      • Flow Behavior of Polystyrene and poly(styrene-co-BMA) Depending on Molecular Weight and Composition

        분자량의 증가와 함께 폴리스티렌의 전단점도는 증가하는 현상을 나타내었다. 전단속도와 전단점도와의 관계는 190,300 g/mol을 초과하는 고분자량의 경우 곡선의 형태(power-law)를 나타내었으나, 분자량이 111,400 g/mol인 폴리스티렌의 경우에는 전단점도가 전단속도에 무관한 Newtonian 유동형태를 보였다. 스티렌-BMA 공중합체에서의 스티렌의 양 증가는 점도의 증가 뿐만 아니라, non-Newtonian 유동현상을 유발하였다. BMA의 양 증가는 이와는 반대로 점도의 감소와 Newtonian 유동현상을 유도하는 것으로 관찰되었다. ML68HG 토너는 전단속도 전영역에 걸쳐 non-Newtonian 유동현상을 보였으며, 이는 수지의 가교에서 비롯되는 것으로 판단된다. 한편, 비가교된 SU98SBT4 토너는 전단속도에 관계없이 일정한 전단점도를 나타내었다.

      • Mo/γ-Al_2O_3 촉매의 벤젠 산화반응특성

        γ-Al_2O_3에 몰리브덴을 담지시킨 촉매를 고정층 반응기에 충전하여 벤젠과 같은 VOCs의 촉매산화반응 특성을 살펴보았다. 실험조건은 반응온도를 200∼500℃로 하고, 반응물인 벤젠의 농도를 1,000∼3,000ppm, 공간속도를 5,000∼60,000hr^-1의 범위에서 적용하였다. 연구결과, 벤젠의 전환율은 공간속도가 낮을수록 증가하고, 초기유입농도가 증가할수록 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 몰리브덴이 담지된 촉매의 성능은 니켈을 제외한 구리나 망간등의 다른 전이금속에 대해서는 다소 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 벤젠의 촉매연소반응은 1차 균일반응으로 해석될 수 있었으며, 균일연소반응의 활성화 에너지값은 7.4kcal/㏖ 이었다. Catalytic oxidation characteristics of benzene (one of important source of volatile organic compounds : VOCs) was investigated in a fixed bed flow reactor using Mo/γ-A1_2O_3 catalyst. As operating variables of experiment, reaction temperature (200∼500℃), benzene concentration (1,000∼3,000ppm), space velocity (5,000∼60,000hr^-1) were applied. The experimental results showed that the conversion of catalytic oxidation of benzene was increased with decreasing space velocity, while it was decreased with increasing inlet VOCs concentration. Mo/γ-A1_2O_3 catalyst exhibited more or less low activity among several transition metals such as Cu, Mn, Cr, etc. except Ni. The catalytic oxidation reaction for VOCs(benzene) could be expressed as the first order homogeneous reaction the activation energy of which was 7.4kcal/㏖.

        경북북부지역 한약재와 재배토양중의 중금속과의 상관관계

        The concentration of heavy metal were studied for the estimation of quality in herbal medicines which is Bupleuri Radix, Paeoniae Radix, Dioscoreae Rhizoma and Astragali Radix in products of north Gyeongbuk area. Also, we collected soils from several area in Gyeongbuk, and determined heavy metal concentration of soils by ICP. We compared with herbal medicines in products of Gyeongbuk and their soils. The average levels of heavy metal of herbal medicines in Gyeongbuk area are as follows : Mercury is 0.037㎎/㎏, Chromium is 0.093 ㎎/㎏, Nickel is 0.108㎎/㎏, Copper is 0.475㎎/㎏, Zinc is 3.14㎎/㎏, Manganese is 1.52㎎/㎏, Iron is 7.83㎎/ ㎏, and Cadmium, Lead and Arsenic is not detected. It was very lower in concentrations than those of average Korea area. For the heavy metals contents of Gyeongbuk area, in Gong Jung Ri, represented the higher level, it may be due to a near the road. The Cd contents in soil was not a wide difference. For the As and Pb contents in soil, Song Sa Ri (Bupleuri Radix) represented the higher level(0.68㎎/㎏, 1523㎎/㎏). Correlation coefficients of heavy metal contents in cultured herbal medicines and their soils did not give reproducible results. But the degree of correlation between a few heavy metal contents of Dioscoreae Rhizoma and their soil showed the good transfer from the soil.

