      • A Case Study on the Costume Culture of the Head Family for Adolescent's Spot Experience Learning

        The purpose of this study was to examine the cases of the head family's costume culture and to apply them to field experience education of adolescent's home economics subject. To examine costume culture, women in the two head families in the Hampyeong area, Jeollanam-do were interviewed. The findings had unique shroud making and custom in the Mo's head family of Hampyeong. Also it was found that the eldest daughters-in-law of the Lee's of Hampyeong have horizontally exchanged the information of the head family's costume with village women of the same family. They have initiated their costume culture directly through their daughters and it had the great influence on after-ages. The Spot experience program for adolescent to experience the head family's costume culture and life culture consisted of four subjects:(1)Educating the head family's traditional living culture including etiquette training, (2)head family village walk, (3)experiencing the head family's clothes life including natural dyeing and sewing, and (4)a field trip of Hampyeong Local Life Culture Museum. For a model experience of the head family's costume and life culture, three families with middle and high schoolers participated in 8-hour experience learning program.

        Pepetide-Integrase fusion protein containing 17 additional amino acids at the amino terminal of bacteriophage Lambda Integrase was used for in vitro recombination assay and was found to have full recombination activity just as wild type Integrase. This result suggests the possibility that Integrase recombination system can be used to develop a novel peptide library system in which random peptides are displayed by DNA bound Integrase.

        가사·실업계열 특성화 고등학교의 체제 개편 모델 : 전라남도를 중심으로

        This study was to propose a basic model of specialization in home economics for vacational high school development in JellaNamdo. The results were summarized as follows. First, based on the changes in economic environment into service industry and national educational policy and local vocational educational policy, it may be good time to socially discuss special vocational high school in home economics in JellaNamdo in the light of meeting local students' demand. Secondly, considering local students' preference and the conditions of local economy and industry. Thirdly, the system for specialization in home economics of vacational high school may be suggested. The basic model was organized plans of system reformation by stages, a substantial plans, and academic or employment course development. System reformation plans was that the high school-concentrated district should be first selected by area and department and one high school should be selected as special high school in home economics. Them specific method should proceed: school name, the measure to recruit students, specific method for reorganizing department, and curriculum. Finally, the annual plan to establish new department and to recruit students should be prepared. Substantial plans were to actually forward such methods to reorganize system and to enhance the quality of vocational high school education, the method for making substantial should be studied further. It may include: the methods to ensure special teachers, training room, and facilities, the prospect and direction of career development, employment, or initiation, special research, and the application to educational environment. Employment courses were developed SOHO establishment in small capital and special store management. And academic courses was to enter a collage or university in conjunction with major departments.

        청소년의 종가 생활문화 현장학습프로그램 개발을 위한 종가 복식문화 사례 연구 : 전남 함평 종가를 대상으로

        The purpose of this study was to examine the cases of the family head's costume culture and to apply them to field experience education of adolescent's home economics subject. To examine the family head's costume culture, women in the family head in the Hampyeong area, Jeollanam-do were selected and interviewed. The focus of examining the family head's costume culture was on the life story of the family head, the reason to wear or possess such costume, and a motive of making. The findings of the head family's costume culture suggests that the head family of the Mos of Hampyeong had unique shroud making and custom. The learning program for youth to experience the head family's costume culture consisted of four subjects:(1)Educating the family head's traditional living culture including etiquette training, (2)head family village walk, (3)experiencing the family head's clothes life including natural dyeing and sewing, and (4)a field trip of Hampyeong Local Life Culture Museum. For a model experience of the family head's costume life culture, three families with middle and high schoolers participated in 8- hour experience teaming program. To examine the effect of learning program to experience the family head's costume culture, youth and their parents who participated in the program were asked open-ended questions, which included the content validity of experience learning, impressive experience, model experience level(difficulty), and expected effect after a model experience. As a result, their responses were found positive.

      • 수도권 일부 프랑스 레스토랑의 운영 실태 조사

        This study is to find the revitalizing method from a survey of overall operation and characteristics of French restaurant in Seoul and Kyeonggido. Sixty-men and women of 20s took part from appointed 60 restaurants in Seoul and Kyeonggido. The statistical analysis conducts by SPSSWIN 12.0 program and the significance level is p<.05, p<.Ol, p<.OO1. The result of operation status of French restaurant is as below. Form of start-up company is popular and the period ofoperation is within 2-5 years. Mostly, restaurant is operated personally. Most of restaurants are located in residential street and apartment complex. 50-100 are most popular in weekdays and weekend customers are more than 100 people in average. So it shows meaningful differences. Most of restaurants carry on business more than 30 days without holidays and open at noon and evening in a day. Monthly rent is popular for form of possession and owners give a weight of passion and interest for applicant when hiring employees and regard management expenses as most important labor cost. Many restaurant get food staff from appointed supplier by competition. Purchase ratio of food staff compared with sales is 25%-30% mostly. 41.7% of people said the future prospect of restaurant is just ''Normal''. Most important thing of menu composition is structure and composition, particularly representative menu and gustatory quality respectively. The important thing is "Taste", sanitation, facilities, menu development, education of employee, price and etc respectively for operation of French restaurant. Sales promotions to attract more customers and relationship with around store are analyzed as less important things. The biggest difficulty is the speedy rising of prime cost for operation of frenches and restaurant, manpower shortage, decreasing customer in this sequence. The difficult for increase offoreign food service and customer complain, decrease of customers is not a big problem in operation of restaurant. This study shows differences from other studies by grasping characteristics of restaurant unlike consideration of simple French dishes and also it is incalculable value to know the overall particulars, importance and difficulties by detailed survey.

