Until now, only 4 cases have been reported in domestic literatures. Steroid cell tumor often secrets testosterone and presents virilization in adult women or precocious puberty in children. Treatment is often performed by surgical removal, adjuvant chemotherapy and radiation, but completely accepted treatment was not existed. We experienced a case of steroid cell tumor, which was manifested by typical virilization in a 43-year old patient, who was previously performed hysterectomy and unilateral oophorectomy. So, we present with a brief review of the literatures.
농산 폐기물인 Allium속 뿌리를 이용한 Ni와 Pb 이온 제거

농산물의 갈무리시 발생되는 건조한 마늘, 쪽파 및 대파 뿌리 분말을 흡착제로 이용하여 수용액 중 이온 상태로 존재하는 Ni과 Pb의 흡착력을 시료의 입자별, 중금속의 농도별, 용액의 온도별, pH별로 분석하였다. 중금속 이온들은 흡착제의 입자크기가 작을수록 흡착률이 높았고, 그중 마늘뿌리가 Pb에 대해 높은 흡착력을 나타냈다. 수용액중 중금속 농도가 높을수록 중금속들이 흡착되는 양이 증가하였고, 흡착률은 흡착제와 중금속의 종류에 따라 차이가 있었다. 온도의 증가는 쪽파와 대파에서 Ni과 Pb가 감소되었다. 알칼리 조건에서 비교적 흡착이 잘 되는 중금속은 Ni이며, 중성과 산성조건에서는 Pb의 흡착량이 높았다. A batch experiment was conducted to evaluate the removal capacity of welsh onion(Allium fistulosum L.), shallot(Allium ascalonicum L.), garlic(Allium sativum L.) roots as an adsorbent for Ni and Pb in aqueous solution. One gram of the dried Allium root powder was reacted in 100ml of solution containing 10㎎ of each heavy metal and effects of metal concentration, pH, temperature, and size of adsorbent on the removal efficiency were evaluated. The results were as follows : The amount of adsorption of heavy metal ions were higher with the smaller particles size of adsorbent. Garlic root was high adsorption capacity of Pb, especially. The higher concentration of heavy metal solution was, the more amount of adsorption of heavy metals was. The adsorption ratio was differed from a kind of heavy metal. As the temperature increased, the amount of adsorption of Ni and Pb by shallot and welsh onion were decreased. The amount of adsorption of Ni was high under alkali conditions but the amount of adsorption of Pb was high under neutral and acidity condition.
초내열합금 CM247LC의 미세조직 및 인장 특성에 미치는 진동 및 접종처리의 영향

Effects of vibration(V) and inoculation(I) during casting on the microstructure and tensile properties of nickel-base superalloy CM247LC were investigated. The vibration treatment with a frequency of 10 ㎐ was effective to refine the grain size and decrease the microporosity level to some extent. The vibration treatment for the inoculated mold developed the grains of the casting into fine equiaxed grains compared with columnar grains of the casting with vibration free inoculated mold. The existing phases of CM247LC alloy such as finely dispersed cuboidal γ', MC, and grain boundary precipitates were not influenced by the vibration and/or inoculation treatment. The fine equiaxed grained CM247LC had excellent tensile properties compared with those of the columnar grains. The tensile behavior of CM247LC alloy at 760℃ showed different aspects with respect to the grain size change and which was carefully analyzed by fractographic investigations.
대학생 내담자를 대상으로 한 정신역동적 상담에서 상담경과에 따른 꿈의 내용 변화 분석

The purpose of this study was to find the dream transformation in accordance with the progression of psycho-dynamic counselling and the differences of the dream transformation as the counselor's experience level. Materials of study were 49 dreams in the protocols of 4 cases. Two cases were conducted by an expert in psycho-dynamic counselling, others by two primers. The dreams were scored using the Functional scoring system. The counselling course was divided into 6 periods per 5 sessions. The results of the study were as follows. Average of dreamer activity, dream clarity and dreamer expression scores gradually rose across the counselling processes. The feeling intensity scores were more than 'moderate' except the fourth period in the expert's cases. The origin of feeling and the dream setting shown a preponderance of present and mixed dreams. The percentage of dreams in which the dream appears younger than he is in waking life consistently increased whereas that of 'same age' dreams decreased. The porportion of dream characters showed minimal changes; they were mostly dreams with 'both and known' and 'known' characters. In the overall rating, the percentage of 'real' and 'symbolic to real' was more than the 'symbolic' dream across the time. The change patterns were similar in counselor's experience level with the exception the feeling intensity, origin of feeling, dream setting and overall rating. From these results, it was found that dream transformation with regularity occurs as psycho-dynamic counselling progresses and identified the possibility of manifest dream as an indicator of its clinical progress.
초내열합금 B1900의 미세조직과 인장특성에 미치는 고온노출의 영향

Influence of thermal exposure on microstructural evolution and tensile properties of Ni-base superalloy B1900 has been investigated. Phase transformations during thermal exposure and their effects on tensile behavior of the alloy have been analyzed by microstructural observations. Considerable amount of acicular type M_(6)C carbide precipitated in the interdendritic regions (including γ/γ' eutectic) and in the vicinity of MC carbide as a result of thermal exposure above 871°C. Thermal exposure also assisted precipitation of small discrete M_(23)C_(6) carbide which is hard to be found in the alloy. Thermal exposure deteriorated tensile properties of the alloy. The effect of M_(6)C precipitation on the tensile properties of the alloy is not clear. However, degradation of tensile properties of the alloy is primarily attributed to the coarsening of y' phase during thermal exposure. While the localized deformation bands were observed in the as-cast tensile specimen due to shearing of γ' particle, dislocation network formed at γ/γ'interface in the thermally exposed tensile specimen.

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a high-intensity polychromatic incoherent light of a determined wavelength spectrum, fluence, and pulse duration. Clinicians can combine these variable factors of IPL for the purpose of selective destruction of target chromophores. Due to these properties, IPL has been widely used for numerous indications including hair removal and treatment of vascular or pigmented lesions. For skilled and experienced clinicians, IPL is a great treatment modality; however it can be a source of serious adverse effects when performed by untrained clinicians. Thus, to promote the proper and safe use of IPL, we summarized the origin, history, basic principles, and clinical application of IPL and discussed qualification factors needed for clinicians who use IPL.
