        Enhanced Global Asymptotic Stabilization Criteria for Delayed Fractional Complex-valued Neural Networks with Parameter Uncertainty

        This paper addresses the global asymptotic stabilization of delayed fractional complex-valued neural networks(FCVNNs) subject to bounded parameter uncertainty. The problem is proposed for two reasons: 1) The availablemethods for uncertain dynamical systems may be too conservative; 2) The existing algebraic conditions willlead to huge computational burden for large-scale FCVNNs. To surmount these difficulties, the delayed FCVNNswith interval parameters are transformed into a tractable form at first. Then, a simple and practical controller–linearstate feedback controller is designed to achieve the global asymptotic stabilization. By constructing different Lyapunovfunctions and utilizing the fractional-order comparison principle and interval matrix method, two sufficientglobal asymptotic stabilization criteria expressed in LMI forms, are established. The obtained results in this paperimprove and extend some previous published results on FCVNNs. Finally, two numerical examples are provided toillustrate the correctness of the theoretical results.

        Theoretical studies on geometrical and electronic structure of electroplex at the NPB/PBD interface in organic light-emitting diodes

        The studies on geometrical and electronic structure of electroplex (NPB+PBD-), which is formed by NPB+and PBD-, were carried out by simulation calculation. The calculation results indicate that the (NPB+PBD-) is formed efficiently when the positions of PBD- and NPB+ are appropriate. The (NPB+PBD-)is energetically favored compared to isolated ions NPB+ and PBD-. So the ionic state NPB+ and PBD- at the interface NPB/PBD inside organic light-emitting diode (OLED) tend to form electroplex. The analysis of geometrical structure data of the (NPB+PBD-) suggests that the electron transfer occurs from the PBD-side to the NPB+ side. The lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) of (NPB+PBD-) is localized on the PBD- side and the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) of (NPB+PBD-) on the NPB+ side. The energy gap of the (NPB+PBD-) is 1.61 eV, which approximately equals to the energy difference of 1.63 eV between the LUMO of PBD and the HOMO of NPB. The emission of electroplex is theoretically intermolecular optical transition from the LUMO of PBD to the HOMO of NPB. Because of little overlap probability between LUMOs of PBD and NPB at the NPB/PBD interface inside OLED, the exciplex of PBD and NPB is not efficiently produced.

        A novel semi-IPN hydrogel: Preparation, swelling properties and adsorption studies of Co (II)

        A range of super-absorbent semi-IPN hydrogels—polyvinyl alcohol/poly (acrylic acid-co-acrylic amide)(PVA-P(AA-co-AM)) were synthesized via free radical polymerization method under ultrasound-assistedcondition. L16 (45) orthogonal experiments were designed to optimize the synthesis conditions and thesuccess was characterized by FTIR, SEM and TGA. Swelling capacities were studied in various pH solutionand saline solution whose results indicated that pH in solution shows an obvious influence on it and thesalt resistance is greater in salt solution of low valence relative to that of high valence. Meanwhile, itsswelling behavior was evaluated in water solution, which revealed that the swelling process conformedto the Schott model and the diffusion type was non-Fickian diffusion. Moreover, the adsorption on cobalt(II) from aqueous solutions was also investigated in the paper. The optimumpH value was found close to4 for the cobalt (II) adsorption and it was discovered that adsorption kinetics and adsorption isothermsfor cobalt (II) were in accordance with the pseudo-second-order model and the Freundlich modelrespectively. Besides, thermodynamic parameters were calculated for the cobalt (II) adsorption and thefindings revealed that the adsorption behavior is spontaneous and endothermic.

