Influence of Hybrid Ratios on Shape Memory Properties of Basalt/Carbon Fiber Hybrid Composites with Graphene Oxide Prepared by VIHPS

        Yi Xu,Yuqin Ma,Yu Yang,Gangfeng Wang,Wei Xu,Fei Li,Haiyin Guo,Yatao Li 한국섬유공학회 2023 Fibers and polymers Vol.24 No.8

A study on the shape memory properties of 6 layers bi-directional basalt fiber/carbon fiber hybrid composites with graphene oxide (GO) was presented in this paper. The hybrid composites were prepared by the vacuum infiltration hot pressing system (VIHPS). The macroscopic appearance of these composites was desirable, and their microstructure was satisfactory. According to the test results, with the content of basalt fiber decreased, the shape fixation ratio decreased, while the shape recovery ratio and shape recovery force all increased. The basalt fiber composite with 6 layers basalt fiber (B6) had a maximum shape fixation ratio of 94.94%, a minimum shape recovery ratio of 85.52%, and a minimum recovery force of 1.36 N. Compared with B6, the shape fixation ratio of the carbon fiber composite with 6 layers carbon fiber (C6) decreased by 10.43%, which was 84.51%. The shape recovery ratio and shape recovery force were increased by 9.60% and 3.31 times, and their values were 95.12% and 5.86 N, respectively. In addition, according to the temperature-recovery force curves, it was found that the seven groups of composites all reached their maximum shape recovery force when the temperature was about 110 °C. When the temperature was between 50 °C and 80 °C, the recovery force of the composite increased greatly, and then, the recovery force increased slightly. However, when the temperature was above the glass transition temperature (Tg), the recovery force gradually decreased.

Effect of Cu doping on the SCR activity of CeO2 catalyst prepared by citric acid method

        Rui-Tang Guo,Wen-long Zhen,Wei-Guo Pan,Yue Zhou,Jie-nan Hong,Hong-jian Xu,Qiang Jin,Cheng-gang Ding,Shi-yi Guo 한국공업화학회 2014 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.20 No.4

CeO2–CuO catalyst prepared by citric acid method was investigated for selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3. The activity of the CeO2 catalyst was enhanced about 8–27% in the temperature range of 125–225 ℃ at a space velocity of 28,000 h 1 by the addition of Cu. It was found that the state of Cu species had great impact on the SCR performance of CeO2–CuO catalyst. Cu2+ can enhance the low temperature activity of SCR reaction, while CuO would promote NH3 oxidation before SCR reaction at high temperature, which would cause the decrease of its high temperature SCR activity.

Improving the quality of breast ultrasound examination performed by inexperienced ultrasound doctors with synchronous tele-ultrasound: a prospective, parallel controlled trial

        Yi-Kang Sun,Xiao-Long Li,Qiao Wang,Bo-Yang Zhou,An-Qi Zhu,Chuan Qin,Le-Hang Guo,Hui-Xiong Xu 대한초음파의학회 2022 ULTRASONOGRAPHY Vol.41 No.2

Purpose: This prospective study explored the value of synchronous tele-ultrasound (US) to aid doctors inexperienced in US with breast US examinations. Methods: In total, 99 patients were enrolled. Two trainee doctors who were inexperienced in US (trainee A [TA] and trainee B [TB]) and one doctor who was an expert in US completed the US examinations sequentially. TA completed the US examinations independently, while TB was instructed by the expert using synchronous tele-US. Subsequently, the expert performed on-site US examinations in person. Separately, they selected the most clinically significant nodule as the target nodule. Consistency with the expert and image quality were compared between TA and TB to evaluate tele-US. Furthermore, TB and the patients evaluated tele-US through questionnaires. Results: TB demonstrated higher consistency with the expert in terms of target nodule selection than TA (93.3% vs. 63.3%, P<0.001). TB achieved good inter-observer agreement (ICC, >0.75) with the expert on five US features (5/9, 55.6%), while TA only did so for one (1/9, 11.1%) (P=0.046). TB’s image quality was higher than TA’s in gray value, time gain compensation, depth, color Doppler adjustment, and the visibility of key information (P=0.018, P<0.001, P<0.001, P=0.033, and P=0.006, respectively). The comprehensive assessment score was higher for TB than for TA (3.96±0.82 vs. 3.09±0.87, P<0.001). Tele-US was helpful in 69.7% of US examinations and had a training effect in 68.0%. Furthermore, 63.6% of patients accepted tele-US and 60.6% were willing to pay. Conclusion: Tele-US can help doctors inexperienced in US to perform breast US examinations.

