Dual-hop Relaying Networks for Short-Packet URLLCs: Performance analysis and Optimization
Nguyen Thi Yen Linh,Ngo Hoang Tu,Pham Ngoc Son,Vo Nguyen Quoc Bao 한국통신학회 2022 Journal of communications and networks Vol.24 No.4
This paper investigates short-packet communications for the dual-hop decode-and-forward relaying system to facilitate ultra-reliable and low-latency communications. In this system, based on the transmit antenna selection and partial relay selection techniques, a selected relay having the highest received signal-to- noise ratio (SNR) serves as a forwarder to support the unavailable direct link between the source and destination, whereas a max- imum ratio combining technique is leveraged at the destination to achieve the highest diversity gain. Approximated expressions of end-to-end (e2e) block error rates (BLERs) are derived over quasi-static Rayleigh fading channels and the finite-blocklength regime. To gain more insights about the performance behavior in the high-SNR regime, we provide the asymptotic analysis with two approaches, from which the qualitative conclusion based on the di- versity order is made. Furthermore, the power allocation and relay location optimization problems are also considered to minimize the asymptotic e2e BLER under the configuration constraints. Our analysis is verified through Monte-Carlo simulations, which yield the system parameters’ impact on the system performance.

<P>Inverse giant magnetoresistance (IGMR) can be observed in multilayers with alternating two ferromagnetic layers F1 and F2 possessing opposite spin scattering asymmetries. We report here the observation of inverse current-in-plane giant magnetoresistance (CIP-IGMR) in Fe1–xCrx/Cu/Co spin-valve systems with varying Cr concentration and FeCr-layer thickness. The highest magnitude of IGMR, –0.45%, has been achieved in the sample doped with 35 at.% Cr. It is shown that the proper substitution of Cr for Fe can alter spin-dependent scattering in the Fe layer, causing the inversion of the bulk spin scattering asymmetry coefficient therefore resulting in CIP-IGMR. The GMR has a dominant contribution to the observed inverse MR, rather than the anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) component. (© 2008 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)</P>

In this work, we investigated the influence of additional compounds of Nd-Cu-Al, Dy-Nb-Al, Dy-Zr-Al and Nb-Cu-Al on coercivity of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets. The additional nanoparticles with size in the range of 40e80 nmwas mixed with the micrometer Nd-Fe-B powder before sintering process. The results show that the coercivity of the sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets can be improved by introducing additional nanoparticles to their grain boundaries. The improvement of the coercivity of the magnets is clearly dependent on composition and fraction of the additional compounds. While the Dy-Nb-Al, Dy-Zr-Al and Nb-Cu-Al compounds degrade the coercivity of the sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets, the Nd-Cu-Al nanoparticles considerably improve this quantity. The coercivity the sintered Nd16.5Fe77B6.5 magnets has been enhanced about 40% by adding 3 wt% of the Dy-free compound of Nd40Cu30Al30.

Drynaria bonii H. Christ is a medicinal plant that has traditionally been used for the treatment of chronic diseases and tuberculosis. However, D. bonii has not yet been cultivated or propagated. In this study, we optimized the conditions for the spore culture of D. bonii to produce sporophytes. First, we evaluated the efects of various factors, such as temperature, light intensity, potting material, and pH, on spore germination and early gametophyte development. Under optimal culture conditions, 95–99% of the spores germinated within 2 weeks of culture. Next, based on these results, we established a culture system for gametophyte development and sporophyte production. Mature gametophytes frst appeared 5 months post-germination (mpg), and at 12 mpg, the rate of production of heart-shaped gametophytes reached 56.6%. Sporophytes at the early frst-leaf stage frst appeared at 6 mpg, and at 12 mpg, the rate of formation of sporophytes reached 15.4%. Interestingly, 6.3% of all gametophytes produced multiple sporophytes. Additionally, 42–62% of the gametophytes also produced multiple secondary gametophytes, indicating a high potential of D. bonii gametophytes to generate new gametophytes and, subsequently, sporophytes. When transferred to new trays or pots, sporophytes grew well and showed 100% survival. Overall, we conclude that this spore culture system can be successfully used for the propagation of D. bonii sporophytes.

The goal of the study is to examine and assess how the factors of logistics service quality provided by logistics service providers influence customer loyalty and satisfaction in Vietnam. This study employs samples of the Kansei technique. The article’s data was gathered through an online survey of 388 distinct Vietnamese customers who used logistics services before and during the Covid-19 outbreak. After the data was obtained, it was evaluated using SmartPLS 3.0’s Cronbach’s Alpha test and structural equation model (SEM). Staff service quality, operational service quality, and technical service quality are the three factors that determine the quality of logistics services in the study. Out of the 10 proposed hypotheses, research findings show that five are acceptable. The Covid-19 Pandemic in Vietnam had a significant impact on all dimensions, but it had no effect on how satisfied customers were with the logistics service providers. Nevertheless, loyalty is considerably influenced by only one factor, which is customer satisfaction, and customer trust moderates the relationship between these two factors. As a consequence of that, several managerial implications have been proposed to help logistics service providers improve their services to attract and keep Vietnamese customers using their service in the long term.

Let 𝓜 be a stable Serre subcategory of the category of R-modules. We introduce the concept of 𝓜-minimax R-modules and investigate the local-global principle for generalized local cohomology modules that concerns to the 𝓜-minimaxness. We also provide the 𝓜-finiteness dimension f𝓜I (M, N) of M, N relative to I which is an extension the finiteness dimension fI (N) of a finitely generated R-module N relative to I.

This paper aims to propose optimal method to assess and cumulate the daily profit for liner shipping to support the shipping lines in making optimal decision with the highest average daily profit. This paper not only explains the actual calculated results align with decision-makers’ behavior from concepts indicated in cumulative prospect theory but also contributes to an easy-to-apply method for liner shipping network predictability in and provides optimal decision-making is helpful for shipping managers for the best effective selection of the most appropriate alternative under uncertainties.
