Lim Jimin,Paek Jin Hyuk,Shin Hyeong Chan,Park Woo Yeong,Jin Kyubok,Choe Misun,Han Seungyeup,Kim Yaerim 대한백신학회 2024 Clinical and Experimental Vaccine Research Vol.13 No.1
In the context of the massive spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the development of a COVID-19 vaccine is urgently needed. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has been widely applied across global populations. Herein, we report a case of acute interstitial nephritis with acute kidney injury in a young healthy subject after administration of the COVID-19 vaccine. A 20-year-old man was admitted with abdominal discomfort and nausea. He had received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine 6 days before. At 9 days after vaccination, his kidney function was decreased, with serum creatinine levels of 1.8 mg/dL. Even with supportive care with hydration, his kidney function worsened, and he underwent a kidney biopsy. The pathology findings revealed diffuse interstitial infiltration of inflammatory cells, predominantly comprising lymphocytes, with preservation of the glomerulus. No abnormal findings were noted by immunofluorescence or electron microscopy. Based on a diagnosis of drug-related acute interstitial nephritis, we treated the patient with high-dose prednisolone. After administration of prednisolone, kidney function slowly improved. A close linkage between COVID-19 vaccination and acute interstitial nephritis should be considered in the clinic, despite the low incidence.
식행동, 식생활 환경을 반영한 청소년의 식생활·영양 실천 평가 항목 개발
임지민(Jimin Lim),서혜지(Hye Ji Seo),오지은(Jieun Oh) 한국영양학회 2024 Journal of Nutrition and Health Vol.57 No.1
Purpose: A comprehensive evaluation item was developed to assess adolescent dietary habits and nutritional practices, considering food intake, eating behaviors, and food culture, such as social support and food environment. Methods: The 59 candidate items of the evaluation checklist were obtained based on the results of the eighth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data, Korea Dietary Reference Intakes, dietary guidelines for adolescents, Youth Risk Behavior Survey data, national nutrition policies and dietary guidelines, and literature reviews. Four hundred and three middle and high school students residing in metropolitan areas participated in a survey using the 58-item checklist, which was selected through expert evaluation and content validity ratio analysis. The construct validity of the assessment tool for the quality of adolescent diets was assessed by exploratory factor analyses to determine if the checklist items were organized properly and whether the responses to each item were distributed adequately. Results: The Bartlett sphericity test was significant for each area (p <0.001), and the eigen values were greater than one. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin and cumulative proportions by areas were food intake (0.765 and 56.8%, respectively), eating behaviors (0.544 and 64.8%, respectively), and food environment (0.699 and 62.4%, respectively). Twenty-two checklists were determined for the final evaluation items for the adolescents’ dietary habits and nutritional practices and were categorized into three distinct factors: food intake (10 items), eating behaviors (4 items), and food environment (8 items). Conclusion: The evaluation items for adolescent dietary habits and nutritional practices is a useful checklist for easily and quickly assessing the dietary qualities and reflecting Korean adolescents and their food environmental factors related to a sustainable diet.
Sustainability Made Possible by Documentation : Exploring Assemble’s Granby Four Streets (2013)
Jimin Yoon,Shan Lim 국제문화기술진흥원 2021 International Journal of Advanced Culture Technolo Vol.9 No.4
Since the late 20th century, various projects in the public domain where local communities and art organizations collaborate have been attempted in miscellaneous ways. In terms of anticipating an active attitude of the community, socially engaged project focuses on proactively changing everyday life and environment of people. An art collective, Assemble who won the Turner Prize in 2015 for one of their projects named Granby Four Streets (2013) has been admitted as an exemplary of this phenomenon, and it appears frequently in discussions about community-led projects. We investigate Granby Four Streets, as well as the documentation formed by the perspective of third parties based on the surveillance and criticism aspects. It asserts that the limitation of socially engaged projects that are kept ephemerally and easily forgotten could be overcome with the concept of documentation and its practice.
Smart CMOS Image Sensor With High SBR and Subpixel Resolution for Light-Section-Based Range Finding
Jimin Cheon,Youngcheol Chae,Dongsoo Kim,Seunghyun Lim,Inhee Lee,Hyoung-Ki Lee,Dong Jo Kim,Gunhee Han IEEE 2009 IEEE transactions on electron devices Vol.56 No.11
<P>Light-section (LS)-based range finders are commonly used for obstacle recognition in home service robots and autonomous vehicles. This paper proposes a smart CMOS image sensor for LS-based range finding. The proposed sensor can detect the laser light, even under very strong ambient-illumination levels by using a multiple-capture frame-correlated double sampling (F-CDS), which is realized with an inverter-based switched-capacitor F-CDS accumulator. The proposed sensor also includes on-chip winner-take-all circuits that significantly reduce the software and hardware complexity of interpolation for the subpixel resolution. The prototype chip was fabricated using a 0.35-mum CMOS process. The measurement results show that the proposed sensor can detect a laser line with an intensity that is 56.5 dB lower than that of the ambient illumination, providing a spatial resolution of plusmn0.16 pixels.</P>
Correlation method for high speed size determination of nanoparticles using ICP-MS
Jimin Shim,Y. H. Park,H. B. Lim(임흥빈) 한국분석과학회 2021 학술대회논문집 Vol.2021 No.11
ICP-MS has a lot of potential to detect nanoparticles owing to its outstanding capability for reliable quantification, size distribution and particle concentration. Recently developed single particle ICP-MS (sp-ICP-MS) has been demonstrated remarkable performance to various fields with limited applications. The limitations are clear in the viewpoints of analytical figures-of-merits, i.e., lack of reliable information such as reproducible size distribution, particularly, for the sizes near quantification limit and low particle concentration, and requirement of many parameters to be experimentally determined or assumed. And those eventually make practical application difficult. In this concept, the size estimation model was recently developed in our lab and showed excellent demonstration for the nanoparticles of NIST standard Au, and SiO₂. The model established the correlation of the integrated area of the peak to the cubic of particle radius through the data treatment based on Window Peak Selection and Gauss Fitting. Since the model greatly relies on the trueness of the correlation curve, sample preparation, peak selection, and the fittings are carefully controlled throughout the data handling process. Finally, iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) nanoparticle was studied for further proof and practical application to semiconductor process. In summary, the developed method showed reliable performance for high speed analysis of nanoparticles which enable to do on-line monitoring of nanoparticles in the various manufacturing processes.

To perform reliability analysis and reliability based design for mechanical systems with correlated input variables, multivariate statistical modeling is required. Most multivariate statistical modeling methods are performed assuming a specific type of joint distribution using copulas. In engineering problems with limited data, since the true model has various types of correlation such as multimodal distribution, more flexible and reliable multivariate statistical modeling method is needed. In this study, various types of true models are assumed and multivariate statistical modeling methods combining with marginal and joint distribution modeling methods, Bayes-SSM, Bayesebd and MKDE, were proposed. Through statistical simulations and reliability analysis examples, estimation accuracies and probabilities of failure according to the number of data are compared and an appropriate statistical modeling method is proposed.
