      • 耳性頭蓋內合倂症의 臨床的考察

        Twenty one cases of otitic intracranial complication were observed in the dept, of Otolaryngology, Chonnam University Hospital from 1960 to 1964. In order of their relative frequency of incidence, these complications were: 1) lateral sinus thrombophlebitis 2) meningitis 3) epidural abscess 4) brain abscess 5) subdural abscess Of these twenty one cases, only four cases of lateral sinus thrombophlebitis and two cases of epidural abscess occurred independently without having other complication, while the rest of the cases revealed combination of more than two complications. All of twenty one cases followed after having chronic suppurative otitis media but none of them from acute otitis media. In nineteen cases out of twenty one cases (approximately 90%), cholesteatoma was found in mastoid antrum or attic. In all cases, bony destruction was demonstrated in the lateral sinus plate, tegmen antri or tegmen tympani. Of sixteen cases for which bacterial culture was carried out, eleven eases revealed gram negative bacillus such as proteus, paracolon and escherichia. And the other three cases showed gram positive coccus mixed with gram negative bacillus. Four cases of brain abscess were dead, while the rest of the cases were cured without any sequel.

      • Electrochemical Studies of Co(II) Complexes Containing Tetradentate Schiff-Base Ligands

        A series of tetradentante Schiff-base ligands ; 1,3-bis(salicylideneimino)propane [SALPRH2], 1,4-bis(salicylideneimino)butane [SALBUH2], and 1,5-bis(salicylideneimino)pentane[SALPEH2], and their Co(II) complexes were synthesized. The properties of ligands and Co(II) complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, NMR, and UV-Vis spectra, molar conductance, and thermogravimetric analysis. The mole ratio of Schiff base to cobalt at complexes was found to be 1:1 All complexes were four-coordinated configuration, [Co(II)(L)](L is dianionic ligand) and non-ionic compound. The redox process of the ligands and their Co(II) complexes in DMSO solution containing 0.1 M TEAP as supporting electrolyte was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and differential pulse voltammetry at glassy carbon electrode and by controlled potential coulometry at platinum gauze electrode. The redox process of the ligands was highly irreversible, whereas redox process of Co(II) complexes was observed as one electron transfer process of quasi-reversible and diffusion-controlled reaction. Also the electrochemical redox potentials of the Co(II) complexes were affected by chelate ring size of ligands. The diffusion coefficients of Co(II) complexes in DMSO solution were determined to be 5.7∼8.3 x 10-6 ㎠/sec. Also, the exchange rate constants were determined to be 7.8∼8.7 x 10-2 cm/sec.

        화학교과에서 자아핸디캡경향, 목표지향성, 자기효능감 및 학습전략 사이의 관계분석

        본 연구에서는 학습전략의 동기요인을 탐색하기 위해 각 관계된 변인들 간의 경로모형을 연구모형 I과 연구모형 II의 기본모형으로 설정했고, 이 연구모형의 관점에서 화학교과를 대상으로 체계적이고 정밀한 분 석을 통해 자아핸디캡경향, 목표지향성, 자기효능감 및 학습전략 사이의 관계를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 연구모 형 I과 연구모형 II 중에서 연구모형 II에 대한 내용이 채택되었고 이 모형의 주요 통계적 적합도 지수들을 확 인하면서 경로를 추가했고 3차 수정한 결과, 연구모형 Ⅱ-3이 본 연구의 완전 연구모형으로 채택되었으나 연 구모형 II-3에서 가정된 9개의 이론적 경로 중 자아핸디캡경향에서 학습전략으로 영향을 미치는 경로의 t값이 |-0.400|으로서 .05의 경계값인 |±2.015|보다 적게 나타났다. 이러한 점을 감안해서 자아핸디캡경향에서 학습전 략으로 영향을 미치는 경로를 연결하지 않는 즉, ‘자아핸디캡경향과 목표지향성'이 자기효능감을 매개변인으 로 하여 학습전략으로 향하는 연구모형 II-2가 본 연구의 최적 연구모형으로 결정되었다. The structural equation modeling techniques were used to assess a model of chemistry learning strategy based on self-handicapping tendency and goal orientation. Data were collected during chemistry lessons in two high schools. In the optimal model II-2 of this research, the self-handicapping tendency was negatively related to the use of self-efficacy. The learning goal was positively related to the use of self-efficacy and to learning strategy. The performance- approach goal was positively related to self-efficacy but presented an negative relationship to learning strategy. The performance-avoidance goal was negatively related to self-efficacy but presented an positive relationship to learning strategy. Besides affecting the learning strategy through self-efficacy indirectly, the learning goal, performance-approach goal, and performance-avoidance goal affected learning strategy directly. The self-handicapping tendency and performance- avoidance goal were a negative predictors of self-efficacy, but the learning goal and performance-approach goal were a positive predictors. And the self-efficacy affected learning strategy positively. The implications of these findings for learning strategy in chemistry are discussed. Although the paths model of relationships of the motivations to learn and learning strategies in chemistry education as mentioned above is established, the more systematic search for the higher self-efficacy and learning strategy in different courses and curriculums may be needed.

