Laves상 ZrV_2계 수소저장합금 전극의 Ni 치환에 따른 열역학적 안정성에 관한 연구

Thermodynamic properties of laves phase ZrV_2 were studied in terms of the equilibrium hydrogen pressure. ZrV_2 alloy with high equilibrium hydrogen pressures at room temperature, which is usually difficult to charge, was substituted with Ni partialy. Partial substitution of Ni made not only the equilibrium pressure to be reduced remarkably, but also the enthalpy change depending on the formation of metal hydride to be agreed to the value in gas phase reaction and electrochemical reaction.

Skin whitening products are commercially available for cosmetic purposes in order to obtain a lighter skin appearance. They are also utilized for clinical treatment of pigmentary disorders such as melasma or postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. Whitening agents act at diverse levels of melanin synthesis in the skin. Many of them are known as competitive inhibitors of tyrosinase, the key enzyme in melanogenesis. Others inhibit the transformation of this activated enzyme or the transport of melanosomes from melanocytes to surrounding keratinocytes. To avoid systemic absorption, whitening agent is need to create optimal formulation such as liposome, microemulsion, solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) and NLC (Nanostructure liquid crystal) as well as patch. Functional ingredients and innovative delivery systems are driving the new product development in the field of cosmetics. In this review we present an overview of whitening products that may decrease skin pigmentation by their interference with the pigmentary processes and may formulate cosmetic delivery systems possessing potential as smarter carrier systems.
AHP 기법을 이용한 설계VE를 위한 대상선정 프로세스 모델

This thesis is an analysis and summary of the subject selection for the effective application of VE(Value Engineering) and a study of the subject selection process model. The subject selection process model of this paper can be summarized as follows. In order to induce free decision making, the process requires a establishment of project's analytic items and brainstorming. Prepare for system of process, hierarchy of analytic items and selection of analytic criterions are demanded. For application process model, weight factors and quality models are induced through analytic item and elements. So, the analytic item and the elements are vector analyzed by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). Not only is the subject selection process model good for structural application, it also induces effective turn out of the functions analysis activities.

To clarify the superconducting mechanism of the high Tc oxide superconductors, we have studied the interactions among electrons and elementary excitations and the electronic energy band structure by measuring the thermoelectric power of YBa_2 Cu_3O_7-y with various oxygen deficiencies. We have found that the major charge carriers in YBa_2Cu_3O_7-y are holes, that the width of the electronic energy band is larger than the intial estimation, and that the interaction between electrons and phnonos in the material is not strong enough to explain the high Tc super conductivity, while we have seen an evidence that there exist strong interactions between electrons and magnetic excitations.
Ni 치환에 따른 TiV-based 합금의 수소저장 특성

체심입방구조를 갖는 TiV_1.4합금의 V성분을 Ni금속으로 부분치환하여 얻은 TiV_0.9Ni_0.5 삼원계합금의 미세 구조와 조성변화를 조사하여 얻어진 branch 합금들의 수소저장 특성에 대하여 검토하였다. TiV_0.9Ni_0.5 합금은 BCC결정구조의 TiV_2.1Ni_0.3 고용체와 (FCC+BCC) 혼합결정구조를 갖는 TiV_0.2Ni_0.8의 금속간화합물로 구성된 multi phase합금이고 수소저장량은 H/M=1.69(P_Eq=0.5 Mpa)로 나타났다. TiV_0.9Ni_0.5 합금을 구성하는 주상조성으로 제조한 TiV_2.1Ni_0.3 고용체의 수소저장량은 H/M=1.99(P_Eq=0.5 MPa)로 상당히 많은 양의 수소를 저장하는 것이 확인되었으며, 고용체합금을 포함하지 않는 금속간화합물 TiV_0.2Ni_0.8의 수소저장량은 고용체나 고용체를 포함하는 합금보다 적은 것이 확인되었다. Hydrogen storage properties of branched alloy determined analysis of microstructure and composition variation for TiV_0.9Ni_0.5 alloy with BCC crystal structure obtained partial Ni substituted V of TiV_1.4 alloy was investigated. Multi phase TiV_0.9Ni_0.5 alloy was consisted TiV_2.1Ni_0.3 solid solution with BCC crystal structure and TiV_0.2Ni_0.8 intermetallics with complex (FCC+BCC) crystal structure and stored hydrogen concentration was H/M=1.69(E_Eq=0.5 MPa). Higher hydrogen storage capacity(H/M=1.99) for TiV_2.1Ni_0.3 solid solution prepared main phase composition of TiV_0.9Ni_0.5 alloy was identified and lower hydrogen storage capacity was observed for TiV_0.2Ni_0.8 intermetallics than solid solution or alloy with solid solution phase.

Histiocytic medullary reticulosis (HMR) is a malignant noeplastic process, with tumor cells belonging to the histiomonocytic line, and originally described by Scott and Robb-Smith in 1939 characterized by its acute onset, progression to death within a few months and its clinical features are fever, lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly, jaundice, and purpura common laboratory findings are characterized by severe anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia and histologically by systemic progressive invasion of morphologically atypical histiocytes or of their precursor. 61 and 37-year-old males were admitted with camplaints of high fever and chilling sensation and were treated by cyclophosphamide, vincristine, prednison and antiobiotics, but patients all died 17 and 14 days after admission due to probably sepsis and respiratory failure.

The human papillomavirus E7 protein can form a specific complex with a retinoblastoma tumor suppressor gene product (p105-Rb) that results in the release of the E2F transcription factor, which is critical for the growth-deregulation and transforming properties of the viral E7 oncoprotein. In an attempt to apply interaction between the E7 oncoprotein and a target cellular protein Rb for an in vitro screening system for drugs against human papillomavirus infection, we primarily investigated the E7Rb binding through a pull down assay and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The pull down assay showed that both glutathione S-transferase-tagged E7 and His-tagged E7 immobilized on resins specifically produced complexes with bacterially expressed Rb in a dose-dependent manner, as determined by immunoblot analyses. This result coincided with that of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, which is a useful system for the mass screening of potential drugs. Taken together, this screening system (based on the interaction between E7 and Rb) can be a promising system in the development of drugs against cervical cancers caused by human papillomavirus infection.
