Twenty-three plants of Japanese apricot (Prunus mume) were collected from several sites around Mountains JIRI in Korea. Japanese apricots having the different morphological features were evenly distributed in the groups made from the cluster analysis, indicating no geographic distributions but artificial vegetations in Korea. Japanese apricots were, as based on the PCR-RAPD techniques, clustered into the three groups; a group (prototype) having the five white petals with the five red sepals, a group (green type) having the five white petals with the five green sepals, and a group (hybrid type) having the more than five red petals with various colored sepals. The prototype apricots showed higher toxicities than other type apricot against bacteria and production of less compounds in TLC plates. The polypetal types of Japanes apricot were related to those of p. armebiaca in the characteristics of seed (the ruggedness), but also to be closed to those of p. armebiaca in PCR-RAPD analysis. The cluster analysis of the twenty three apricots and its related species calculated from the two primers were shown to distinguish relationships of cultivars within species, or of individual plants within cultivars, but also to display the two overlapping bands resulted from PCR-RAPD technique.

Increase of national family income improved demand of high-quality and year-round horticultural products including chrysanthemum. To meet these demand, farmers have introduced protected facilities, such as greenhouses, of which environmental conditions could be monitored and controlled. Environment management up to three weeks after transplanting is critical for chrysanthemum quality. Artificial lighting and light-blocking screen are especially important for long-day (day period > 13 hours) and short-day (night period > 13 hours) treatments. In this study, a web-camera was installed, and the image was obtained and transmitted to mobile phones to monitor the status of 3-wavelength(RGB) lighting environments. RGB pixel values were used to determine malfunctioning of the lighting lamps, and leaking out and incoming illumination status during short-day and long-day treatment periods. Normal lighting lamps provided RGB pixel values of 240~255. During long-day treatment period, G pixel values were useful to detect abnormal lighting conditions (e.g., leaking). During short-day treatment period, R pixel values were useful to determine incoming light (e.g., sun-light). Results of this study would provide useful information for remote monitoring of light conditions for protected chrysanthemum production under artificial lights.

객체지향 C++ 컴파일러에서 가상기계 코드의 실행과 분석을 위한 역컴파일러의 설계 및 구현

EVM(Embedded Virtual Machine) 은 ISO/IEC C++ 와 SUN사의 Java 등의 객체지향 언어를 수용할 수 있는 임베디드 가상기계 솔루션이며, SIL(Standard Intermediate Language)은 EVM의 종간언어로 객체치향 언어와 순차적인 언어를 위한 연산 코드 집합을 갖고 있다. 기존의 객체지향 C++ 컴파일러는 C++ 프로그램을 목적기계의 코드로 변환하여 실행한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 연구팀은 EVM을 개발하면서 목적기계의 코드가 아닌 플랫폼에 독립적인 스택기반의 가상기계 코드를 생성하는 C++ 컴파일러를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 C++ 컴파일러가 생성한 중간 언어인 SIL 코브를 3-주소 코브 형태의 재 표현된 C++ 프로그램으로 변환하는 역컴파일러(Decompiler) 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 역컴파일러가 생성한 C++ 프로그램의 실행을 통해 SIL 코드가 올바르게 생성되었는지를 확인할 수 있으며, 최적화된 SIL 코드의 생성을 위한 시뮬레이션을 제공한다. 또한 프로그램에 담겨진 의미를 어셈블리 형태를 지닌 SIL 코브에 비해 소스 레벨로 쉽게 분석할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

