        축구선수의 Detraining과 Retraining이 혈청지질 및 호르몬농도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of detraining and retraining on serum lipid and hormones in soccer players. Subjects were seven male high-school soccer players. V˙O_2max was determined for each subjects by administering a treadmill test(initial speed: 90m/min, grade: 5%, increasing speed per 3 min: 30m/min). Serum lipid(T-C, TG, HDL-C LDL-C) and hormones(epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormones, cortisol) were assayed pre and post detraining in 10, 20, 30 days after retraining. The repeated ANOVA was used to determine significant differences. The 0.05 level of significance was as critical level for the study. The results of the study were as follows: 1. V˙O_2max(ml/min) were 3576.3±204.2ml/min pre detraining, 3234.1±198.9 ml/min post detraining. There are significant(p<.05) difference between pre and post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, V˙O_2max(ml/min) were 3601.4±170.9 ml/min. There were significantly(p<.05) increased in retraining periods. 2. V˙O_2max(ml/kg/min) were significantly(p<.05) decreased from 62.3±2.9 ml/kg/min to 55.9±4.7 ml/kg/min in detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, V˙O_2max(ml/kg/min) were 62.4±3.4ml/kg/min, 62.7±2.3ml.kg/min, 67.3±7.2ml/kg/min respectively. There were significantly(p<.05) increased in retraining periods. 3. T-C were significantly (p<.05) increased from 166.6±8.5mg/dl to 175.3±10.3 mg/dl in detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, T-C were 160.1± 3.2mg/dl, 156.7±3.7mg/dl, 140.3±9.0mg/dl. There were significantly(p<.05) decreased in retraining periods. 4. HDL-C were 61.4±6.6mg/di pre detraining, 5.3±6.6mg/dl post detraining. There are significant(p<.05) difference between pre and post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, HDL-C were 56.9±7.1mg/dl, 56.4±9.2mg/dl, 57.7±9.1mg/dl respectively. There were no significant difference in retraining periods. 5. The hormones(epinephrine. norepinephrine, growth hormone, cortisol) were changed as same patterns. Epinephrine were 26.0±7.0[g/ml pre detraining, 24.6±3.2pg/ml post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, epinephrine were 26.9±5.6pg/ml, 30.6±6.2pg/ml, 29.4±5.6pg/ml respectively. There were no significant difference in retraining periods. In conclusion, HDL-C, epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormone and cortisol were decreased, T-C, LDL-C and TG were increased in detraining. But HDL-C, epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormone and cortisol were increased, T-C, LDL-C and TG were decreased in retraining.

        수용액상 니트로스아민의 UV 광분해에서 pH 영향

        N-nitrosamines are a class of carcinogenic chemicals that can pose significant hazards to the human life. Ultraviolet (UV) light irradiation is considered as one of the effective methods to reduce N-nitrosamines in the aqueous phase. This study aimed to investigate the pH influence on UV photodegradation of N-nitrosamines (i.e., N-nitrosodibutylamine (NDBA) and N-nitrosopyrrolidine (NPYR)) closely related to water treatment. Photodegradation rate constants of NDBA and NPYR remained between 3.26×10-2 L/W-min to 5.08×10-3 L/W-min and 1.14×10-2 L/W-min to 2.80×10-3 L/W-min at pH2-10, respectively. This study also focused on the formation of oxidized products (i.e., primarily NO2- and NO3-). Under slightly acidic and eutral conditions, NO2- formation was more prevalent than NO3- formation, while under strong acidic conditions, NO3- was more prevalent. There was no significant change in total organic carbon (TOC) and total nitrogen (TN), suggesting negligible loss of N-nitrosamines and degradation products from the system. NDBA was easily photodegraded than NPYR. This study also demonstrated that a lower pH is a favorable condition for photolytic degradation of N-nitrosamines in water.

        To study fauna of Silla University located in Mt. Baek-yang, we conducted six surveys from 29 May 2011 to 28 April 2012. We found five phyla 41 orders 197 species of animals inhabiting in this area: four phyla 27 orders 163 species of invertebrates and in vertebrates one order six species of fishes, three orders nine species of amphibians and reptiles, six orders 14 species of aves, and four orders five species of mammals. Of these species, some Korean endemic species were included: a fish of Rhodeus uyekii in a pond near main gate of this university, a frog of Rana coreana in a creek near a dormitory, and a rabbit of Lepus coreanus and a water deer of Hydropotes inermis in a grass region near a main stadium. A kind of hawk, Falco tinnunculus as a natural monument (animal) of no. 323-8, was observed on a building of medical and life science. A blue frog of Hyla japonica as a variation was found near a spring resort. Therefore, this area is considered an ecologically important area having a high animal diversity.

