청소년이 지각한 사회적지지 체계와 학급응집력 및 학교적응과의 관계

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Adolescence is the time when youths have a lot of stress and difficulties in adaptation. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among perceived social support systems, class cohesiveness, and school adaptation in middle school students. The subjects of this study were 518 middle school students in ‘U’ city. The study used questionnaires of social support systems, class cohesiveness, and school adaptation. The results were analyzed with exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. The statistical level of significance was set at p＜0.05 by using SPSS 18.0 for Windows. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, classmates, friends, and teachers of social support system had a positive effect on class cohesiveness. Secondly, teachers and parents of social support system had a positive effect on the class participation in school adaptation. Teachers and classmates of social support systems had a positive effect on school life satisfaction in school adaptation. Friends of social support systems had a positive effect on academic achievement in school adaptation. Furthermore, friends of social support systems have a positive effect on problematic behaviors in school adaptation, while classmates had a negative effect. Thirdly, school cohesiveness had a positive effect on class participation, school life satisfaction, and academic achievement respectively. We conclude that social support systems, such as parents, teachers, classmates, friends, and school cohesion have an important role to play to improve the school adjustment of adolescence by the results of this study.
