        Interleukin-2 (IL-2) induces T cell proliferation in an autocrine manner and provides a means by which antigen triggered T cells can be clonally expanded in vitro. During the following activation, the activity of IL-2 is mediated by specific high affinity IL-2 binding membrane receptors which are expressed shortly after activation. In this process, a 42 KD-fragment (soluble IL-2R) is continuously cleaved off and circulates as a soluble marker of T lymphocyte activation. Elevated level of soluble IL-2R has been identified in the serum of patients with malignant autoimmune and allergic disorders, systemic parasitic infection, undergoing graft versus host disease, acute or chronic lymphocytic leukemia and HIV-infection. ADA (adenosine deaminase) completes the process of differentiation of T cell and is essential for progression of T cell maturation. Therefore level of ADA is to correlated with magnitude of T cell immune response. The fact that expression of sIL-2R and ADA activity increases in peripheral blood T-lymphocytes of patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis suggests that T cell activation might have a major role in the pathogenesis of pulmonary tuberculosis. In order to evaluate the T cell immune response in pulmonary tuberculosis, we measured the serum concentration of sIL-2R and ADA activity in 17 patients with current pulmonary tuberculosis, 10 chronic inactive pulmonary tuberculosis, 10 as normal controls. (1) Current pulmonary tuberculosis had significantly higher levels of sIL-2R (237.24±95.47)when compared with those of inactive tuberculosis (78.6±11.06). and the control (68.17±15.4) group. (2) ADA activity in current pulmonary tuberculosis was significantly increased (34.41±20.63) when compared with those of inactive tuberculosis (24.7±14.36) and control (17.65± 5.94) group. (3) There was good correlation between sIL-2R concentration and ADA activity in serum in current pulmonary tuberculosis group. (4) sIL-2R concentration and ADA activity was decreased significantly 6 months after anti-tuberculosis drug medication. In conclusion, sIL-2R concentration and ADA activity in serum in current pulmonary tuberculosis group was increased when compared with those of inactive pulmonary tuberculosis and the control group. By the way, T cell mediated immune response was enhanced in current pulmonary tuberculosis, but in inactive chronic pulmonary tuberculosis who had treated by antituberculosis drug medication, the concentration of sIL-2R and ADA activity was nearly normal.

      • 대관령의 일조시간을 이용한 월별 일사량의 추정

        The monthly mean daily global solar radiation and sunshine duration, have been employed in this study to develop correlation model for Daegwallyeong during 2011. The corresponding monthly value of extraterrestrial solar radiation and possible duration of sunshine are calculated for Daegwallyeong meteorological data. Forecasting performance parameters such as coefficient of determination (R2), mean bias error (MBE) and root mean square error (RMSE) are presented as analyzed for the model. The model with multi-linear regression has the highest R2 value of 0.95 and average MBE and RMSE values of −0.11 MJ/m2day and 1.63 MJ/m2day, respectively. The model exhibited negative MBE which shows that the model resulted in underestimation of the global solar radiation relative to the meteorological measured value. The equation could be employed in the estimation of solar radiation at Daegwallyeong, other locations with similar meteorological characteristics.

        Korean vs. Western Exercise Capacity Nomograms for Korean Patients With Cardiovascular Disease

