        Chronic neutrophilic leukemia(CNL) is a very rare myeloproliferative disease, characterized by sustained mature neutrophilic leukocytosis with granulocytic bone marrow infiltration, high NAP(neutrophilic alkaline phosphatase) score and absence of philadelphia chromosome, It is frequently accompanied by hepatosplenomegaly, elevated serum vitamin B_12 and uric acid level. For the diagnosis of CNL, the leukemoid reaction, especially secondary to neoplasia, infection and autoimmune diseases, should be excluded. Since Tuohy's first description in 1920, more than 50 cases fullfilling the above criteria have been reported worldwide, and 4 cases in Korea. Several authors have demonstrated the defect of intracellualr killing in the mature neutrophil and this finding correlates well with the very high incidence of fatal infection, The hemorrhagic diasthesis in CNL is caused by functional abnormality of the platelet. This disease has tendency to transform to blastic crisis and acute leukemia as in other myeloproliferative disease, but characteristically shows frequent coexistence with multiple myeloma. Until now , the therapeutic trials in CNL have been disappointing. Hydroxyrea and busulfan can control hyperleukocytosis. On the basis of functional defect in neutrophil, alpha-2b-interferon has been tried and several reports have demonstrated the clinical and functional effect of interferon on CNL. CNL is very rate hematologic disease and there are few report about general aspect of disorder. We report here a typical CNL case presenting with splenomegaly and leukocytosis with a review of the literature.

        효소적 가수분해를 이용한 청각으로부터 생리활성 물질의 추출 및 가수분해물의 생리활성

        본 연구에서는 청각으로부터 생리활성물질을 추출하기 위해서 친환경적인 효소적 방법을 이용하여, 이들 효소 가수 분해물의 TPC, TFC, 항산화 활성, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) 저해 활성 및 항염증 활성을 측정하였다. 청각의 단백질 및 탄수화물 가수분해물의 TPC는 TFC보다 높은 함량을 나타내었으며, 단백질 가수분해물이 탄수화물 가수 분해물보다 높은 TPC를 나타내었다. 청각 가수분해물의 항산화 활성은 DPPH radical 소거 활성으로 측정하였고, 단백질 가수분해물에서는 Flavourzyme 가수분해물이 활성이 높았고, 탄수화물 가수분해물에서는 Promozyme 가수분해물이 높은 DPPH radical 소거 활성을 나타내었다. 따라서 두가지 가수분해물을 이용하여 hydrogen peroxide 소거능, Fe²? 킬레이팅 및 reducing power를 측정한 결과 두 가수분해물 모두 우수한 항산화 활성을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다. 또한, hydroxyl radical로 유도된 DNA 손상을 효과적으로 억제하였다. AChE 저해 활성에서는 Flavourzyme 및 Dextrozyme 가수분해물이 각각 우수한 AChE 저해 활성을 나타내었다. 청각 가수분해물의 RAW264.7 세포주에 대한 세포독성을 검토한 결과 세포독성을 나타내지 않았으며, lipopolysaccharide(LPS)로 유도된 nitric oxide(NO) 생성 억제능에서는 모든 가수분해물이 유의적(p<0.05)으로 NO의 생성을 억제하였다. We extracted bioactive materials from Codium fragile by enzymatic hydrolysis using four different proteases (Alcalase, Flavourzyme, Neutrase, and Protamex) and seven different carbohydrases (amyloglucosidase (AMG), Celluclast, Dextrozyme, Maltogenase, Promozyme, Termamyl, and Viscozyme), and evaluated their biological activities such as antioxidant, anti-acetylcholinesterase (AChE), and anti-inflammatory effects. All enzymatic hydrolysates showed good DPPH radical scavenging capacities, in particular, Flavourzyme and Promozyme hydrolysates possessed the highest activity. The two hydrolysates also exhibited strong hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity, Fe²? chelating activity, and reducing power in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, the two hydrolysates effectively protected DNA damage induced by hydroxyl radical by measuring the conversion of supercoiled DNA to the open circular DNA. All enzymatic hydrolysates also showed high anti-AChE inhibitory activities in a dose-dependent manner, and did not showed any significant cytotoxicity on RAW264.7 cells (p<0.05). In addition, the enzymatic hydrolysates significantly (p<0.05) inhibited lipopolysaccharide inducednitric oxide production on RAW264.7 cells. These results suggest that the enzymatic extracts from Codium fragile would be good source as an ingredient of functional foods.

