Centipede Scolopendra subspinipes multilans L. Koch로부터 항균력이 있는 Centipedin의 추출, 정제 및 특성연구

항균력이 있는 화합물인 Centipeding을 지네 Scolopendra subspinipes multilans L. Koch로부터 지용성 유기용매로 추출하였고, silicic acid column과 high S cation exchange chromatography 및 reverse-phase HPLC 등을 사용하여 고순도로 정제하였다. Gram-positive bacteria인 Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538P 및 gram-negative인 Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 8308 균주에 대하여 강한 항균력을 나타내었다. Dragendorff 시약에 의한 발색반응을 시행한 결과 Centipedin의 aromatic ring에는 nitrogen이 없음을 확이하였고 IR, Mass, NMR 분석 등에 의하여 Centipedin의 분자량은 162.1, 화학적 구조는 hydroxyl기와 carbonyl기를 함유하는 -hydroxyisocumarin으로 확인되었다. UV-spectrum 검색결과에 의하면 최대 흡수파장이 243 ㎚임을 확인하였고, melting point는 122℃이었으며, 실온에서 3개월간 방치된 Centipedin이 여전히 항균활성 및 화학적 구조를 유지하여 물리화학적 및 생물학적으로 안정한 화합물임으 알 수 있었다. The compound which has antibiotic activity was extracted and purified from centipede Scolopendra subspinipes multilans L. Koch by diethyl ether, silicic acid column and high S cation exchange chromatography followed by reverse-phase HPLC. This compoung named "Centipedin" showed antibiotic activity aganist microorganisms such as Gram^(+) -bacteria Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538P and Gram^(-) -bacteria Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 8308. Dragendorff test showed that there is no aromatic nitrogen within the Centipedim. The molecular weight of the Centipedin was 162.1 daltons as determined by mass spectrometry. The instrumental analysis of IR and NMR techniques revealed the molecular structure of Centipedim as 8-hydroxyisocoumarin. The UV-spectrum of Centipedin showed maximum absorption at 243 ㎚, and melting point was 122℃. Centipedin was stable at room temperature for three months in appropriate buffers.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of on-the-job experiencing program on the formation of dynamics such as creativity, organizing, and clarity necessary for launching into the society through a cause-and-effect analysis to determine the priority of resources investments and improvements of educational courses. As a result, the selling experience and planned workshop were found to have effect on the creative dynamic that preparatory business starters must secure without fail. This means that e-Fashionn Lab(http://www.bc2d.com) which is an experiencing program, is fully accomplishing its initial objective set up at the time of the system design. In addition, the selling experience and the mini-home page experience were found to have effect on the formation of organizing dynamic of preparatory business starters. This shows that the system design to realize the database of personal friendships and personal information is being used fully as an educational practice instruments. Lastly, the selling experience and planned workshops were found to have effect on the formation of clarity dynamic of preparatory business starters as experiencing characteristic has effect on creativity. However, the community (work room) experience was found to have no effect on the formation of dynamics necessary for preparatory business starters to advance into the society at this study. This signifies that the system input resources should be pushed back in priority and that curriculums and system design should be concentrated on strengthening the selling experience and planned workshop in general.

Papillary microcarcinoma in comparison with larger papillary thyroid carcinoma in BRAF^V600E mutation, clinicopathological features, and immunohistochemical findings

<B>Background.</B><P>Papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PMC; ≤1 cm) is thought to take a benign course during the lifetime. However, recent studies showed high recurrence rates for PMC.</P><B>Methods.</B><P>We analyzed the clinicopathological features, long-term prognosis, and some molecular characteristics including BRAF<SUP>V600E</SUP> mutation by retrospectively reviewing the records of 1150 patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), 278 with PMC, and 868 with PTC >1 cm.</P><B>Results.</B><P>The prevalence of extrathyroidal invasion (52.2%) and initial nodal metastasis (34.9%) in patients with PMC was surprisingly high and almost as high as that for patients with PTC (72.4% and 51.8%, respectively). The rate of recurrent or persistent disease did not differ between patients with PMC and PTC (recurrent or persistent disease, 6.1% vs 14.1%; 53.4- vs 84.2-month follow-up; n = 98 vs 647; corrected p = .112). The frequency of BRAF<SUP>V600E</SUP> mutation was similar in patients with PMC and PTC (65.6% vs 67.2%). Immunohistochemical staining showed no different expression pattern according to the tumor size.</P><B>Conclusion.</B><P>These results suggest that PMC is not an occult cancer and it can act like larger PTC. <P>Damage to the left occipital lobe and the splenium or forceps major is often associated with pure alexia, thought to be an occipital-temporoparietal disconnection syndrome. A patient with the parallel lesion, a combined right occipital and splenial lesion, showed severe left-sided visual spatial neglect, but no significant neglect in other sensory modalities. This visual neglect might be related to a disconnection between the visual information processed by the left occipital lobe and the right posterior temporal-inferior parietal areas that mediate attention in the left hemispace.</P>