        Corrosion trend on Q450 weathering steel deposited with Na2SO4, NaCl under ultraviolet light illumination

        A contrastive study about ultraviolet light (UV) illumination on Na2SO4, NaCl induced Q450 weatheringsteel was qualitatively and quantitatively studied. The corrosion rate was calculated from mass losses andthe order was as following, coupons deposited with Na2SO4 under UV illumination(238.18 lA cm 2) > with NaCl under UV illumination (213.77 lA cm 2) > with NaCl under Dark condition(71.98 lA cm 2) > with Na2SO4 under Dark condition (43.26 lA cm 2). The influence of UV illuminationon metal corrosion followed this sequence: Na2SO4 > NaCl, and which was on account of corrosion productsfilm on metal depositing Na2SO4 with a larger carrier density on metal depositing Na2SO4 with a largercarrier density (9.32 1020 cm 3) and stronger electric conductivity ability than NaCl (8.93 1020cm 3). Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy studies revealed charge transfer resistance Rct value,suggesting that smaller resistances gained on the rusted samples due to UV illumination, and an acceleratedcorrosion effect on rusted sample was also obtained under UV illumination. The improved corrosionperformance by UV illumination was due to corrosion products of semiconductor property andphotovoltaic effect.

      • FSSPCM: Fuzzy Publication of Data for Privacy Preserving

        The rapid development of information technology makes it convenient to release, collect, store and analyze various types of data. At the same time, how to protect the privacy of individual and prevent disclosure of sensitive information during data publication has become a major challenge. K-anonymity method is the most widely used privacy protection model and has been well researched. However, generalization and suppression operations used in K-anonymity methods require high computational effort and cause excessive loss of original information, which will greatly reduce the availability of data after publishing. The paper proposed a transformation algorithm for privacy preserving data publishing based on fuzzy semantic set pair cloud model (FSSPCM). It transforms the sensitive attributes into the form of fuzzy semantic values, and privacy of individual has been maintained because exact values cannot be predicted after data publishing. In order to enhance the availability of data after publishing, semantic distinction (SD) and reserve degree (RD) are designed to reflect relationships between original data and fuzzy semantic information after transformation according to different characteristics of numerical sensitive attributes and categorical sensitive attributes. Experiments and analysis demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method both on numerical and categorical sensitive attributes. Classification performed on original and transformed information proves the proposed method maintains higher clustering similarity after fuzzy transformation, which will provide better availability for data mining and other processing.

        Synthesis of aminated calcium lignosulfonate and its adsorption properties for azo dyes

        A low-cost adsorbent, aminated calcium lignosulfonate (ACLS) was prepared and successfully applied to the adsorption of Congo red and the Titan yellow dyes. The adsorbent was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), elemental mapping images (EMIs) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis. And the efficiency of ACLS for the removal of Congo red and the Titan yellow dyes was evaluated by several factors, such as temperature, pH, adsorbent dose, contact time and initial concentration of dyes solution. And the test ranges of temperature, pH, adsorbent dose, contact time and initial concentration of dye solution were 25–45 °C, 2–12, 0.005–0.05 g, 1–48 h, 10–200 mg L−1, respectively. The adsorption results demonstrated a good ability to remove dye with the removal rates of 97% and 91% for 30 mg L−1 Congo red and 40 mg L−1 Titan yellow, respectively. The adsorption kinetic and adsorption isotherms can be well described by the pseudo second order kinetic and the Langmuir isotherm model for the both dyes, respectively. Moreover, the maximum adsorption capacity of Congo red and Titan yellow reached 258.4 mg g−1 and 190.1 mg g−1 in the study of the Langmuir adsorption isotherm, respectively. Thermodynamic studies show that the adsorption of the two dyes is a spontaneous endothermic process. The results indicate that the ACLS has the potential to be used in the treatment of dye wastewater.

        Acute Myelitis in a Patient with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada Disease: Case Report and Review of the Literature

        Background Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease is characterized by bilateral granulomatous uveitis with neurologic, auditory, and dermatologic manifestations. However, acute myelitis complicating VKH disease has rarely been reported. Case Report A 50-year-old Chinese Han woman presented with difficulty walking, numbness on the left side of the body, and difficulty with urination. The patient was diagnosed with incomplete VKH disease and received corticosteroid treatment prior to the neurological presentation. Acute myelitis was diagnosed based on both clinical and spinal-cord MRI findings. Conclusions Clinicians should consider acute myelitis as a rare possible neurological manifestation in VKH disease patients, and early systemic administration of corticosteroids will suppress the acute inflammatory process and prevent recurrences. This report raises the possibility that VKH disease and acute myelitis share common pathogenic pathways

