유아 그림책 「강아지 똥」에 나타난 주인공의 자아형성 과정 분석
박찬옥(Park Chan-Ok),신혜선(Shin hye-sun) 한국열린유아교육학회 2005 열린유아교육연구 Vol.10 No.3
This research for "Gang-A-Ji, Dong" is basically analyzed with the 4 major notions of Berne's Transactional Analysis that are 'Structural Analysis', 'Transactional Pattern', 'Game' and 'Script'. The main character of "Gang-A-Ji, Dong" is explored through these Berne's concept. As a result of study, it is noticeable that the experiences of crossed and ulterior Transaction with others affect Dong to form himself as a dirty and needless dog. He thinks himself as a worthless existence and is not capable to help others. This idea builds up a vanquished-script for Dong's life. After the Transaction with Min-Dle-Le, Dong and Min-Dle-Le exchange many thoughts. Min-Dle-Le is the character whose mental behaviour is influenced by the idea of 'I am OK. You are OK'. Their Transaction provokes Dong to have positive mind and encourage helping others. Dong's life becomes to have a victor-script. The Complementary Transaction with Min-Dle-Le is the most important part of his life for Dong, the main character to mold himself positively.

Background: Hemangioma is the most common benign hepatic tumor. Many hepatic hemangiomas tend to be found incidentally, but should be differentiated from malignant tumors. We report an interesting case of hepatic hemangioma in patient who has high risks of hepatocellular carcinoma. Case: A 52-year-old woman, who was a chronic alcoholic abuser and hepatitis C virus carrier with no treatment experience, was admitted due to diarrhea. The patient had suffered from intermittent abdominal pain in the right subcostal area for recent 3 months. Also the patient had easy bruising and frequent epistaxis. She had used oral contraceptives for almost 20 years. Systolic blood pressure was 160 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure was 80 mmHg. Body temperature was normal. Physical examination revealed icteric sclerae and tenderness in right upper quadrant of the abdomen. Laboratory study showed platelet count of 31,000/ul, AST/ALT of 302/127 IU/L, and total bilirubin of 2.7 mg/dl. 3-phased contrast-enhanced abdominal computed tomography (CT) revealed a 4 cm × 4 cm sized hepatic mass involving both segment 5 and 6. Abdominal CT finding suggested hepatic hemangioma, however, typical finding of hemagioma was unclear, therefore, could not rule out the malignancy. Since she had risk factors for hepatocellular carcinoma, abdominal ultrasonography was performed for further evaluation. But abdominal ultrasonography also showed atypical finding. The confirmative diagnosis could be done by dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using primovist®, which is an innovative liver cell-specific contrast medium. Dynamic MRI presented peripheral globular enhancement and a centripetal fill-in pattern, confirmatory findings of hepatic hemangioma, on the delayed image. The patient got relief from abdominal pain and diarrhea during admission, now is being followed-up at a general out-patient clinics. Conclusions: Hemangiomas with atypical abdominal CT and ultrasonographic findings in patients with high risks of hepatocellular carcinoma can be easily characterized with primovist-enhanced dynamic MRI.

During a study of harpacticoid copepods from Korea, one species of the family Orthopsyllidae was found by rinsing macroalgae collected from the intertidal and subtidal zones at Hangaechang, Munseum Islet in Jeju Island of Korea. The Orthopsyllus is closely related to Orthopsyllus linearis curvaspinata Mielke, 1993, however it is distinguished from the original description by the combined characters of slightly slender caudal seta V in the female, relatively short and ovoid caudal ramus, the seta formula of P3, and the length of P2 and P4 endopod in the male. Since Orthopsyllus linearis (Claus, 1866) is notorious for its incomplete previous descriptions and therefore its polymorphic status, it is premature to fix the status of present Orthopsyllus species from Korea, without the detailed comparative study among the congeners. However due to the urgent need for the report of the genus in the region, we report this species as Orthopsyllus linearis (Claus, 1866) like but different one within the genus: Orthopsyllus cf. linearis (Claus,1866). This is the first report of the genus Orthopsyllus for the first time in Korea.

Beans are well known to be high-protein diets. Bean seeds contain arginine, lysine, or glycine-rich proteins which are effective to maintain lower glucose levels. In this study, the synergistic effect of fermented small soybean (Chounggukjang) and mulberry leaf on metabolism and hexokinase activity was investigated in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats, We divided 8 groups as follows: non-diabetic mt group fed with only water diet (NC: control), and STZ-induced diabetic rat groups fed with water (DC), fermented Rhynchosia Nulubilis (Bbc), fermented Glycine max Merr (Ybc), Bbc and YBc (BYbc), mulberry leaf and Bbc (MBbc), mulberry leaf and Ybc (MYbc), or the mulberry leaf, Bbc, and Ybc (MBYbc). Diabetes mellitus was induced in rats by subcutaneous STZ administration (70 ㎎/㎏ of body weight). All diet groups were fed with Chounggukjang in a powder form Three ml of Chounggukjang solution (0.75 ㎎ per gram of body weight) dissolved in distilled water was orally administered to all rat groups after STZ administration except for NC rat group. In groups fed with fermented soybeans, the body weight (increased), food efficiency ratio (FER) (increased), glucose level (decreased) and hexokinase (HK) activity (increased) significantly differed to NC Among them, particularly in the groups fed with both fermented soybeans and mullberry leaf, kidney weight significantly decreased, whereas HK activity significantly increased compared to DC. These results suggest that Chounggukjang of both fermented soybeans and mulberry leaf is potentially used as an effective functional food to prevent diabetes complications.

A bacterium capable of hydrolyzing raw starch was isolated from soil, which was identified as a strain of Bacillus. The effects of culture conditions and medium compositions on the enzyme production were investigated. Among tested carbon sources, soluble starch and wheat starch were most effective for the production of the enzyme, and the level of concentration for the optimal enzyme production was 0.5%. For nitrogen sources, polypeptone was best for the enzyme production, with the level of 0.5%. The enzyme was maximally produced by cultivating the organism at medium of initial pH 6.5, and temperature of 35℃. The enzyme was partially purified by Sepharose CL-6B gel filtration and DEAE-Sephacel ion-exchange chromatography. The optimal pH and temperature for the enzyme reaction were 6.5 and 70℃, respectively. The enzyme most stable at pH 8.0, and temperature up to 60℃. In kinetic studies, the k_m values for corn, wheat, rice and potato starch sere 1.7, 1.4, 2.5 and 1.0%, respectively.
