        Lupus anticoagulant-hypoprothrombinemia in healthy adult

        The presence of lupus anticoagulant is associated with an elevated risk of venous and arterial thrombosis, and recurrent miscarriages as well. For some cases, this disease can present with bleeding as a consequence of lupus anticoagulant‐hypoprothrombinemia (LAHPS). LAHPS is a rare disease and it is reported to be most frequent in young females with/without systemic lupus erythematosus or in healthy children who are suffering with a viral infection. In such cases, steroid therapy is usually effective in normalizing the biological abnormalities and controlling the bleeding problems. A 34-year-old previously healthy man was admitted to our department because of his prolonged coagulation times; these abnormalities were discovered before performing orthopedic surgery. The prothrombin time (PT) was 15.2 sec, and the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) was 37.7 sec. A 1:1 dilution of patient plasma with normal plasma nearly corrected the PT, but this failed to correct the APTT. Evaluation of the clotting factors revealed decreased levels of factors II, V, VIII, IX and XI. The presence of LA was demonstrated by the dRVVT test, and the patient was diagnosed with LAHPS. He was successfully treated with corticosteroid before performing the orthopedic surgery.       • 전쟁패러다임의 전환과 군사변혁

        In present, advanced countries in the world are seen concentring on Military Transformation to create new military capability as there is a shift in Warfare Paradigm. Rapid development of technology enables military system, operational concept and organization innovated. As a result, Revolution in Military Affairs(RMA) that dramatically increased warfighting capability is pursued. Especially, advanced information technology constructs system of systems with abilities of battle visualization, information sharing in battlefield, long-range strike capability that are interoperable and combined. Corresponding to this, engagement methods and organizations are being progressively developed. The purpose of this thesis is overview of newly developing Warfare Paradigm and analysis of tendency of Military Transformation that advanced countries are pursuing preparation to this. Above all, specific aspects and contents of the Warfare Paradigm which emerged by information age were summarized. Subsequently, Military Transformation which provides the basic concepts and principles to the advanced countries in the world for the creation of new military capability was discussed. In conclusion, the tendency of Military Transformation by U.S.A, Japan, China, and Russia surround the Korean peninsular as the major power in military was carefully observed.

        영역교차시너지 최대화를 위한 한국군의 전력체계 혁신 방안

        본 논문의 목적은 4차 산업혁명의 가속화에 따라 파격적 변화가 예고되는 미래 전쟁 양상에 대비해 우리 군이 추구해야 할 전력체계 혁신 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 4차 산업혁명의 본질적 속성은 사물인터넷, 클라우드, 빅데이터, 모바일, 인공지능등의 기술을 기반으로 한 초연결성과 초지능성의 심화이며, 이는 전쟁 수단과 방식의 근본적 변혁을 초래할 것으로 분석된다. 전투공간의 모든 영역에 배치된 전력체계들이 초연결 · 초지능화됨에 따라 영역교차시너지 최대화의 전력 운용 개념이 구현되는 네트워크중심전이 발전될 것이다. 이에 본 논문은 인류 문명의 초연결 · 초지능 혁명 가속화가 전쟁의 수단과 방식을 어떻게 어떤 방향으로 변화시킬 것인지를 개관하고, 세계 최고 군사 선진국인 미국이 추구하고 있는 4차 산업혁명 기반 군사혁신의 최근 동향을 살펴본다. 이런 분석을 기초로 우리 군이 추구해야 할 초연결 · 초지능 전력체계 혁신과 전투클라우드 플랫폼 구축 방안을 정립 · 제시한다. This study aims to find better ways to transform the military strength system that the Korean military should pursue, thereby preparing for the new aspect of future warfare. The fundamental features of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, currently change the way we live, comprises several technologies as Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud, Big-Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) which promise to promote hyper-connectivity and super-intelligence. It is highly likely that these technologies will also change our means and methods of warfare. Assuming that the hyper-connectivity and the hyper-intelligence necessarily affect the weapon systems employed in all domains throughout the battle-space, it is important to focus on the network centric warfare that is based on the maximization of cross domain synergy as its key concept of military force employment. This study, first, overviews how and with what direction the hyper-connectivity and the hyper-intelligence, which are proceeding faster and faster, change the means and methods by which war is waged. Second, this study examines how the Fourth Industrial Revolution has led the latest trend of the revolution in the U.S. military, the world"s mightiest military power. Third, this study offers ways to transform the Korean military strength system on the basis of the hyper-connectivity and the hyper-intelligence and to build the combat cloud platform in the Korean military.
