        The acid ionization constants of cis-aquo-bis(ethylenediamine)cobalt(Ⅲ) complexes have been spectrophotometerically (at 500 nm) measured in aqueous solution. According to curve fitting method, the equilibrium constants of reaction(1) and (2), K_1 and K_2 were measured at a various tempratures from analyzing the extinction coefficients of Co(Ⅲ) complex ions in a wide range of pH. 〔Co(en)_2(H_2O)_2〕^3+??〔Co(en)_2(OH)(H_2O)〕^2++H^+ (1) 〔Co(en)_2(OH)(H_2O)〕^2+??〔Co(en)_2(OH)_2〕^++H^+ (2) K_1 and K_2 values increased with increasing the temprature, were 1.5×10 exp (-6) and 1.5×10 exp (-10) respectively at 30℃ in 1M sodium nitrate solution : ΔH_1=7.5Kcal/mole, ΔH_2=6.5Kcal/mole and, ΔS_1=-2e.u., ΔS_2=23.6 e.u. The enthalphy and entropy changes indicate that the acid-base equilibria of Co(Ⅲ) ions are endothermic process and the effect of solvation is controlled over the reactions.

        일부 인쇄회로기판 납땜근로자들의 눈, 호흡기, 피부의 증상에 대한 조사연구

        목적 : 이 연구는 납점작업자를 대상으로 납점작업으로 유발될 가능성이 높은 눈, 호흡기, 피부 등의 증상호소율 및 노출강도에 따른 관련성을 파악하기위해 수행되었다. 방법 : 연구참가자 146명중 연구목적에 적합한 20명을 제외한 126명을 대상으로 '눈이 가렵고 충혈됨', '코가 가렵거나 파가움', '재채기', '콧물'. '코막힘' , '목이 따끔거림' , '목에 무언가가 걸려있는것 같음' , '갑자기 연속적인 기침을 함' , '운동 시에 다른 사람에 비해 숨이 가쁨', '숨을 쉴 때 쌕쌕하는 소리가 남', '가래가 끓음', '손이나 안면에 가려움을 느낌' , '안면에 여드름이 날' '손이나 안면에 붉은 반점이 남' 등 14가지 증상에 대한 경험유무와 혈중연농도, 납점작업의 건강위험요인에 대한 지식상태 등을 조사하였다. 결과 : 조사된 14가지의 증상 중, '갑자기 연속적인 기침을 함'이 하루 납점시간 4시간 이상인 군아서 4시간 미만인 군보다 유의하게 증상호소율이 높았으며, 다른 증상의 경우 하루 납땜시간에 따라 유의한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 납땜작업의 건강위험요인에 대한 질문에 12.8 %가 플럭스에 의한 건강위험을 지적하였다. 전체 대상자의 평균 혈중연농도는6.05 rg/dL였으며, 히고치는 15.50 rg/dL이었다.결론 : 납땜작업자에게 호흡기 증상의 위험이 높을 가능성이 있으며, 납땜작업의 건강위험에 대한추가적인 연구와 납점작업자들을 대상으로 납점작업에 의해 유발될 수 있는 건강장해에 대한 적극적인교육 및 홍보활동을 필요로 한다. Objectives : This study was conducted to evaluate the prevalence of ocular, respiratory and skin symptoms among solderers and to investigate the relationship between symptom prevalence and exposure intensity. Methods : We analyzed 126 eligible participants out of a population of 146 male solder-ers who completed the symptom questionnaires. Fourteen symptoms including 'itchy and red eyes', 'itchy or prickly nose', 'sneezing', 'rhinorrhea', 'blocked nose', 'prickly throat', 'foreign body sensation in throat', 'sudden bouts of coughing', 'exertional breathlessness', 'wheezing', 'sputum production', 'itchy face or hands', 'acneiform erup-tions on the face' and 'red spots on the face or hands' were contained. Blood lead levels of all the 126 participants were tested and the participants' own assessments of the health risk of soldering were collected. Results : Of the 14 investigated symptoms, 'sudden bouts of coughing' was significantly more prevalent in solderers who worked 4 hours or more a day than those who worked less than 4 hours a day, as for the other symptoms, there were no significant differences in the prevalences related to daily soldering hours. 2.8% of the solderers considered the risk of flux exposure to be serious. The mean blood lead bevel was 6.05 μg/dL (maximum 15.50 μg/dL). Conclusions : Soldering may increase the risk of respiratory symptoms. Further invert tigations on the hazards of soldering processes are warranted and solderers should be educarted on these hazards.

