김구림의 아방가르드에 대한 고찰 -〈매스미디어의 유물>, 제4집단 이전의 해프닝과 제4집단의 활동을 중심으로-

본 연구는 한국 현대미술에 있어 실험적 예술을 실천한 김구림의 아방가르드에 대한 의의를 고찰하는 것을 목표로 한다. 연구 대상은 1969년부터 1970년까지 김구림이 참여한 메일 아트, 해프닝과 제4집단의 활동이다. 이를 위해 김구림이 동료 작가들과 함께 진행한 <매스미디어의 유물>과 <콘돔과 카바마인>, <육교 위에서의 해프닝>을 각각 분석하고 제4집단의 새로운 예술을 향한 시도를 살펴볼 것이다. <매스미디어의 유물>은 편지라는 새로운 매체를 한국 미술에 도입함과 동시에 편지의 수신자들을 작품의 창작 및 가치 생성의 참여자로 끌어들였다. <콘돔과 카바마인>은 예술을 감상하는 새로운 방법을 제시하며 기존의 사물과 인식에 대한 고정 관념을 타파하고자 하였다. 육교에 풍선 백여개를 매달아 행인들이 그 사이를 지나가게 한 <육교 위에서의 해프닝> 역시 사람들의 참여를 필연적으로 요구한 새로운 시도의 작업이었다. 작품의 생산과 수용에 있어서 작가와 관객의 경계를 무너뜨렸던 이러한 김구림의 작업은 이후 제4집단의 활동을 통해 문화 비판적 예술을 실현하는 것으로 확대된다. 제4집단은 인간 본연의 해방을 주장하고 기성의 문화예술을 비판함으로써 보다 개념적인 예술의 실천으로 나아갔다. 이와 같은 김구림의 작업들은 아방가르드라는 개념으로 묶일 수 있다. 하지만 이 지점에서 김구림의 작업에 있어 전위란 무엇인지에 대한 질문이 남게 된다. 본 연구는 그 해답을 새로운 예술을 지향하였던 작가의 시도 그 자체에서 찾고, 이를 레나토 포지올리의 아방가르드 이론을 통해 부연할 것이다. 포지올리가 말한 것처럼 아방가르드 예술의 이해는 새로운 예술의 존재에 정당성을 부여하고, 그 필요성을 인식할 때 가능하다. 그러한 관점에서 본 연구에서 다룬 김구림의 작업들 역시 한국 미술사에서 실험미술의 시작에 위치한다는 점, 곧 시대가 요구한 예술의 내용과 형식의 변화를 감지하여 구현했다는 점에서 그 의미를 찾을 수 있다. This research aims to study the significance of Kulim Kim‘s avant-garde art, who made the early step to experimental art in Korea. The subject of the study is mail art, happenings, and the Fourth Group movement that he participated in from 1969 to 1970. < Relics of Mass Media >, < Condom & Carbamine >, and < The Happening on the Overpass > were the series of works that Kim and his fellow artists performed for the new form of art, avant-garde. < Relics of Mass Media > introduced and implemented letters as a new medium to Korean art. The recipients of the letter became creators of the art and the value. The work, < Condom & Carbamine >, tried to break the stereotypes of objects and perceptions that proposed a new way of art appreciation. At < The Happening on the Overpass >, more than a hundred balloons were hung on the overpass and allowed pedestrians to walk through, was also a new attempt that inevitably required the participation of people. The artist intended to break boundaries made between the artist and the audience in the production and reception of the art. Later, he went ahead to the culture-criticizing works by participating in the Fourth Group. While insisting on the liberation of human nature and criticizing the existing art and culture, the Fourth Group pursued conceptual art. Although Kim is regarded as an avant-grade artist, the question has remained unanswered as to what Kim's avant-garde is. This study will explore the answers in the artist's attempt that pursued a new art, and expand it through Renato Poggioli's avant-garde theory. As Poggioli has stated, the understanding of avant-garde art is possible when it gives legitimacy to the existence of new art itself and recognizes its necessity. From that point of view, Kim's works, dealt with in this study, have meanings that occupy the beginning period of the experimental art of Korea. His works sensed a demand given by the time he lived in; to change the content and form of art and actualize it in artistic forms.