      • Asymptotically Optimal Scenario-based Multi-objective Optimization for Distributed Generation Allocation and Sizing in Distribution Systems

        Suitable location and optimal sizing are impact on voltage stability margin of the distributed system. It is important to accurately simulate the random output active power of Distributed Generation (DG). In order to model uncertainties of intermittent distributed generation and load, this paper proposes a multi-scenario tree model of wind-photovoltaic-load using multiple scenarios technique based on the Wasserstein distance metrics, which generates asymptotically optimal scenario. And in this paper, a multi-objective optimizes control model with scenario tree is presented, which including objectives that are the total active power losses and the voltage deviations of the bus. Moreover, a new hybrid Honey Bee Mating Optimization and Particle Swarm Optimization (HBMO-PSO) algorithm is proposed to solved the problems. In the HBMO-PSO algorithm, the mating process is corrected, which the PSO algorithm is combined with the HBMO algorithm to improve the performance of HBMO. Finally, a typical IEEE 33-bus distribution test system is used to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. Simulation results illustrate the correctness and adaptability of the proposed model and the improved algorithm.

        A Method for k Nearest Neighbor Query of Line Segment in Obstructed Spaces

        In order to make up the deficiencies of the existing research results which cannot effectively deal with the nearest neighbor query based on the line segments in obstacle space, the k nearest neighbor query method of line segment in obstacle space is proposed and the STA_OLkNN algorithm under the circumstance of static obstacle data set is put forward. The query process is divided into two stages, including the filtering process and refining process. In the filtration process, according to the properties of the line segment Voronoi diagram, the corresponding pruning rules are proposed and the filtering algorithm is presented. In the refining process, according to the relationship of the position between the line segments, the corresponding distance expression method is put forward and the final result is obtained by comparing the distance. Theoretical research and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively deal with the problem of k nearest neighbor query of the line segment in the obstacle environment.

        Numerical Investigation on the Design and Optimization of Stacking Pattern for High Flexural Performance Carbon Fiber Reinforced Resin Matrix Composites

        The stacking sequences of fiber-reinforced composites for optimization of turbine blades with the bestperformance have become a focus of attention. However, the optimization and design principles of its flexural performanceare not yet mature. Referring to the problems in previous work, a 3D finite element flexural model of carbon fiber reinforcedcomposites was established based on the Abaqus/Explicit VUMAT subroutine through the Tsai-Wu failure criterion. Theinfluencing laws and optimization mechanisms of different stacking patterns (e.g., different orientations, number oforientation plies, combination of multiple orientation plies, and symmetry/asymmetry structures) on the flexural properties ofthe composites were systematically investigated, and corresponding design references for the optimization of stackingpatterns were given. The results show that the smaller the value of |θ-45 °| (θ represents the angle of the orientation ply), themore obvious the stress reduction of the orientation ply, and the orientation ply located in the outer layer is more conducive tothe improvement of flexural performance. As the number of orientation plies increases, the flexural strength anddisplacement increase, but the stability decreases, in which the laminate with 50 % 0 ° orientation plies has the best overallperformance. In addition, the stability ranking of the laminate stacking sequences for the same 0 ° orientation ply proportionis: multi-orientation asymmetric > multi-orientation symmetric > single-orientation symmetric. In particular, the [75/02/60/30/02/15] laminate has the best overall performance with the flexural strength of 974 MPa and the Y-axis offset of 0.057 mm,and its stability is 66 % higher than that of the [15/02/75]S laminate. Under the same tensile/compressive stresses, the actualstress of the warp/weft in the orientation ply is less than the maximum ideal stress and the stress of Y-axis direction SY ≠ 0,which delays the fracture of the orientation ply and causes displacement offset, and the increase of the number of orientationplies will aggravate this effect. The obtained highlighted results can provide valuable references for the design andoptimization of stacking patterns of plain fabric-reinforced laminates with high flexural properties.