      • Association of XPD and XRCC1 Genetic Polymorphisms with Hepatocellular Carcinoma Risk

        Guo, Lian-Yi,Jin, Xu-Peng,Niu, Wei,Li, Xiao-Fei,Liu, Bao-Hai,Wang, Yu-Lin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.9

Aim: XRCC1 and XPD are two major repair genes involved in nucleotide excision repair (NER), which is reported to be associated with risk of several cancers. We explored the association of XRCC1 and XPD polymorphisms with the risk of HCC. Methods: A total of 410 cases with HCC and 410 health controls were collected. XRCC1 Arg194Trp, XRCC1 Arg399Gln, XPD Lys751Gln and XPD Asp312Asn genotyping was performed by duplex polymerase-chain-reaction with the confronting-two-pair primer (PCR-CTPP) method. Results: XRCC1 194Trp/Trp was strongly significantly associated with an increased risk of HCC cancer when compared with the wide-type genotype (OR=2.26, 95% CI=(1.23-5.38). Individuals carrying the XRCC1 399Gln/Gln showed increased risk of HCC (OR=1.74, 95%CI=1.06-2.74). The XPD 751Gln/Gln and Gln allele genotype were associated with strong elevated susceptibility to HCC (OR=3.51 and 1.42, respectively). Conclusion: These results suggest that polymorphisms in XRCC1 and XPD may have functional significance in risk of HCC.

      • Acute Normovolemic Hemodilution Effects on Perioperative Coagulation in Elderly Patients Undergoing Hepatic Carcinectomy

Guo, Jian-Rong,Jin, Xiao-Ju,Yu, Jun,Xu, Feng,Zhang, Yi-Wei,Shen, Hua-Chun,Shao, Yi Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.8

Background: Acute normovolemic hemodilution (ANH) has been widely used to prevent the massive blood loss during hepatic carcinoma. The influences of ANH on coagulation function are still controversy, especially in elderly patients. The study observed ANH effects on coagulation function and fibrinolysis in elderly patients undergoing the disease. Materials and Methods: Thirty elderly patients (aged 60-70 yr) with liver cancer (ASA I or II) taken hepatic carcinectomy from February 2007 to February 2008 were randomly divided into ANH group (n=15) and control group (n=15). After tracheal intubation, patients in ANH group and control group were infused with 6% hydroxyethyl starch (130/0.4) and Ringer's solution, respectively. Blood samples were drawn from patients in both groups at five different time points: before anesthesia induction (T1), 30 min after ANH (T2), 1 h after start of operation (T3), immediately after operation (T4), and 24 h after operation (T5). Then coagulation function, soluble fibrin monomer complex (SFMC), prothrombin fragment (F1+2), and platelet membrane glycoprotein (CD62P and activated GP IIb/GP IIIa) were measured. Results: The perioperative blood loss and allogeneic blood transfusion were recorded during the surgery. The perioperative blood loss was not significantly different between two groups (p>0.05), but the volume of allogeneic blood transfusion in ANH group was significantly less than in control group ($350.0{\pm}70.7$) mL vs. ($457.0{\pm}181.3$) mL (p<0.01). Compared with the data of T1, the prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) measured after T3 were significantly longer (p<0.05) in both groups, but within normal range. There were no significant changes of thrombin time (TT) and D-dimer between two groups at different time points (p>0.05). SFMC and F1+2 increased in both groups, but were not statistically significant. PAC-1-positive cells and CD62P expressions in patients of ANH group were significantly lower than those at T1 (p<0.05) and T2-T5 (p>0.05). Conclusions: ANH has no obvious impact on fibrinolysis and coagulation function in elderly patients undergoing resection of liver cancer. The study suggested that ANH is safe to use in elderly patients and it could reduce allogeneic blood transfusion.

Fault Detection of Induction Motor Based on ALO Optimized TKSVDD

        Yi Lingzhi,Xu Xiu,Zhao Jian,Duan Renzhe,Guo You,Sun Tao 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.1

Failure of asynchronous motor will cause motor short circuit accident, personal electric shock and other hazards, so it is very important to detect its abnormalities during its operation. In order to solve the problems of low detection accuracy and inaccurate detection results in asynchronous motor detection, a fault detection method of asynchronous motor based on ant lion optimizer optimizes three kernel support vector data description (ALO-TKSVDD) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, for the current signal of asynchronous motor, stochastic resonance is used to improve the signal-to-noise ratio; Secondly, ant lion optimizer (ALO) is used to optimize the three kernel support vector data description (TKSVDD) to detect abnormal data of the target signal; Finally, the accuracy and feasibility of ALO-TKSVDD are verifi ed. Comparative experiments show that the asynchronous motor anomaly detection method proposed in this paper has the highest accuracy and the lowest false detection rate.