        Prediction of thrapeutic response to radioiodine in Graves' disease is poorly understood. Although thyrotropin binding inhibitor immunoglobulin(TBII) level is a strong index for relapse after antithyroid drug medication, conflicting results are reported regarding its prognostic significance in Graves' disease treated with RAI. This study is dengned to evaluate possible relationship between post-treatment hypothyroidism and TBII in Graves' disease treated with RAI. Fourty two patient with Graves' disease after radioiodine treatment were studied retrospectively. The subject were divided into hypothyroid group and euthyroid or hyperthyroid group. We evaluated the association of hypothyroidism and TBII with radioiodine treatment dose. The mean age of hypothyroid group was 48±11 years and euthyroid or hyperthyroid group was 47±12 years. There was no difference in two groups. And there was no significant difference in post- treatment TBII between two groups(49.9±28.5%, 29.9±14.3%, p-value >0.05). The treatment-dose had no influence on post-treatment thyroid state. Euthyroid or hyperthyroid group was done with 13.6±6.9mCi and hypothyroid group was 17.0±10.4mCi(p-value > 0.05). TBII had no prognostic significance on long-term hypothyrodism in Graves' disease treated with radioiodine. And, treatment-dose had no influence on post-treatment thyroid state.

      • Chitosan/oleamide Nanofluid for Enhancing Gas Utilization Efficiency in C1-gas Bioconversion

        Microbial biotransformation using C1-gases (CH₄, CO) is a notable technique for sustainable, carbon-neutral chemical and fuel production. However, the low mass transfer coefficient (KLa) of C1-gases in biological processes has hampered the efficient production of value-added materials, despite efficient, nonnative strains having been recently developed. Here, we constructed a nanofluid material mainly composed of chitosan and oleamide (CS/OA), which was stably suspended with a particle size of 120.7 ± 39.0 ㎚ in aqueous culture media below pH 7.5. The kLa value was enhanced more than 1.5-fold with a reduction of surface tension even in the 0.0001 % (w/v) CS/OA nanofluid. In addition, when the nanofluid was applied into media for seed-cultivation of three C1-gas utilizing strains such as Methylomonas sp. DH-1, M. trichosporium OB3b, and Thermococcus onnurineus NA1 156T, the CS/OA nanoparticles attached to the cell surface, leading to a morphological change in the cell surface at extended lag-phase, and enhanced the specific cell growth rates (μmax), gas utilization efficiency in log-phase. Remarkably, the adapted strains from the seed culture using the CS/OA nanofluid media also had enhanced μmax in a subsequent subculture and the main culture using conventional culture media, resulting in higher C1 gas consumption, cell growth, and metabolite production such as formate and succinate.       • Production of an enzyme for treatment of Gaucher's disease using plants

        Gaucher's disease is a metabolic disorder in which a functional deficiency of an enzyme occurs due to a mutation in the gene encoding glucocerebrosidase (GC), resulting in multiple organ malfunctions. Gaucher's disease is being treated with enzyme replacement therapy, which compensates for the enzyme deficiency by administering activated GCs produced in mammalian cells. However, there is a potential of contamination by pathogenic viruses or prions in the mammalian cell-based manufacturing method, as well as a high production cost. In this study, GCs were expressed in plants that produce customized N-glycans to overcome the limitations of the mammalian cell-based production system and to produce a safe treatment drug for Gaucher's disease. A human cDNA library was used to clone a region expressing a GC gene, and sequence analysis was performed. In addition, a binary vector was created and introduced into plants using Agrobacterium to insert the sequence-confirmed GC gene. Plants into which the GC gene was introduced were selected using an antibiotic-containing media, and the presence or absence of the GC gene introduction into the transformed plants was confirmed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Furthermore, proteins were collected from the plant leaves into which the gene was inserted, and GC expression levels in the transformed plants were measured using a GC antibody. Finally, a single cloned plant was selected through the antibiotic-resistant isolate ratio. These findings suggest that employing plants, it is possible to overcome the disadvantages of the present mammalian cell-based manufacturing method, decreasing the production cost of pricey Gaucher's disease therapy, and effectively generating safer enzyme treatment.

        병원 유형 및 지역에 따른 임상영양서비스에 대한 간호사의 인식

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate nurses` perception of clinical nutrition services. A cross-sectional survey design was performed. The research was accomplished by using questionnaires developed for this study and administered from September 12 to December 31, 2013 to 343 nurses at 43 tertiary hospitals and 20general hospitals. The percentage of nurses who recognized clinical nutrition certificate as issued from nation was 27.8%. The mean scores of perceived usefulness on clinical nutrition services was 4.23/5.00, whereas that of perceived implementation was 3.76/5.00. The mean scores of necessity of disease-specialized clinical dietitian at capital hospitals were significantly higher for obesity (P<0.01), cancer (P<0.05), and infant & childhood disease (P<0.01) than at local hospitals. The rates of nurses` experience in group education on cancerat capital hospitals (21.7%) was significantly higher than that at local hospitals (10.3%) (P<0.05). The means cores of perceived importance of clinical nutrition services were 4.46/5.00 for ‘group nutrition education’, 4.46/5.00 for ‘individual consultation’, and 4.40/5.00 for ‘nutrition management for enteral nutrition (EN) patients’. The most common reason why clinical nutrition services are important was ‘improving mal nutritional status’. To activate clinical nutrition services especially at local hospitals, clinical dietitians should give systematic assistance to patients and also institutional supports are needed.