        Background: Exercise capacity is known to be an independent predictor of cardiovascular events and mortality. However, most previous studies were based on Western populations. Further study is warranted for Asian patients according to ethnic or national standards. We aimed to compare prognostic values of Korean and Western nomograms for exercise capacity in Korean patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD). Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, we enrolled 1,178 patients (62 ± 11 years; 78% male) between June 2015 and May 2020, who were referred for cardiopulmonary exercise testing in our cardiac rehabilitation program. The median follow-up period was 1.6 years. Exercise capacity was measured in metabolic equivalents by direct gas exchange method during the treadmill test. The nomogram for exercise capacity from healthy Korean individuals and a previous landmark Western study was used to determine the percentage of predicted exercise capacity. The primary endpoint was the composite of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE; all-cause death, myocardial infarction, repeat revascularization, stroke and hospitalization for heart failure). Results: A multivariate analysis showed that the risk of primary endpoint was more than double (hazard ratio [HR], 2.20; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.10–4.40) in the patients with lower exercise capacity (< 85% of predicted) by Korean nomogram. The lower exercise capacity was one of the strong independent predictors along with left ventricular ejection fraction, age, and level of hemoglobin. However, the lower exercise capacity by Western nomogram could not predict the primary endpoint (HR, 1.33; 95% CI, 0.85–2.10). Conclusion: Korean patients with CVD with lower exercise capacity have higher risk of MACE. Considering inter-ethnic differences in cardiorespiratory fitness, the Korean nomogram provides more suitable reference values than the Western nomogram to determine lower exercise capacity and predict cardiovascular events in Korean patients with CVD.

        최근 모바일 기기의 발전으로 사용자의 위치를 수집하고 분석하는 방법들이 연구되고 있다. 궤적연관규칙 기반 알고리즘은 사용자의 궤적을 의미를 기반으로 군집화 해서 분석하는 방법을 통해 사람들의 특성을 파악하며, 사용자의 패턴추출 및 궤적 예측 응용에 사용 된다. 해당 알고리즘을 수행하기 위해서는 사용자의 타모요로그를 분석하여 Stay Point를 추출하는 과정이 선행되어야 한다. 기존의 Stay Point 추출 방법은 실내와 실외의 Stay Point를 구분하지 못하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 실내에서 머무른 지점만을 추출하는 Stay Point를 제안한다.

        국가대표 여자 소프트볼 선수의 타격 시 배트 컨트롤에 따른 운동학적 비교

        이 연구는 여자 국가대표 소프트볼 선수들의 의도적인 타구 방향 컨트롤에 따른 스윙 동작을 분석함으로써 작전 수행능력의 향상과 보다 정교한 스윙 동작을 완성시키기 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 연구 대상은 여자 국가대표 소프트볼 선수 3명으로 선정하였다. 피칭머신에서 80km/h로 투구되는 직구를 지도자가 요구하는 방향(좌, 우)으로 타격을 실시하였으며 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 타격 동작을 수행하는 동안 Pre Impact(P1) 구간에서는 LD동작이 Post Impact(P2) 구간에서는 RD동작이 보다 긴 소요시간을 나타냈고 전체 소요시간은 RD동작이 LD동작보다 짧은 소요시간을 나타냈다. 신체중심 좌우속도는 LD동작 시 모든 시점에서 신체중심 속도가 느린 것으로 나타났고 전후속도는 RD동작이 LD동작에 비해 신체중심을 후방으로 빠르게 움직이면서 테이크백 동작을 하는 것으로 나타났지만, 임팩트 시점에서는 LD동작이 RD동작에 비해 신체중심을 전방으로 빠르게 이동시키는 것으로 나타났다. 수직속도는 임팩트 시점에서 LD동작이 RD동작에 비해 움직임이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 임팩트 시 배트 속도는 LD동작이 RD동작보다 느린 것으로 나타났지만, 최대속도와 발현시점은 LD동작이 RD동작보다 빠른 것으로 나타났다. TSA는 RD동작이 LD동작보다 작은 관절 각도를 나타낸 반면 TTA의 경우 LD동작이 RD동작보다 큰 관절 각도를 나타냈다. XFA는 LC에서 RD동작이 LD동작에 비해 상체와 하체의 꼬임이 큰 것으로 나타났고, BI에서는 LD동작의 경우 RD동작 보다 회전을 제어하는 것으로 나타났다. 이후 EF에서 또한 RD동작이 LD동작에 비해 큰 회전 각도를 나타냈다. This study aims to provide basic data for improving operational capability and for completing more sophisticated swing motion by analyzing swing motion depending on the elite softball players` intentional control of ball direction. For the purposes of this study, 3-D motion analysis was conducted through high-speed filming based on three elite female softball players. Variables were consisted of temporal, joint angle, Center of Mass (CM) & bat velocity by each event & phase. The results were as follows. Left Direction (LD) showed longer turnaround time in P1 and Right Direction (RD) showed longer turnaround time in P2 while conducting bat motion, and RD showed shorter turnaround time than LD in total turnaround time. About the CM transverse velocity, the CM for LD showed slow speed in all phases, and about the anteroposterior velocity, RD showed faster take back motion of the CM to the rear than LD but the CM for LD showed faster ahead than RD in the impact phase. About the vertical velocity, LD showed bigger motion than RD in the impact phase. About the batting velocity for impact, LD showed slower than RD, and about maximum velocity and revelation phase, LD showed faster than RD. About TSA, RD showed smaller joint angle than LD, but about TTA, LD showed bigger joint angle than RD. About XFA, RD showed bigger twist of upper and lower body than LD in LC, and LD controlled rotation more than RD in BI. After that, RD showed bigger rotation angle than LD in EF.