Modulating Brain Connectivity by Simultaneous Dual-Mode Stimulation over Bilateral Primary Motor Cortices in Subacute Stroke Patients

<P>Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) or transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has been used for the modulation of stroke patients' motor function. Recently, more challenging approaches have been studied. In this study, simultaneous stimulation using both rTMS and tDCS (dual-mode stimulation) over bilateral primary motor cortices (M1s) was investigated to compare its modulatory effects with single rTMS stimulation over the ipsilesional M1 in subacute stroke patients. Twenty-four patients participated; 12 participants were assigned to the dual-mode stimulation group while the other 12 participants were assigned to the rTMS-only group. We assessed each patient's motor function using the Fugl-Meyer assessment score and acquired their resting-state fMRI data at two times: prior to stimulation and 2 months after stimulation. Twelve healthy subjects were also recruited as the control group. The interhemispheric connectivity of the contralesional M1, interhemispheric connectivity between bilateral hemispheres, and global efficiency of the motor network noticeably increased in the dual-mode stimulation group compared to the rTMS-only group. Contrary to the dual-mode stimulation group, there was no significant change in the rTMS-only group. These data suggested that simultaneous dual-mode stimulation contributed to the recovery of interhemispheric interaction than rTMS only in subacute stroke patients. Synthesis and characterization of regioregular alkyl-substituted poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophenes).

<P>In order to increase the solubility of PEDOT, we introduced an alkyl chain into polymer backbone. Depending on the position of the alkyl bond, the steric hindrance between the alkyl chains can also leads to regioregularity in the polymer. The regioregular polymers can easily occur self-assembly, both in solution and in the solid state, resulting in highly ordered two- and three-dimensional polymer architectures. A series of soluble regioregular alkyl-substituted PEDOTs were synthesized using the Grignard Metathesis (GRIM) for the purpose of study on regiorandom and regioregular PEDOT. The ethylene proton adjacent to the oxygen atom of regioregular methoxydodecyl-PEDOT appears at 3.51 ppm, whereas the corresponding peak of regiorandom methoxydodecyl-PEDOT appears at 3.42 ppm.</P>

A Study of the Antecedents and the Consequences of Social Network Service Addiction

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of job demand on employees’ social network service addiction and how it influences their job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. And we explore if occupational self-efficacy can moderate the relationship between job demand and social network service addiction. In the results, first, job demand increases social network service addiction. Second, social network service addiction decreases job satisfaction and organizational citizen behavior. Finally, employees’ occupational self-efficacy decrease the effect of job demand social network service addiction.

<▼1><P>Supplemental Digital Content is available in the text</P></▼1><▼2><P><B>Abstract</B></P><P><B>Background:</B></P><P>Bojungikki-tang, a herbal medicine for strengthening the digestive system, has been widely used in East Asian countries since the Yuan Dynasty in China. Moreover, Bojungikki-tang has reportedly exhibited anti-allergy effects in many clinical trials. This systematic review will assess the effectiveness and safety of Bojungikki-tang for allergic rhinitis (AR).</P><P><B>Methods and analysis:</B></P><P>Eleven databases, including Asian databases, will be searched for studies conducted through October 2017. We will include randomized controlled trials (RCTs) assessing Bojungikki-tang for AR. The risk of bias will be evaluated using the Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool, and confidence in the cumulative evidence will be evaluated using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) instrument.</P><P><B>Ethics and dissemination:</B></P><P>This systematic review will be published in a peer-reviewed journal and will also be disseminated electronically and in print. A Study on a Physics Engine for 3-Dimension Games

As the game technology become advanced, the interest in realtime simulation based on physical become increased. In this paper, we examine the example and the technology of the 3-dimension physical engine and the example of the ocean game. And we study the movement of buoyant objects in the ocean in this paper. The movement of buoyant objects in the existing game engine has few application examples as well as study result. Therefore, in this paper we study the physical-based exercise equation and the application example about movement of buoyant objects to make up for these weak points.

Visual acuity impairment among children can lead to learning and behavioral disabilities. This study was carried out to describe the prevalence and risk factors of visual acuity impairment in Korean preschool children. Subject of this study was aged 4-6 children (n=2179) attending nursery and day-care centers of one district of Seoul City. The children were examined with Standard Visual Chart with diagrams familiar to children. If the visual acuity was equal to or less than 0.6, then it was described as impaired visual acuity. Age and sex were examined as for their associations with impaired visual acuity together with indicators of physical developments such as height, weight, and hemoglobin concentration. Based on the multiple logistic regression using SAS v 8.02, age and low birth weight were significant risk factors for impaired visual acuity, while other factors including parent's smoking history, housing environment, breast feeding history or diet habit were not. The results of this study indicate the importance of fetal environment/experiences in preventing impaired visual acuity. Possible role of incubators for low birth weight babies should also be considered.