        대학생의 창의적 특성, 창의적 성취의도 및 창의융합역량 간의 관계에서 창의적 가정환경의 매개효과

        본 연구의 목적은 창의적 특성(창의적 성격, 창의적 리더십)이 가정환경을 매개하여 미래사회에서 요구되는 역량인 대학생의 창의적 성취의도와 창의융합역량에 미치는 영향 관계를 밝히는 데 있다. 창의적 특성(창의적 성격, 창의적 리더십)은 잠재변인으로, 창의적 가정환경은 매개변인으로, 그리고 창의적 성취의도와 창의융합역량을 종속변인으로 하여 분석하였다. 연구대상은 서울과 수도권 대학에 재학 중인 750명의 대학생이었으며, 5가지 변인을 측정하기 위하여 신뢰도와 타당도가 입증된 체크리스트를 사용하였다. 데이터 수집 기간은 2019년 4월 20일부터 2019년 5월 20일까지였고, 750명의 데이터 중 불성실한 5부를 제외하고 최종 745명의 데이터를 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0과 AMOS 22.0을 이용하여 통계 처리하였고, 기술통계량, 왜도와 첨도, 신뢰도를 산출하였으며, 상관관계, 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석 및 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping)을 통한 매개효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 창의적 특성(창의적 성격, 창의적 리더십), 창의적 가정환경, 창의적 성취의도, 창의융합역량 간에는 정적 상관이 나타나, 잠재변인, 매개변인과 종속변인 간에 상관관계가 있음이 확인되었다. 또한 잠재변인이 종속변인에 미치는 직접효과와 매개효과도 확인되었다. The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effect of creative home environment in the influence of creative traits (creative personality, creative leadership) of university students on creative achievement intention and creative confluence competency. For this purpose, 750 university students attending in Seoul and Gyeonggi area were participated. To measure each variable, 5 kinds of checklist(creative personality, creative leadership, creative home environment, creative achievement intention, creativity confluence competency) were used. The data were collected from April 20, 2019 to May 20, 2019, and the final 745 data were analyzed except the inappropriate data. The collected data were statistically processed using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0, and the analysis calculated descriptive statistics, skewness, kurtosis, and reliability, and verified the mediating effect through correlation, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and bootstrapping. As a result of this study, there was a positive correlation between creative traits(creative personality, creative leadership), creative home environment, creative achievement, and creative confluence competence, and it was confirmed that there was a correlation between potential variables, mediating variables and dependent variables. Also, the direct effect and mediating effect of latent variables on dependent variables were confirmed.

        창의융합역량, 창의적리더십이 자기주도학습력에 미치는 영향

        본 연구에서는 창의성이 강조되는 시대적 상황에 맞추어 대학생의 창의융합역량과 창의적리더십이 자기주도학습력에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 하였다. 서울의 S대학에서 16주차의 온라인 자기주 도학습 수업을 수강하는 대학생 280명을 대상으로 하여 창의융합역량과 창의적리더십의 상관관계가 어떠한지, 자기주도적학습력에 창의융합역량과 창의적리더십역량이 중요하게 작용하는 지 등을 알기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이에 따라 연구대상 학생 280명에게 창의융합능력검사, 창의적리 더십검사, 자기주도적학습력검사를 실시한 후 이를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 창의융합역량과 창의적리 더십, 자기주도적학습력 간의 상관관계와 영향관계를 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 미래사회에서 요구 되고 있는 핵심역량으로서 창의융합역량과 창의적 리더십 및 자기주도학습력을 향상시키기 위하여세 변인을 연계할 수 있는 교과과정을 개발하여 운영한다면 효과적이 될 수 있을 것이다. In this study, the researcher tried to investigate the impact of creative convergence competency and creative leadership on self-directed learning ability of university students. The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between creative convergence competency and creative leadership, and whether creative convergence competency and creative leadership competencies play an important role in self-directed learning. As a result, 280 students were tested for creative convergence competency, creative leadership test, and self-directed learning ability test. Consequentially, we were able to confirm the correlation and influence between creative convergence competency, creative leadership, and self-directed learning ability. Therefore, it will be effective to develop and operate a curriculum that can link three variables in order to improve creative convergence competency, creative leadership and self-directed learning ability as core competencies required in future society.

