In this paper, a new automatic parking approach that uses a surveillance camera is suggested. Many parking lots have surveillance cameras. Vehicle position, attitude, and parking space detection methods using a based on CCTV environment are introduced. An entire auto parking system is realized using a small experimental vehicle. Existing auto parking systems are primarily ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) that use extra sensors such as external cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and so on. The authors suggest an automatic parking system that does not impose an economic burden on drivers. Instead, drivers can use an automatic parking system based on CCTV environment, a central process computer, and a communication method between the computer and the driver’s car.
Recent Trends in Western European Income Convergence

In the postwar era, economic interaction and integration among Western European countries has grown rapidly. We examine whether those close and growing linkages have led to inter-country income convergence in Western Europe during 1960-2000. We find clear empirical evidence of convergence. This provides strong support for the notion that Western Europe constitutes a convergence club.
The Prospects for Further Economic Integration in ASEAN

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 1997, has enjoyed remarkable success as a forum for political coperation among the states of Southeast Asia. The challenge for ASEAN now is to replicate its political success in the sphere of economic cooperation, where it has had much less success up to now. The main goal of our paper is to investigate the likelihood that ASEAN can, in fact, become an engine of greater economic integration among the countries of Southeast Asia. In particular, we explore the future prospects for AFTA, the regional free trade area. (JEL Classification: F15, F14, F02)

Due to rapid increase of international trade, many invasive and exotic pests have been introduced in Korea. One of typical example is Solenopsis invicta found in harbor and nearby areas unexpectedly triggering alerts of invasive and exotic pests. Practically, critical limitation to identify these species based on morphology exists because of lack of experts, so that it is very important to develop fast and accurate methods to identify these species. Molecular marker is one of candidates for satisfying these requirements of invasive and exotic pests: usually COI gene has been used for identifying insect species efficiently. Here, we developed web-based integrated platform for identifying invasive and exotic pests. As a first step, we collected 71,146 COI sequences from 529 species which are potentially invasive and exotic pests in Korea. In addition, we are collecting their complete mitochondrial genome sequences for evaluating additional marker regions which can be more effective for identifying species. Web-based interfaces are under development to access these raw data as well as bioinformatic analysis function to identify species based on mitochondrial sequences. Our platform will be a fundamental resources not only to identify invasive and exotic pests effectively but also to understand ecology of these species to find anticipative policies to prevent invasion of these species.

Objective: The aim of this paper is to classify and characterize the existing physical stress evaluation methods related to the ergonomics analyses of computer input devices. Background: Over the past few decades, the field of computer input device design has gone through rapid advances and various physical stress evaluation methods have been developed. However, an established classification of the existing physical stress evaluation techniques does not seem available at this point. A systematic review of the advances during the past three decades and a classification of the physical stress evaluation methods based on it would help researchers to better plan and perform physical stress evaluation for different input devices to be developed. Method: We collected and examined the studies that are related to the ergonomic design and evaluation of input devices such as keyboard, mouse, joystick, trackball, touchscreen, etc. The collected studies were reviewed with a focus on the methodology used for physical stress evaluation and different physical stress evaluation methods were identified. Then, the physical stress evaluation methods were sorted into categories according to similarities and each category was characterized in terms of purpose, strengths and limitations. Application: This paper will help researchers and practitioners understand the existing physical stress evaluation methods and thereby better plan and perform studies for physical stress evaluation of input devices.