        The Influence of Transmission Reduction by Mask Haze Formation in ArF Lithography

        The line width has been gradually reduced to enhance the integration of semiconductor devices. As minimum line widths have shrunk, the exposure wavelength has also progressively shrunk. The exposure wavelengths have been reduced progressively from 436 nm to 365 nm to 248 nm and to 193 nm. This shrinkage of the exposure wavelength has caused some serious problems. One of the problems is the growth of defects in the reticle during the process. Such defects in the reticle are called haze. Haze is formed around the pellicle on the quartz side of the mask and on the chrome side of the mask. In this investigation, mask haze is intentionally formed on the backside of a mask by using 193 nm laser irradiation. The mask thickness is measured by using atomic force microscopy and spectroscopic ellipsometry. We investigated the simulated critical dimension value and the throughput by using Solid-E of Sigma-C for each mask. This paper will use simulations to describe the relationship between the transmittance and haze formation, the effect of haze on the process latitude, and throughput reduction due to haze formation. This study will lead to an understanding of the impact of possible limitations of haze transmission on the imaging performance of each mask.

        마이크로파 전력전송시스템의 프로토타입 설계 및 구현

        본 논문에서는 마이크로파를 이용하는 무선 전력전송시스템의 간단한 구성과 측정한 동작 특성을 제시한다. 마이크로파 전력전송시스템은 건물 안, 회의실과 같은 좁은 공간내에서 저전력을 이동 단말 기기에 공급하는 것을 목 표로 한다. 실험실 수준에서 프로토타입 시스템의 제작 및 측정이 용이하도록 각 구성 회로 소자들을 직접 설계 및 제작, 측정하였는데, 마이크로파 발진기, 고출력증폭기, 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나, 저역통과여파기, 검파 및 정류회 로이다. 마이크로파 무선전력전송 시스템은 중심주파수 2.4GHz에서 고정 전력 29.3dBm을 생성하여 전송하고, 수신측 패치 안테나를 수신한 전력을 정류기를 통해서 DC 전력으로 변환한다. 두 안테나간 이격 거리에 따라 측정되는 DC 전압값의 차이를 제시하고, 각 거리별로 수신측에 전달되는 DC전력량이 서로 다름을 측정값으로 제시한다. This paper describes the system configuration and measured performances of a wireless power transmission system which utilizes microwave. The technically final target of this system is to provide DC power to various mobile terminals within limited spaces such as buildings, conference rooms, and so on. The prototype system is built using in-house designed and fabricated circuits such as microwave oscillator, high power amplifier, microstrip patch antenna, low pass filter, and detector/rectifier. The fixed RF power of 29.3dBm at 2.4GHz is produced from the high power amplifier and transmitted through the transmitting antenna, while the received RF power at the receiving antenna is transformed into DC power through the detector/rectifier. The measured change of DC voltage according to the distance between transmitting and receiving antenna is described.