99mTechnetium-가열처리 적혈구에 의한 비장스캔

(99m)^Technetium-Heat damaged erythrocyte were used as spleen scanning agents in 12 patients from July, 1985 to April, 1986. We used this scan to evaluate situs inversus, asplenia, accessory spleen, hypersplenism, splenic infarction, tumor staging and evaluation of therapy, especially when the Tc-99m-tin colloid scans were not definite for diagnosis. The techniques applied to these scans were in vivo/in vitro-labeling method and heating-method to damage the erythrocytes. Liver-to-spleen uptake ratios were increased upto 100:1 and interference from the left lobe of the liver was eliminated. These scans were helpful to evaluate the spleen.

Among noninvasive approaches for the evaluation of left ventricular performance, radionuclide ventriculography (RVG) has been shown to be of particular values. Phase analysis, recently introduced as more objective means for evaluating the temporal sequence of systolic ventricular wall motion than cine image of RVG comprises a pixel by pixel Fourier transformation of the time activity r.urve of a multipie gated acquisition equilibrium blood pool study, To examine the regional wall motion of ventricle in myocardial infarctions, we evaluated the phase image and histogram constructed for each ventricle by total phase angle range and fulf width of half rnaximum (FWHM), This study consisted of 7 normal subjects and 23 subjects with acute rnyocardial infarction. Contrast ventriculography and coronary angiography was performed in all partients with myncardial infarction. And we compared the result of phase analysis with cine image of RVG and examined the interrelationship between phase analysis and contrast ventriculography with coronary angiography. The results were as follow; 1) The total phase angle range and FWHM of LVphase histogram in myocardial infarction (86' and 32, respectively) were wider than those in normal control (38 and 18, respectively p$lt;0.01). 2) RV phase angle range and FWHM in patients with right coronary artery (RCA) occlusion (79 and 37, respectively) were wider than those in normal control (39' and 18, respectively p$lt; 0.001) and the patients without RCA occlusion (,52 and 19, respectively p$lt;0.01). 3) Phase analysis was more sensitive (95%) than cine image of RVG (70%) for the detection of regional wall motion abnormality of LV.

관상동맥질환에서 심장풀스캔을 이용한 최고수축기혈압 - 수축기말용적곡선의 분석

For measurement of ventricular performance, ejection fraction (EF) has gained wide acceptance. But EF is influenced not only by changes in muscle function but also by changes in cardiac loading conditions. In case of valvular geart disease which is variable in loading conditions, EF cannot be reliable as an index of myocardial contractility. The end systolic pressure (ESP)-end systolic volume (ESV) relation, howver, is known to represent myocardial contractility, independent of changes in loading conditions. Similar results can be obtained by using peak-systolic presure (PSP) instead of ESP. To evaluate the utility of the peak systolic pressure-end systolic volume index (PSP-ESVI) relation as an index of myocardial function, we measured PSP & ESVI in 19 partents with coronary artery disease before (PSP& ESVI) and after (PSP & ESVI) sublingeal administration of nitroglycerin, PSP was measured with standard mercury sphygmomanometer during gated blood pool scintigraphic study. ESVI was measured by count derived method after attenuation correction. PSP & ESVI measurement was started when the fall of PSP was greater than 5 mmHg after 7-14 minutes post-administration of nitroglycerin. Mean values (±S.D.) of PSP & ESVI was 124.9(±20.7) mmHg 59.4(±39.9) ml/M². Mean values (±S.D) of PSP & ESVI was 113.2(±19.9)mmHg & 37.5(±26.1)ml/M². There was a significant difference between mean values of PSP & PSP (p$lt;0.01), and mean values of ESVI & ESVI (p$lt;0.01)PSP-PSP/ESVI-ESVI, PSP/ESVI and EF were in the range of 0.14-5.19 mmHg/ml/M², 0.67-7.68 mmHg/ml/M² and 10.8%-74.5% respectively. PSP-PSP/ESVI-ESVI and EF showed exponetial correlation (r=0.85, P$lt;0.01). The correlation coefficient between PSP/ESVI and EF was 0.73(p$lt;0.01). With the above results, we suggest that PSP₁-PSP₂/ESVI₁-ESVI₂ and PSP₁/ESV1 can be usde as an index of myocardial function.