      • Low Expression of the FoxO4 Gene may Contribute to the Phenomenon of EMT in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

        Xu, Ming-Ming,Mao, Guo-Xin,Liu, Jian,Li, Jian-Chao,Huang, Hua,Liu, Yi-Fei,Liu, Jun-Hua Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.9

Because of its importance in tumor invasion and metastasis, the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) has become a research focus in the field of cancer. Recently, evidence has been presented that FoxO4 might be involved in EMT. Our study aimed to detect the expression of FoxO4, E-cadherin and vimentin in non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLCs). We also investigated clinical features and their correlations with the markers. In our study, FoxO4, E-cadherin and vimentin were assessed by immunohistochemistry in a tissue microarray (TMA) containing 150 cases of NSCLC. In addition, the expression level of FoxO4 protein was determined by Western blotting. The percentages of FoxO4, E-cadherin and vimentin positive expression in NSCLCs were 42.7%, 38.7% and 55.3%, respectively. Immunoreactivity of FoxO4 was low in NSCLC when compared with paired normal lung tissues. There were significant correlations between FoxO4 and TNM stage (P<0.001), histological differentiation (P=0.004) and lymph node metastasis (P<0.001), but no significant links with age (P=0.323), gender (P=0.410), tumor size (P=0.084), smoking status (P=0.721) and histological type (P=0.281). Our study showed that low expression of FoxO4 correlated with decreased expression of E-cadherin and elevated expression of vimentin. Cox regression analysis indicated FoxO4 to be an independent prognostic factor in NSCLC (P=0.046). These data suggested that FoxO4 might inhibit the process of EMT in NSCLC, and might therefore be a target for therapy.

      • Clinical Study of Tumor Angiogenesis and Perfusion Imaging Using Multi-slice Spiral Computed Tomography for Breast Cancer

        Xu, Na,Lei, Zhen,Li, Xiao-Long,Zhang, Jun,Li, Chen,Feng, Guo-Quan,Li, Di-Nuo,Liu, Jing-Yi,Wei, Qiang,Bian, Ting-Ting,Zou, Tian-Yu Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.1

Objectives: To explore the correlation between multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) perfusion parameters and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) as well as matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) in breast cancer. Methods: Forty five breast cancer patients and 16 patients with benign breast tumor, both confirmed by pathology examination, were enrolled. All underwent MSCT perfusion imaging to obtain perfusion maps and data for parameters including blood flow (BF), blood volume (BV) and permeability surface (PS). Cancer patients did not receive treatment prior to surgery. The expression of VEGF and MMP-2 were examined with both immunohistochemistry and Western blotting. Results: The levels of VEGF and MMP-2 by immunohistochemistry were significantly higher in the breast cancer group (P < 0.01) than the benign tumor group. Relative OD values from Western blotting were also higher in cancer cases (P < 0.05). Similarly, the mean MSCT perfusion parameters (BF, BV, PS) were significantly higher in the breast cancer group (P < 0.01), BF and BV positively correlating with VEGF expression (r = 0.878 and 0.809 respectively, P < 0.01); PS and VEGF and MMP-2 expression were also positively correlated (r= 0.860, 0.786 respectively, P < 0.01). Conclusion: There is a correlation between breast cancer MSCT perfusion parameters and VEGF andMMP-2 expression, which might be useful for detection of breast lesions, qualitative diagnosis of breast cancer, and evaluation of breast cancer treatment.

Effect of Li on the microstructure and electrical properties of (K_0.17Na_0.83)NbO_3 lead-free piezoceramics

        Guo-Zhong Zang,Yan Wang,Xiu-Jie Yi,Juan Du,Zhi-Jun Xu 한국물리학회 2011 Current Applied Physics Vol.11 No.2

Lead-free (K_0.17Na_(0.83-x)Li_x)NbO_3 piezoceramics were synthesized by conventional solid state sintering and the effect of Li on the microstructure and electrical properties was investigated. The experimental results show that 4 mol% Li doping facilitates the grain growth and increases the density of the ceramics. The measurement of dielectric properties reveals that the orthorhombic-tetragonal (T_(O-T)) and tetragonalcubic (T_C) phase transition temperatures change linearly with increasing Li content and the sample with x = 0.06 exhibits the highest T_C of 429 ℃ and lowest T_(O-T) of 181 ℃. Because of the wide apart of T_(O-T) from room temperature, no polymorphic phase structures were obtained and the piezoelectric strain coeffi-cient d_33 and piezoelectric coupling constant k_p varied between low values of 57, 61 pC/N and 0.18, 0.24,respectively with less than 6 mol% Li doping.
