Long-term Deflection Test and Theoretical Analysis on Cracked Prestressed Concrete Box Beams
Guo Hui Cao,Sheng Zhang,Wang Zhang,Xi Rong Peng 대한토목학회 2018 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.22 No.2
A long-term deflection test is performed for 470 days on two simply supported prestressed concrete box beams under sustained uniform load. The deflection growth rules of the box beams under both cracked and uncracked states are studied. The measured longterm deflection of the cracked beam is 18.4% larger than that of the uncracked beam, whereas the deflection growth coefficient of the cracked beam is 65.3% that of the uncracked beam. The larger long-term deflection of the cracked beam is mainly attributed to the huge value of the instantaneous deflection caused by the crack. Then, the cracks lead to the release of concrete stress, thereby reducing the creep effect. For the uncracked beam, the influences of concrete shrinkage, creep, and prestress loss on the long-term mechanical behavior of components are considered, and then deflection is predicted using the blended method based on the ageadjusted modulus method, the prestressed equivalent load method, and the calculation method for prestress loss. Results show that the theoretical and measured values are in good agreement. For the cracked beam, the crack influence coefficient is introduced to revise its effective elastic modulus by considering the influence of cracks on the long-term deflection of the cracked beam. Then, a formula for calculating the long-term deflection of cracked beams that considers stiffness reduction for instantaneous deflection correction is proposed. The formula exhibits high precision in calculating and analyzing the long-term deflection of the cracked beam. The deviation between the calculated and measured values is within 10%.

Background: Detection of cervical high grade lesions in patients with atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASCUS) is still a challenge. Our study tested the efficacy of the paired boxed gene 1 (PAX1) methylation analysis by methylation-sensitive high-resolution melting (MS-HRM) in the detection of high grade lesions in ASCUS and compared performance with the hybrid capture 2 (HC2) human papillomavirus (HPV) test. Materials and Methods: A total of 463 consecutive ASCUS women from primary screening were selected. Their cervical scrapings were collected and assessed by PAX1 methylation analysis (MS-HRM) and high-risk HPV-DNA test (HC2). All patients with ASCUS were admitted to colposcopy and cervical biopsies. The Chisquare test was used to test the differences of PAX1 methylation or HPV infection between groups. Results: The specificity, sensitivity, and accuracy for detecting CIN2 + lesions were: 95.6%, 82.4%, and 94.6%, respectively, for the PAX1 MS-HRM test; and 59.7%, 64.7%, and 60.0% for the HC2 HPV test. Conclusions: The PAX1 methylation analysis by MS-HRM demonstrated a better performance than the high-risk HPV-DNA test for the detection of high grade lesions (CIN2 +) in ASCUS cases. This approach could screen out the majority of low grade cases of ASCUS, and thus reduce the referral rate to colposcopy.

Chuan-Hui Shan,Xi-Rong Guo,Jun Ou 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.17 No.10
Recently, Deep learning has made a great deal of success in processing images, audios, and natural languages and so on. The activation function is one of the key factors in Deep learning. In this paper, according to characteristics of biological neurons, an improved Leaky Single-Peaked Triangle Linear Unit (LSPTLU) activation function is presented for the right-hand response unbounded of Rectified Linear Unit (ReLU) and Leaky ReLU(LReLU). LSPTLU is more in line with the biological neuron essence and achieves the excellent performance of equivalent or beyond ReLU and LReLU on different datsets, e.g., MNIST, Fashion-MNIST, SVHN, IMAGENET, CALTECH101 and CIFAR10 datasets.
Process of Equiaxed Grains of RE-Al Alloy under Slope Vibration
Xie Shi-kun,Yi Rong-xi,Pan Xiao-liang,Zheng Xiao-qiu,Guo Xiu-yan 한국소성가공학회 2010 기타자료 Vol.2010 No.6
A new technique using slope vibration casting process during heating and isothermal holding period to prepare Al-7Si-2RE alloy has been studied. The small, near-spherical and non-dendritic microstructure with the semi-solid processing requirements has been obtained. Experiments show that the cooling method, pouring process and the convection of melt caused by slope vibration had significant effects on the formation of near-spherical primary gains. The water-cooled copper mold casting with slope vibration at the temperature near liquidus can obtain Al-7Si-2RE alloy with small homogeneous equiaxed grains, the average grain diameter is 48.3μm, and the average grain roundness is 1.92.