        It has reached the results as follows to measure the isometric muscle power on 42 ballet-major women college students and 42 general college women inorder to find the isometric muscle power of the ballet-major students. 1)The peak torque of the average femoral flexors of ballot-maior women college students was found to be 37.7±7.70 in 60°·S-1 of angular velocity. to be 30.29±6.52 in 180˚·S-1, and 23.39±8.06 in 300˚·S-1. In the case of the femoral extensors, the one was shown to be 71.86±9.44 in 60˚·S-1. to be 78.29± 10.44 in 180˚·S-1. and 39.86±8.78 in 300˚·S-1. 2)For general women-college student, the peak torque of the avcrage frmoral flexorswas found to be 38.1±6.31 in 60˚·S-1 of angular velocity, to be 28.00±5.51 in 780˚·S-1. and 21.86±5.43 in 300˚·S-1. high-speed angular velocity, The femoral extensors was 78.29± 10.44 in 60˚·S-1, to be 51.14±7.97 in 180˚·S-1, and 36.86±8.78 in 300˚·S-1. 3)The meaningfulness on the isometric femoral flexors of 60˚·S-1 (P>0.64), 180˚·S-1 (P>0.69), and 300˚·S-1(P>0.36), and In the femoral extensors. the one was 60˚·S-1(P>0.0.81). 180˚·S-1(P>0.49). and 300˚·S-1(P>0.61). there was no statistical meaningfulness, either. 4)In connection will % body weight, the peak torque of the isometric femoral flexors of ballet-major women college students was found to be 34.29±7.13 in 60˚·S-1 of angular velocity, to be 27.47±6.37 in 180˚·S-1, and 21.14±7.84 in 300˚·S-1, while in the femoral extensors 60˚·S-1 of angular velocity was 65.57±9.95, 180˚·S-1 was 42.29±7.97, and 36.86±8.78 300˚·S-1. 5)The femoral flexors of % peak torque of general women college students was found to be 33.57±3.87 in 60˚·S-1 of angular velocity, 24.71±4.07 in 170˚·S-1, and 19.14±4.81 in 300˚·S-1. The femoral extensors resulted in 69.71±7.25 in 60˚·S-1,45.29±6.05 in 180˚·S-1, and 35.14±7.27 in 300˚·S-1. 6)In connection with % body weight, the statistical meaningfulness of the isometric femoral flexors was found to be 60˚·S-1 of angular velocity(P>0.16). 180˚·S-1 (P>0.29), 300˚·S-1(P>0.25), and there was no it. The femoral extensors was 60˚·S-1 of angular velocity(P>0.47), 180˚·S-1 (P>0.97). and 300˚·S-1 (P>0.80), there was no statistical meaningfulness, either. 7)In case ballet-major women college students. the ratio between the femoral flexors and extensors showed 50% of range in 60˚·S-1. 61% in 180˚·S-1 and 66% in 300˚·S-1, while in case of general college women it showed 49% in 60˚·S-1.55% in 180˚·S-1 and 55% in 300˚·S-1.

        This study has performed to investigate and evaluate the amount of pollutants and the status of water quality of the Hyung-San River and prediction water pollution loads. In the field survey('94.11-'95.3), mean concentrations of BOD were found 0.78-4.90ppm, respectively, which were exceeding the second grade at inflow point of Sindang stream The predicted BOD pollution loads of Hyung-San river in 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011 were 13,068.3 kg/day, 13,003.1 kg/day, 9,355.6 kg/day, 9,506.6 kg/day.