        식물 근권토양에서 분리한 수지상균근균

        In this study, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) were isolated and cultivated from rhizospheres of various plants in Korea. Five species belonging to four genus were identified based on spore morphology and 18S rDNA sequence analysis: Acaulospora cavernata Claroideoglomus luteum, Diversispora aurantium, D. trimurales, Rhizophagus irregularis. These fungal species have not been cultivated or reported to date in Korea, Morphological description and phylogenetic analysis for each species were presented. This result could be useful for research of AMF diversity in Korea.

      • Novel pendrin inhibitor attenuates lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury in mice

        Background: Pendrin is encoded by SLC26A4 and its mutation leads to congenital hearing loss. Additionally, pendrin is up-regulated in inflammatory airway diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, allergic rhinitis, and asthma. In this study, the effects of a novel pendrin inhibitor, YS-01, were investigated in an LPS-induced acute lung injury (ALI) mice model, and the mechanism underlying the effect of YS-01 was examined. Methods: LPS (10 mg/kg) was intranasally instilled in wild type (WT) and pendrin-null mice. Lung injury parameters were assessed in the lung tissue and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). Pendrin levels in the BALF of 41 pneumonia/ARDS patients and 25 control (solitary pulmonary nodule) patients were also measured. Results: LPS instillation induced lung injury in WT mice but not in pendrin-null mice. YS-01 treatment dramatically attenuated lung injury and reduced BALF cell counts and protein concentration after LPS instillation in WT mice. Proinflammatory cytokines and NF-κB activation were suppressed by YS-01 treatment in LPS-induced ALI mice. However, the protective effects of pendrin inhibitor lost after SCN- instillation. Furthermore, pendrin expression was upregulated in pneumonia/ARDS patient compared to that in control patient BALF (mean, 24.86 vs. 6.83 ng/mL, p < 0.001). Conclusions: A novel Pendrin inhibitor, YS-01, suppressed lung injury in LPS-induced ALI mice and our data provide a new strategy for the treatment of inflammatory airway diseases including sepsis-induced ALI.

        관상동맥 조영술 후 체위변경이 불편감과 출혈에 미치는 효과

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of position change on discomfort and bleeding in patients undergone coronary angiography with a vascular device and required bed-rest. Method: This study utilized nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design. Data were collected from 118 inpatients after coronary angiography and stayed in general ward at Y hospital in Seoul, from June 5 to August 12, 2008. After coronary angiography, position change was performed to the experimental group who consisted of 59 patients. They stayed in supine position just after angiography and then head-up position with 15 degrees was applied 1 hour later. After that, they could change the position alternatively into lateral position with leg down and supine position. The control group was positioned keeping the affected leg immobile with supine position for 4 hours. Results: The experimental group reported significantly more comfortable than control group after position change. There were no significant differences in the grades of bleeding or hematoma at puncture site between the two groups. Conclusion: The position change in patients undergone angiography could be applied without any harm such as bleeding or hematoma, but effective in reducing back pain and subjective patients' discomforts.

      • Triggering Receptor Expressed on Myeloid Cells 2 (TREM2) Promotes Adipogenesis and Diet-Induced Obesity

        <P>Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2 (TREM2) is known to be involved in the anti-inflammatory response and osteoclast development. However, the role of TREM2 in adipogenesis or obesity has not yet been defined. The effect of TREM2 on adipogenesis and obesity was investigated in TREM2 transgenic (TG) mice on a high-fat diet (HFD). To block TREM2 signaling, a neutralizing fusion protein specific for TREM2 (TREM2-Ig) was used. TG mice were much more obese than wild-type mice after feeding with an HFD, independent of the quantity of food intake. These HFD-fed TG mice manifested adipocyte hypertrophy, glucose and insulin resistance, and hepatic steatosis. The expression of adipogenic regulator genes, such as peroxisome proliferator–activated receptor γ and CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein α, was markedly increased in HFD-fed TG mice. Additionally, HFD-fed TG mice exhibited decreased Wnt10b expression and increased GSK-3β (glycogen synthase kinase-3β)–mediated β-catenin phosphorylation. In contrast, the blockade of TREM2 signaling using TREM2-Ig resulted in the inhibition of adipocyte differentiation in vitro and a reduction in body weight in vivo by downregulating the expression of adipogenic regulators. Our data demonstrate that TREM2 promotes adipogenesis and diet-induced obesity by upregulating adipogenic regulators in conjunction with inhibiting the Wnt10b/β-catenin signaling pathway.</P>