        플레이포트 놀이가 생리학적 효과에 미치는 영향

        To validify the physiologic availability of the playport game, we examined the metabolic and ventilatory responses of second and fourth grade boys(n=6) and adult men(n=4) during playport games. In children, maximal oxygen uptake(V˙O_2max) and lactate threshold(V˙O_2 LT) measured on treadmill, averaged 47.3±3.4 ml·㎏^1·min^1 and 27.6±1.9 ml·㎏^1·min^1, respectively. The playing at the 8 min playport elicited an average of 44.1±5.2 ml·㎏^1·min^1 during the last 4 min after starting the play, which corresponded to approximately 90% of V˙O_2max. When compares the lactate (La) levels between children and adults, the children has significantly lowered La at 2.44±0.6 mM/ l and below than the adult groups. The present results suggested that children experience high intensity physical activity during playport game seemingly contributed to the enhancement of cardiorespiratory function.

      • Effects of aerobic exercise training on hypertrophy signaling in old rat heart

        Aging is a significant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and plays a critical role in the pathologic mechanisms of cardiac failure or diseases. A characteristic of the typical physiological change of cardiac muscle by aging is the reduction of heart function due to reactive hypertrophy. The purpose of this study was to determine whether aerobic exercise training attenuates aging-induced hypertrophy signaling in the rat heart. Fischer 344 rats were divided into young sedentary (YS; n=10, 4 months) group, young exercise (YE; n=10, 4months) group, old sedentary (OS; n=10, 20 months) group, and old exercise (OE; n=10, 20 months) group. Exercise training groups ran on a treadmill at 15 m/min (young) or 10 m/min (old), 45 min/day, 5 days/week for 8 weeks. Left ventricle was extracted to determine the protein levels of Akt/mTOR signaling pathway (Akt, mTOR, p70s6k, and 4E-BP1) through Western immunoblot analysis. The protein levels of Akt/mTOR signaling were not significantly increased in the OS compared with YS. However, Akt/mTOR signaling levels were significantly increased by exercise training. The data demonstrated that aerobic exercise training activated the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway of rat heart, suggesting that aerobic exercise training may induce muscle growth in left ventricle, leading to cardiac muscle hypertrophy in rats.

      • Resveratrol prevents against aging-induced mitochondrial dysfunction in rat cardiac muscle

        Resveratrol (RSV), a natural antioxidant that is contained a lot in red wine or the grape skin, has beneficial effects on cardiac and skeletal muscles such as anticancer, antiviral, neuroprotective, anti-aging, and life-extending, and therefore is widely used for the improvement of human health and the prevention of diseases. Aging is a significant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, and mitochondrial dysfunction plays a critical role in the pathologic mechanisms of cardiac failure or diseases with aging. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine whether the resveratrol attenuates aging-induced mitochondrial dysfunction in rat cardiac muscle. Fischer 344 rats were divided into young sedentary (YS; n=10, 4 months) group, young resveratrol (YR; n=10, 4months) group, old sedentary (OS; n=10, 20 months) group, and old resveratrol (OR; n=10, 20 months) group. Rats were treated with RSV (50mg/kg/day) via oral gavage for 3 weeks. Left ventricle was extracted to determine mitochondrial O2 consumption (respiration) with Oroboros O2K Oxygraph and mitochondrial H2O2 emission and Ca2+ retention capacity with Spex Fluormax 4 spectrofluorometer. Resveratrol treatment attenuated age-induced increase in cardiac muscle mass in old groups. Mitochondrial O2 respiratory capacity was decreased by aging and was protected by RSV treatment. Mitochondrial Ca2+ retention capacity was decreased by aging and was protected by RSV treatment in the old groups. RSV treatment attenuated age-induced mitochondrial H2O2 emitting potential in the heart. These data demonstrate that resveratrol protects against aging-induced impairment of mitochondrial function in cardiac muscles. In addition, these data imply that resveratrol may attenuate aging-induced cardiac dysfunction by reducing oxidative stress in aged cardiac muscle.

        고주파요법과 갯장어 추출물 병행처리가 남성피부에 미치는 영향

        This study aimed to examine the treatment effect of Muraenesox cinereus extract product combined with high frequency on men’s damaged skin. The subjects were treated by a product containing M. cinereus extract combined with high frequency therapy for six weeks and tested in skin condition. First, for moisture level change, there was no significant difference between the control group treated only by high frequency therapy and the experimental group treated by a M. cinereus extract product combined with high frequency therapy. But the subjects who increased consistently in moisture level in the cheek and chin were more common in the experimental group. Second, for an oil level, prominently high increase was found in both the control group and the experimental group. Finally, for a rough level, while there was little difference in the control group between immediately after peeling and after six weeks, high improvement effect on a curve was found in the experimental group. Based on this result, cosmetics using M. cinereus extract may have a positive effect on men’s skin which is exposed to several stress factors. Accordingly, this result will contribute to developing men’s functional cosmetics.
