        In order to establish more complete Korean Army standard physical fitness test, the following results are gained by the first test, 1969 and second. in 1970. The participants for the first test were 343 and for the second test in 1705. 1. The items of measurement for the Army Physical Fitness Test may be selected as follows. (1) pull ups (2) sit ups (3) 2,000m run (4) weight carry (5) standing long jump (6) drawing (7) shuttle run (8) forward flexion of trunk (9) 100m Run. 2. The standard evaluation by ages for the Army Physical Fitness Test may be accomplished through the Fig. 5.

        For the purpose of providing basic data on the physique and physical fitness on track and Feild, the results of the comparison between track athletes and field events athletes are as follows. 1.The field athletes showed to be higher in height, weight, chest girth, upper limb length, low limb, strength, and skinfold thickness, then the track athletes. 2.The track athletes and feild athletes showed to have similar physical fitness in the arm strength and 50m run. The track athletes showed to be more advanced in sit ups, while in grip strength, back strength, leg strength and sargent jump. 3.The track athletes and feild athletes showed to have similar physical fitness in the trunk flaxion and side step test. In the 2,000 m Run and Havard step test, the track athletes showed to be more advanced, while in the trunk extention and whole body reaction time, the field athletes were more advanced. 4.In the whole, the track athletes showed to be much more advanced in physique and physical fitness.

        Antropometric Measurements and various physical fitness test were made on 2,508 males aged between 20 and 65 years and 927 females aged fetween 20 and 60 years Antropometric measurements were made on body height, body weight, cicumference chest and abdominal circumference Physical fitness tests were made on 100m Run, Standing long jump, vertical jump, hand ball throw, sit-ups, Standing Trunk Felex-ion, Zigzag Run, and Shuttle Run, Endurance run. The results were tabulated as follows table 2, mean values of height, weight, circumference chest and abdominal circumference by age in male and female. Table 3, mean values of 100m Run, Standing broad jump and vertical jump by age in male and female. Table 4, mean values of hand ball drow, Sit-ups and standing trunk flexion by age in male and female. Table 5, mean values of zigzag Run, Shuttle run and Endurance run by age in male and female.

        For the purpose of providing basic data on the Physique and physical fitness on Table tennis, Badminton, and Tennis. The results of the comparison between these athletes are as follows ; 1. Table tennis atletes showed to be higher in heigh, weight, and chest girth than the badminton and tennis athletes, but in the upper limb length, the tennis athletes showed higher and for the low limb the badminton athletes showed to be higher. 2. Between the three sports athletes, the tennis athlete showed to be stronger in grip strength and the 50 meter run. while the table tennis athletes showed to be stronger in leg strength and sargent jump and badminton athletes showed to be stronger in the arm strength and back strength. 3. Among the tennis players, badminton players and table tennis players, the tennis players showed to be higher in Trunk flexion, side step test, and harvard step test. While in the trunk extension whole body reactiontime, and 2,000 meter run, the table tennis players scored hghest while the badminton players scored lowest all around. 4. In the whole, the table tennis players showed to be much more advanced in physical fitness, while tennis came in to second and badminton third.

      • 레스링 선수의 체력, 성격 및 일반성에 관한 연구(Ⅰ)

        The basic purpose of this study was to measure of physical fitness of Korean wrestlers. Varied physical fitness tests were given to the outstanding athletes of 22(4 of junior fly weight, 4 of fly weight, 4 of bantam weight, 4 of feather weight, 4 of light weight, 1 of welter weight and 1 of super heavy weight) who participated in reinforced training camp prepared for the Mu¨nchen Olympic Game in 1971. The results of this study pointed out the followings: 1. The wrestling athletes in 1971 showed better scores of their physical fitness test, than the wrestling athletes in 1968. 2. The wrestling athletes who were junior fly, fly and bantam weight showed better relative scores of their physical fitness tests than the wrestling athlete who were feather, light and welter weight.

        The purpose of this study is to evaluate effectively the level of physical fitness for volleyball players in secondary school team, collegiate team and national team. The investigators constructed physical fitness test items. The test items were administrated and data were collected and statistically analyzed. 1. The following test items were recommended ; 1) Measurement of selected physical characteristics Height, Weight, Chest circumference, Length of the upper limb. and Girth of the upper arm. 2) Physical fitness test-100 meter run, 1500 meter run, Vertical Jump, and Backward Flexion of Trunk. 3) Skill test-5 meter x times run, Hand Standing, Rolling test continue Jump, and Serve. 2. Evaluation for Norm are listed in Table Six.

        In order to examine values obtained by the test, comparing correlation coefficient between body weight and body height of Korean boys and girls. Antropometric measurement were made on 15,033 boys and girls who aged between 10 and 17 years old.       • 持久性 檢査法에 관한 硏究

        To establish a criterion for evaluation of physical fitness and to set up standard exercise load as would be compatible with the examination of cardiovascular functions in the Korean adult males, particularly in sportsmen, the present experiment was undertaken. A total of 480male college students were subject to step-up test for various duration using boxes of variable heights. The results may be summarized as follows: 1. The average lower leg length in college students of physical education was 89.55cm. 2. The amount o maximum 02 intake per min as was observed during stepping up and down on a box 45 cm heigh for a duration of 5 min was 3.47 liters which is equivalent to 89.5% of maximal 0₂ intake. 3. The maximum heart rate observed during step-up exercise of the same intensity as in 2 was 182min. which was about 96.3 of maximal heart rate attained by those subjects. 4. Stepping up and down on a 45cm box for 5 min. at a rate of 30 complete steps per min. was most suitable for evaluating physical fitness of sportsmen as judged by cardiovascular response. 5. Index of fitness was calculated by the equation time of stepping in seconds / 2x sum of 3 counts of the pulse X 100. The average fitness score as was caculated by the above equation was 79. 5 ±8.5 in college students of physical education.
