Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to weight the 6 major and 18 secondary attributes from the data of interviews. The objectives were to find out the weaknesses of business development of the Liutui Hakka restaurants and food industry via competition analysis of the business supply chain. These findings would be used as references for suggesting a “Blue Ocean Strategy” to the future sustainable operation and an uncontested market of the Hakka restaurants and food industry in the Liutui area. The research showed that the top three priorities of the 6 major attributes were quality, customer service and marketing (equally weighted), and flexibility. The most important secondary attribute under the major attribute quality was product safety and wholesomeness. These findings would be provided to the business holders and governments as bases for making development policies and strategies for future sustainable Hakka restaurants and food industry.

The Impact of Corporate Venture Capital on Enterprise Value in China

Purpose – Chinese corporate venture capital has been particularly active in the Internet sector, with Tencent gradually expanding its business ecosystem through corporate venture capital activities. Therefore, this paper chooses Tencent as the case study object to discuss the influence of venture capital on the value creation of the platform-type business ecosystem, hoping to provide reference for China’s corporate venture capital practices. Design/Methodology/Approach – This paper takes Tencent’s corporate venture capital investment data from 2011 to 2022 as the research object, and uses case analysis, financial index analysis, and event analysis to demonstrate whether there is influence between corporate venture capital and enterprise value. Findings – Through the analysis of the investment motivation, investment mode, and investment projects of Tencent Group’s venture capital, the research results show that corporate venture capital can indeed have an impact on the strategic and financial values of enterprises. Research Implications – There are few studies on the venture capital activities of Internet platform enterprises in the existing literature. Based on two dimensions of strategic and financial value, this paper explores the value creation function of venture capital in the platform business ecosystem, and the research results have reference significance for the venture capital activities of other enterprises.

(Purpose) Although the existence of regional disparities among local governments is inevitable, it needs to be reduced in order to improve the efficiency of resource allocation and create equity in the policy environment. As a starting point for narrowing the regional disparity in Korea and in China, this paper attempts to find out the variations and fundamental causes of the regional disparity from 1985 to 2019 in terms of GRDP. (Design/methodology/approach) For this, the characteristics of regional disparities are investigated by computing the Gini coefficients for the GRDP and per capita GRDP of local governments in both countries, and the Gini coefficient decomposition method is used to explain the major causes of regional imbalances. (Findings) The results derived from analyzing the major factors of economic disparity with the Gini coefficient, the contribution of the economic disparity between and within metropolitan areas is similar to the factors of the overall economic disparity in Korea. On the other hand, it can be seen in China that local government factors at the regional level are greater since the contribution of the disparity between regions is greater than within a region. (Research implications or Originality) Therefore, for Korea both policy efforts of local governments and a balanced regional development policy at the central government level are required to reduce the disparities. On the other hand, for China it is believed that policies to improve regional disparities are needed at the regional government level because the contribution of disparities between regions is greater than within a region.

Traditional information system and managerial mechanism cannot meet the new environment protection regulations; therefore, a new solution must be set up, else it may run the risk of losing the market and the value of product brand.This research focuses on the solutions provided by the network and communication industry, manufacture of the green products, and the establishment of a Web-based green collaboration management system, which incorporates the environment protection requests into the product development and green supply chain activities. There are three goals: (1) For the design of green products, green components and product management are set up for the purpose of de-toxin and ease of disassemble; (2) For the green supply chain, the management of hazardous substances, product recycle and disassemble are set up; (3) For the product recycling management, the recycling information is feedback for the product update and collaboration operation. The result of research can provide information for the integration of workflow and information system currently in use, provide RoHS and WEEE management solutions, and set up green collaboration information system, so that green products, brand leadership, and environment protection endeavor can be assured.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive management strategy that has been widely applied for benign and recurrent malignant thyroid lesions as an alternative to surgery in Taiwan. Members of academic societies for specialists in interventional radiology, endocrinology, and endocrine surgery collaborated to develop the first consensus regarding thyroid RFA in Taiwan. The modified Delphi method was used to reach a consensus. Based on a comprehensive review of recent and valuable literature and expert opinions, the recommendations included indications, pre-procedural evaluations, procedural techniques, post-procedural monitoring, efficacy, and safety, providing a comprehensive review of the application of RFA. The consensus effectively consolidates advice regarding thyroid RFA in clinical practice for local experts.

Combined Assessment of Serum Alpha-Synuclein and Rab35 is a Better Biomarker for Parkinson’s Disease

Background and Purpose It is essential to develop a reliable predictive serum biomarker for Parkinson’s disease (PD). Te accumulation of alpha-synuclein (αSyn) and up-regulated expression of Rab35 participate in the etiology of PD. Te purpose of this investigation was to determine whether the combined assessment of serum αSyn and Rab35 is a useful predictive biomarker for PD. Methods Serum levels of αSyn or Rab35 were determined in serum samples from 59 sporadic PD patients, 19 progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) patients, 20 multiple system atrophy (MSA) patients, and 60 normal controls (NC). Receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curves were calculated to determine the diagnostic accuracy of αSyn or/and Rab35 in discriminating PD patients from NC or atypical parkinsonian patients. Results The levels of αSyn and Rab35 were increased in PD patients. The serum level of Rab35 was positively correlated with that of αSyn in PD patients. Compared to analyzing αSyn or Rab35 alone, the combined analysis of αSyn and Rab35 produced a larger area under the ROC curve and performed better in discriminating PD patients from NC, MSA patients, or PSP patients. When age was dichotomized at 55, 60, 65, or 70 years, the combined assessment of αSyn and Rab35 for classifying PD was better in the group below the cutof age than in the group above the cutof age. Conclusions Combined assessment of serum αSyn and Rab35 is a better biomarker for discriminating PD patients from NC or atypical parkinsonian patients, and is a useful predictive biomarker for younger sporadic PD patients.

Case Reports : Sturge-Weber Syndrome

Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS) is a neurocutaneous syndrome, characterized by the association of facial port-wine hemangiomas in the trigeminal nerve distribution area, with vascular malformation(s) of the brain (leptomeningeal angioma) with or without glaucoma. Herein, we reported Sturge-Weber syndrome in a 50-year-old man, who presented port-wine hemangiomas and epilepsy. In this case, the patient`s epilepsy episodes from his first year of life had been ignored and separated from the entity of SWS by his physicians, which led to delayed treatment. This case illustrates the importance of careful examination of patients of any age with hemangiomas in the trigeminal nerve with concomitant episodes of epilepsy. In such cases, there should be yearly neuroimaging screenings to guaranteed early interdisciplinary interventions from the time of definite diagnosis. (Ann Dermatol 23(4) 551~553, 2011)

Acetylated starch-based biodegradable materials with potential biomedical applications as drug delivery systems

Maize starch acetates (SA) were prepared by acetyl esterication with adegree of substitution from 1.31 to 2.40, and bovine serum albumin was used as a model drug. Forin-vitrodrug release assays, the starch-based polymer was incubated in simulated gastric uid, simulated intestinal uid and simulated colonic uid, respectively. The resistantstarch content and swelling property of maize starch were increased by acetylation, which retarded its enzymatic degradation. Drugfor a potential drug delivery carrier for colon-targeting biomacromolecule drugs.

The paper presents the motion editor for the robotic movement in the study. The Motion Editor can edit all motions which we want to need. This method is easy when the beginners edit to motions of robots. And let them have interesting in robot control. This paper proposes two methods to edit movements. First, we edit the robot's movement in VB environment, and then we use the Motion Editor to make it. Finally, we compared merit and defect with two methods. Indeed, it is convenient when we use the Motion Editor.