        The photocatalytic decomposition of methylene blue was investigated using UV-illuminated TiO2 catalysts. The primarily forcuses were to develope the solar reactors for wastewater treatment and improve the photocatalyst activity. The effects of pH, initial concentration of reactant, reactor type, and catalyst on the decomposition rate of the methlyene blue were explored. P-25 TiO2 catalysts resulted in the better performance on the rates of photodecomposition compared to Hombikat TiO2. The initial concentrations of MB were not significantly affected to the rate of photocatalytic decomposition. The decomposition of methylence blue was achieved at reasonably hihg conversion (95%) at pH=5

        화학교육의 목표지향성, 자기효능감, 성취욕구, 지능신념, 자기핸디캡경향 및 학습전략 간의 경로모형 탐색

        본 연구는 화학교육의 동기전략에 영향을 끼치는 학습관련 변인들의 인과관계에 대한 최적 모형을 찾고자 한다. 이를 위하여 광주광역시 소재 G와 I 고등학교에서 화학교육에 참여한 487명을 대상으로 하였다. 동기전략에 영향을 주는 학습관련 변인들의 경로모형을 탐색하기 위해, '자기효능감, 성취욕구, 지능신념'이 목표지향성을 매개로 하여 동기전략인 자기핸디캡경향과 학습전략으로 가는 모형을 Model I로 설정했다. 그리고 목표지향성을 근본 동기변인으로 하고 '자기효능감, 성취욕구, 지능신념'을 매개로 하여 '자기핸디캡경향과 학습전략'에 이르는 모형을 Model II로 설정했다. 이들 기본모형들을 기반으로 하여, 목표지향성(숙달목표, 수행접근목표 및 수행회피목표), 자기효능감, 성취욕구, 지능신념, 자기핸디캡경향 및 학습전략 간에 경로모형을 알기위해 통계분석을 통해 단계적으로 살펴보았다. 그 결과 Model I과 Model II 중에서 Model II가 선택되었고, 이 모형의 주요한 통계적 적합도 지수들을 확인하고 분석하면서 경로의 추가 및 삭제를 했고, 5차 수정한 결과, Model II-5의 경로모형이 본 연구의 최적 모형으로 채택되었다. 이 최적 모형을 분석한 결과, ${\chi}^2$의 p값도 0.267를 보임으로써 Model II-5가 측정자료와 아주 잘 일치한 모형임을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 15개의 경로들이 통계적으로 p <.05에서 유의미하게 학습전략에 영향을 주고 있음을 알 수 있다. This study is to search an optimal model on causal relationships of the motivations to learn and motivation strategy in chemistry education. The participants in this study are consisted of G and I high schools students (487) in Gwangju. They all answered to the questionnaire. Model I is hypothesized to be path model of the mediation between 'self-efficacy, achievement need, and entity theory of intelligence' and 'learning strategy and self-handicapping tendency of motivation strategy' by goal orientation to explore variables of study effecting the motivation strategy. And Model II is hypothesized path model of the mediation between goal orientation and 'learning strategy and self-handicapping tendency' by 'self-efficacy, achievement need, and entity theory' to explore variables of study effecting the motivation strategy. Based on these models, structural equation modeling techniques are used to evaluate for the path model among goal orientation(learning, performance approach, and performance approach goal orientation), self-efficacy, achievement need, entity theory of intelligence, self-handicapping tendency, and learning strategy in chemistry education. As the results, Model II is considered. Goodness-of-fit indexes of this model related modification models are identified and analyzed in phases. And this model is accomplished by correcting the model the fifth time to enhance goodness-of-fit indexes. In this optimal model II-5 (Fig. 3) on causal relationships of the motivations to learn and learning strategy (p<value=0.267), fifteen paths are significant at .05 level statistically (Fig. 3).