Objective: To compare the efficacy of taxane-based regimens in the first line setting retrospectively in Chinese patients with recurrent and/or metastatic esophageal cancer. Methods: We analyzed 102 recurrent and/or metastatic esophageal cancer patients who received taxanes-based regimens in a first-line setting from January 2009 to December 2013. Sixteen (15.7%) patients were administered Nab-PTX based chemotherapy and 86 patients (84.3%) received paclitaxel (PTX) or docetaxel (DTX) based chemotherapy. Patients in the PTX/DTX group could be further divided into TP (71 patients) and TPF (15 patients) groups. Results: The objective response rate (ORR) of all patients was 20.6%, and the disease control rate (DCR) was 67.6%. The median overall survival (OS) was 10.5 months (95% CI 10.1-16.4) and the median progression-free survival (PFS) was 6.04 months (95% CI 5.09-7.91). The DCR was higher in the TPF group than the TP group (93.3% vs. 59.1%; p = 0.015 ). There were no significant differences in ORR, OS, and PFS among Nab-PTX, TPF and TP groups. Conclusions: The three regimens of Nab-PTX based, TP and TPF proved active in a first line setting of Chinese patients with recurrent and/or metastatic esophageal cancer, and should thus be regarded as alternative treatments.

He, Wen-Zhuo,Jiang, Chang,Yin, Chen-Xi,Guo, Gui-Fang,Rong, Ru-Ming,Qiu, Hui-Juan,Chen, Xu-Xian,Zhang, Bei,Xia, Liang-Ping Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.17
Background: We had previously showed that the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR), ${\gamma}$-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) are prognostic factors for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients. In this study we developed a prognostic model based on these three indices. Materials and Methods: A total of 243 patients who were initially diagnosed as mCRC between 2005 and 2010 in the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center were studied. The endpoint was overall survival (OS). Results: NLR>3, elevated GGT and elevated CEA were confirmed as independent risk factors which could predict poor prognosis. Patients could be divided into three groups according to the number of risk factors they had. Those with two or three were defined as the high risk group, individuals with one risk factor as the modest risk group and patients without risk factor as the low risk group. The OS values for these three groups were 16.2 months (2.80~68.8), 24.2 months (4.07~79.0), and 37.2 months (12.6~87.8), respectively (p<0.001). Conclusions: We developed a simple but useful model based on NLR, GGT and CEA to provide prognostic information to clinical practice in highly selected mCRC patients. Further prospective and multi-center studies are warranted to test our model.

Objective: To determine whether T1 mapping could monitor the dynamic changes of injury in myocardial infarction (MI) and be histologically validated. Materials and Methods: In 22 pigs, MI was induced by ligating the left anterior descending artery and they underwent serial cardiovascular magnetic resonance examinations with modified Look-Locker inversion T1 mapping and extracellular volume (ECV) computation in acute (within 24 hours, n = 22), subacute (7 days, n = 13), and chronic (3 months, n = 7) phases of MI. Masson’s trichrome staining was performed for histological ECV calculation. Myocardial native T1 and ECV were obtained by region of interest measurement in infarcted, peri-infarct, and remote myocardium. Results: Native T1 and ECV in peri-infarct myocardium differed from remote myocardium in acute (1181 ± 62 ms vs. 1113 ± 64 ms, p = 0.002; 24 ± 4% vs. 19 ± 4%, p = 0.031) and subacute phases (1264 ± 41 ms vs. 1171 ± 56 ms, p < 0.001; 27 ± 4% vs. 22 ± 2%, p = 0.009) but not in chronic phase (1157 ± 57 ms vs. 1120 ± 54 ms, p = 0.934; 23 ± 2% vs. 20 ± 1%, p = 0.109). From acute to chronic MI, infarcted native T1 peaked in subacute phase (1275 ± 63 ms vs. 1637 ± 123 ms vs. 1471 ± 98 ms, p < 0.001), while ECV progressively increased with time (35 ± 7% vs. 46 ± 6% vs. 52 ± 4%, p < 0.001). Native T1 correlated well with histological findings (R2 = 0.65 to 0.89, all p < 0.001) so did ECV (R2 = 0.73 to 0.94, all p < 0.001). Conclusion: T1 mapping allows the quantitative assessment of injury in MI and the noninvasive monitoring of tissue injury evolution, which correlates well with histological findings.