        Aquomolybdenum(V) ion has been prepared by the ion exchange resin in aqueous acid media and a spectra of the aquomolybdenum in the ultraviolet region are obtained. The yellow solution of aquomolybdenum shows +5 of oxidation number. And also ion exchange behavior of the complex ion indicates +2 of oxidation number. It is concluded that the complex ion is binuclear and the probable structure is 〔Mo_2O_4(H_2O)_6〕^+2. The properties of the ion are remarkably stable to air oxidation.

        면접조사를 통한 초등학생의 영양교육 실태 및 실천도 조사

        This study investigated the experience and practice of elementary school students on nutrition education. The data were collected from 217 male and female students attending 5-6th grade elementary schools in Seoul and Kyunggi-Do from March to June 2007, interviewing face to face by a nutrition teacher and 3 interns of a nutrition teacher. The results were as follows: 86.5% of the subjects learned about ‘Table etiquette’, ‘Reasons for eating fruits and vegetables’ (78.7%), ‘Food waste and environment’ (72.3%), ‘Healthy snacks’ (55.7%), ‘Food sanitation’ (52.3%), ‘Food culture of foreign countries’ (48.1%). Nutrition education experience was significantly different by gender. A total of 43.5% boys responded that they never learned about ‘basic food preperation’ (p < 0.01). They had learned ‘Nutrients for body’ and ‘Food waste and environment’ in school, ‘Healthy weight loss’, ‘Food culture of foreign countries’, ‘Food circulation’ on television, Most content (‘Table etiquette’, ‘Simple cooking’, ‘Food sanitati n’, ‘Eating behaviors for health’, ‘Reasons for eating fruits and vegetables’, ‘Healthy snacks’) was learned from parents. The practice after nutrition education was higher in ‘Table etiquette’ (2.14), ‘Eating fruits and vegetables’ (2.07) than others compared with education experience. The most reason of non-practice on nutrition information was ‘Troublesome’. In ‘Nutrients for body’, a boy answered ‘Difficult for practice’ 20.0%, a girl answered ‘Difficult to understand’ 32.6%, showing a significant difference between the gender groups (p < 0.001). They remembered the ‘Nutrients for body’ (49.6%), ‘Food sanitation’ (44.5%) because of ‘important content’,‘Basic food preparation’ (40.6%), ‘Food culture of foreign countries’ (36.3%) because of ‘interesting content’, ‘Healthy weight loss’ (52.0%), ‘Eating behavior for health’ (44.5%) and ‘Healthy snacks’ (33.7%) because of ‘need for my health’.

      • Nitrilotriacetatonickelate(Ⅱ)와 Copper(Ⅱ)간에 금속이온 치환반응속도

        The reactions between copper (Ⅱ) and nitrilotriacetatonickelate (Ⅱ) have been studied from pH 2.6 to 3.5 at an ionic strength of 1.0 and a temperature of 50℃. The reaction order in copper (Ⅱ) concentration is first order. The pseudo-first order rate constant is given by the expression k_0=k_1+k_1'[H^+]+k_2'[H^+]/[Ni^+2]. The expression is similiar to that for metal-exchange reaction between metal ion and polyaminocarboxlylate. The values of rate constants k_1, k_1' and k_2' were 1.02×10 exp(-3) sec^-1, 0.43 mole^-1 ℓ sec^-1 and 4.41×10 exp(-3) sec^-1, respectively. And also the mechanisms of copper (Ⅱ) and nickel (Ⅱ) exchange-reaction are discussed. The equation of the exchange reaction can be expressed by three pathways.