      • 옥타코사놀 급여에 따른 근력 및 지구력 증강효과

        Three to four week old mice (ICR strain, each 160 males and females) were used to test the effect of octacosanol. Octacosanol (0.8 mg/kg) or soybean oil as control was introduced orally for a week and three parameters, physical endurance, muscular strength, and body weight, were measured before and after the treatment. Muscular strengths, measured by Grip strength meter, were significantly increased by 30% in both male and female mice treated with octacosanol (0<0.05). The endurances were increased by 26.4% in male mice and 13% in female mice: 20% increase on average by octacosanol treatment. Body weights were decreased by 5.4% in male mice and no significant changes were detected in female mice.

        Ciprofloxacin 치료에 반응이 없는 유입된 장티푸스 1예

        장티푸스는 개발도상국에 흔하며, 항균제 내성이 증가하여 치료가 어렵다. 장티푸스 1차 치료제에 내성인 경우에도 퀴놀론은 치료 효과가 있으며, 경구 투여가 가능하므로 3세대 세팔로스포린 주사제에 비해 가격이 싸고 투여하기가 간편하여 개발도상국에서는 장티푸스 치료에 1차 선택제이다. 최근 아시아 지역에서 nalidixic acid에 내성인 장티푸스가 발생하고 이런 내성균은 퀴놀론 제제로 치료가 어렵다. 저자들은 최근 파키스탄에서 감염된 nalidixic acid 내성 장티푸스 예를 경험하였고 문헌 고찰과 함께 임상 경과를 보고한다. 31세 파키스탄 남자로 파키스탄에서 귀국한 후 열이 생겨 14일 후 내원하였다. 경험적으로 경구 ciprofloxacin을 7번 투여했으나 임상적 호전이 없었고, ceftriaxone 주사제로 바꾼 후 호전되었다. 혈액 배양에서 Salmonella Typhi가 확인되었고, nalidixic acid에 대해서는 최소억제농도가 32 ㎍/mL 이상으로 내성이었고 ciprofloxacin에 대해서는 최소억제농도가 1.0 ㎍/mL으로 검사실 기준으로는 감수성이었다. Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi infection is widely prevalent in developing countries; its treatment has been complicated by the emergence of resistance to antimicrobial agents. Fluoroquinolones are orally administered antimicrobials effective against typhoid fever, including that caused by the multidrug-resistant S. Typhi. They are relatively inexpensive and more convenient to administer com pared to third-generation cephalosporins; hence, they constitute the drugs of choice for the treatment of typhoid fever in developing countries. In Asian countries, however, resistance to nalidixic acid-a prototype of quinolone antibiotics-diminishes the value of fluoroquinolones with regard to the treatment of typhoid fever. We experienced a case of nalidixic acid-resistant S. Typhi infection imported from Pakistan that was clinically refractory to ciprofloxacin treatment. A 31-year-old male presented with a fever of 14 days' duration after returning from his native Pakistan. Oral ciprofloxacin was empirically administered for three days without any beneficial effect. His illness, however, improved after the administration of ceftriaxone for three days. Blood culture revealed the presence of S. Typhi that was resistant to nalidixic acid (minimal inhibitory concentration ≥32㎍/mL) but susceptible to ciprofloxacin (minimal inhibitory concentration=1.0㎍/mL) in vitro.

      • 보우타이 패치 안테나의 초광대역화 설계

        In this paper, A ultra wideband antenna with electromagnetically coupled feeding is presented. The designed antenna is composed of Bow-tie patch with parasitic patch ground of a semicircular shape. The measured bandwidth of the designed antenna is from 2.5GHz to 8.3GHz for -10dB return loss (VSWR < 2). This antenna shows a similar radiation pattern of monopole and maximum gain better than ideal dipole throughout the operating frequency band.