판상형 충전제의 함량과 배향에 따른 PP복합체의 영률 변화 연구

이 논문은 판상형 충전제의 함량과 배향에 따라 폴리프로필렌 복합체의 영률 변화에 미치는 영향을 연구 하였다. 이론적인 예측은 Lee와 그의 연구자들에 의해 제안된 두 개의 종횡비, ρα=a1/a3과 ρβ=a1/a2 를 이용하여 3차원 타원체의 형상을 계산하였고 실험값과 비교 분석하였다. 판상형 충전제로 운모와 탈크를 사용하였다. 충전제의 형태는 SEM을 이용해 관찰하였고, 종횡비는 고분자의 흐름을 기준으로 좌표축을 설정하여 통계적 방법으로 계 산하였다. 충전제가 운모인 경우에 ρα=13.5와 ρβ=1.8이었고, 탈크의 경우는 ρα=3.8과 ρβ=1.4이었다. 또한 충전제 의 2개의 종횡비와 함량이 기계적 물성에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 연구하였다. 운모의 경우 30 wt% 함량일 때 E11이 약 2.7배 향상되었다. 탈크의 경우는 E11이 약 2.3배 향상하였다. This paper studied the effects of the content and the orientation of the disk shape fillers on the modulus of PP composites. The experimental results were compared with the theoretical calculations which included the three dimensional ellipsoids and analyzed by two aspect ratios, ρα=a1/a3 and ρβ=a1/a2 proposed by Lee and his researchers. Mica and talc were used as disk shape fillers in the composites. The shapes of mica and talc were observed by SEM and aspect ratios were statistically calculated. For the case of mica, the average aspect ratios were ρα=13.5 and ρβ=1.8, and for the case of talc, they were ρα=3.8 and ρβ=1.4. Also, the effects of two aspect ratios and the content of filler on the mechanical properties were studied: For 30 wt% of mica, E11 increased up to about 2.7 times, and for the other case of talc, E11 increased up to about 2.3 times, respectively.

A Multi-Center Educational Research Regarding Breastfeeding for Pediatrics Residents in Korea

Purpose: Pediatricians have a significant responsibility to educate mothers about the importance of breastfeeding. However, there have been minimal efforts in the courses of resident training in Korea. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the change in knowledge and attitude before and after a 4-week breastfeeding educational intervention among multicenter residents. Methods: Prospective interventional educational research was designed for residents at eight training hospitals in Korea. Institutional reviews were obtained in each hospital. The education curriculum consisted of 14 courses regarding breastfeeding theory and practice. These materials were used to teach pediatric residents for 4 weeks. Knowledge-based tests were administered before the course, and re-tests were administered after the course using different test items of similar levels. Test scores and survey responses were compared before and after the intervention. Results: A total of 73 residents (1st year 20, 2nd year 23, 3rd year 16, and 4th year residents 14) from eight training hospitals completed the intervention. Their average age was 30.3±2.9 years, 17 (23.3%) were male, 22 (30.1%) were married, and eight had more than one child of their own. The mean pre-test score was 61.8±13.4 and the mean post-test score was 78.3±7.5 (P<0.001). The inter-grade difference in the score was significant in the pre-test (P=0.005), but not significant in the post-test (P=0.155). There were more responses of obtaining confidence after the intervention (P<0.001). Conclusion: In our study, pediatric residents showed improvement in their knowledge and confidence level after 4 weeks of the breastfeeding curriculum. C++ 언어는 객체지향 프로그래밍 언어로, 기존의 C++ 프로그램은 각각의 플랫폼에 따른 컴파일러를 통해 목적기계의 코드(object code)로 변환되므로 실행되는 플랫폼에 의존적인 단점이 있다. 이러한 단점을 보완하는 방법으로 스택기반의 가상기계와 가상기계의 입력형태인 중간코드를 이용하는 기법이 있다. EVM(Embedded Virtual Machine)은 ANSI C, ISO/IEC C++ 언어와 SUN사의 Java 언어 등을 모두 수용할 수 있는 임베디드 시스템 기반의 가상기계이며, EVM에서 실행되는 중간코드인 SIL(Standard Intermediate Language)은 객체지향 언어와 순차적인 언어를 모두 수용하기 위한 명령코드의 집합으로 설계되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 C++ 컴파일러를 통해 생성된 SIL 코드가 올바른지 검증하고 원시코드의 분석을 용이하게 하기 위해서 SIL 코드를 어셈블리 코드와 유사한 형태의 재 표현된 C++ 프로그램으로 역컴파일하는 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

The thermal performance of the building envelope is mainly required for guaranteeing a comfortable and hygienic interior climate. A roof is a part of the building envelope which provides protection from the thermal damage of the sun. To improve this protection ability, we can consider using a ventilated roof, which has a ventilation layer known as a cavity, beneath the roof cover panel. The objective of this study is to evaluate the influence of such factors as the slope of the roof, size or shape of the openings (i.e. inlet or outlet), effective cross section and cavity depth on the improvement of the air flow in the cavity for better thermal performance of the ventilated roof. In this study, the influence on air flow which is caused by the characteristics of these elements is researched. The evaluations are carried out by way of experiments.