      • trans-Dichlorobis-(ethylenediamine) cobalt(Ⅲ)착물과 Pyridine간에 반응속도론적 연구

        Rate constants have been obtained for substitution reaction of trans-dichlorobis-(ethylenediamine) cobalt (Ⅲ) complex ion with pyridine and hydrogen ion concentration in mixed aqueous solvents, methanol-water, ethanol-water and acetone-water. The results discussed in terms of the Grunwald-Winstein treatment of substitution at lower pH is increasingly S_N1 mechanism in character, but substitution at higher pH may have a certain degree of S_N2 mechanism in character. And rate of substitution of transdichlorobis-(ethylenediamine)- cobalt(Ⅲ) complex ion with pyridine varies inversely as the hydrogen ion concentration at below pH 5.03. A reasonable mechanism proposed for this reaction is consistent with the kinetic data. The rate equation is derived from the proposed mechanism. And also the rate parameters are obtained from the above results.

      • 磁性浦捉劑 δ-FeOOH의 製造와 이를 利用한 重金屬이온의 處理

        자성포착제 δ-FeOOH는 황산철과 수산화나트륨 수용액을 반응시켜 얻은 수산화철 용액에 오존을 급격히 통하게 하여 합성했다. 실온에서 산화시간을 일정하게 하고 황산철에 대한 수산화나트륨의 농도 변화에 따른 δ-FeOOH의 생성에 대한 최적조건을 조사했다. 이러한 조건하에서 만든 산화철로써 폐수중의 중금속이온 즉 Cd^2+, Cr^6+, As^3+, Pb^2+, Hg^2+를 처리하고 그 결과를 보고한다. Magnetic seeding material, δ-FeOOH was prepared by passing through ozone to Fe(OH)_2, which is made by reaction the aqueous solution of the ferrous sulfate with the sodium hydroxide. In order to find the condition of formation of δ-FeOOH at room temperature, the variation of concentration of sodium hydroxide against ferrous sulfate was considered at constant oxidation time. Under these conditions, the degree of treatment for heavy metal ions, such as Cd^2+, Cr^6+, As^3+, Pb^2+, and Hg^2+ in waste water were discussed.

      • 저항성 운동과 유산소 운동에 따른 혈중 지질 성분의 변화

        This study investigate effects of resistance training and aerobic training on blood lipids, two groups of men participated in acute resistance and aerobic training. To know each subject's VO₂max, 8 each healthy male college students (19.7±2.3, 19.3±0.5 years; height 176㎝; %body fat: 12.6%) performed graded exercise test using bruce protocol and then four subjects performed resistance training which consist of three sets of six exercises at 60% of each subject's one repetition maximum with a work of 300㎉ for 47min bout and other four subjects performed aerobic training, 24min bout of treadmill running to consume 300kcal at matched rates of 60% VO₂max. Blood was obtained at rest and immediately after and 30min, 60min after exercise for analysis of blood lipids. The TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C level in resistance exercise and aerobic exercise were increased immediately after exercise(p<.05) and then gradually decreased until value of rest, respectively. The results suggest that, in general, aerobic training elicit a greater decreased lipid paramers (TC, TG, LDL-C) than resistance training when two activities are performed at matched 300kcal energy consumption of work and equal duration.

      • Iminodiacetatonickelate(Ⅱ)와 Copper(Ⅱ)간의 금속치환반응의 속도론적 연구

        The substitution reaction between copper(Ⅱ) and iminodiacetationickelate(Ⅱ) has been investigated spectrophotometrically at an ionic strength, μ=2.o and temperature, 25℃ with a various pH (3.0-5.0). From the observed rate constants the over-all rate of the substitution reaction us expressed as follows; Rate=(k_0″+k_H+[H^+]+k_Cu^2+[Cu^2+])[Ni(Ⅱ)-L] Where[Ni(Ⅱ)-L] is the concentration of the iminodiacetationickelate(Ⅱ). The values of k_0″, k_H+ and k_Cu^2+ were 2.1×10 exp(-4) sec^-1, 1.2 M^-1 sec^-1 and 1.8×10 exp(-2) M^-1, respectively. In addition to that, the path rate-deter mining step of the metal exchange reaction are discussed.
