        The main purpose of seismic isolated structure which isolates the main structure from the ground is to protect a structure from the damages due to excessive vibrations by reducing the earthquake- induced responses in the structure. Various seismic isolation systems to meet this requirement have been proposed by many investigators, recently. In this paper we study the wind-induced dynamic behavior of structures supported on seismic isolation systems with the objective of understanding why and under what conditions isolation is effective through investigating some parameters.

        By impproving the educational program of the Department of Architectural Engineering and studying the theory of learning and the applied method necessary for the development of nation and society, we should develop a satisfying course of education to meet the demand and skill in the industralized society for the purpose of cultivating men of baility with great personalities and creative minds. Therefore, this study focused on classifying several kinds of occupations in the prart of architectured related to what graduates from the department of Architectural Engineering go with into the society. Accordingly after choosing some works adequate to each occupation by the proposed curricula, we tried to establish the scope of education and courses corresponding to the jobs and thus and develop a satisfying curriculum.

      • 프리캐스트용 고성능 콘크리트의 내구특성 검토

        포장용 콘크리트는 열악한 환경조건에 의해 손상을 받지 않을 정도의 충분한 내구성을 가지고 있어야 한다. 포장 콘크리트는 실질적으로 겨울철에 제설제로 인한 동해를 받는 열악한 환경에 놓이기 때문에 동결-융해에 대한 손실을 쉽게 받을 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 폴리프로필렌 섬유를 혼입한 포장 콘크리트의 내구특성을 검토하여 현장적용가능성을 검토하기 위하여 섬유종류, 섬유혼입율, 콘크리트 배합종류를 주요 실험변수로 하여 실내시험을 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 폴리프로필렌 섬유보강 콘크리트의 압축강도시험을 통하여 강도특성을 분석하고 박 저항성 시험을 통하여 내구특성을 분석하였다. 박리저항성 시험은 국내에서 제설제로 사용하고 있는 4%의 염화칼슘을 콘크리트시편 표면에 유지시켜 동결-융해 사이클을 진행시켜 매5사이클마다 겉보기 등급과 무게변화를 측정하였다. 그 결과, 압축강도는 섬유 혼입율이 증가할수록 증가하였으며, 망사형 섬유보다는 단사형 섬유가 강도증진에 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다. 박리저항성은 섬유의 혼입율이 증가할수록 모든 배합에서 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 무게 변화는 모든 배합에서 단사형 섬유와 망사형 섬유 모두 혼입율이 증가할수록 무게 손실량이 섬유를 혼입하지 않은 시험편에 비해 1.85∼27.5%로 감소하는 것으로 나타나 박리저항성 증진에 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다. 폴리프로필렌 섬유보강 콘크리트의 강도특성의 내구특성을 분석한 결과 고속도로 배합인 경우 단사형 섬유와 망사형 섬유 모두 혼입율 0.10%에서 강도와 내구성 증진효과가 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 강도특성과 내구특성을 분석한 결과, 내구특성이 보통 콘크리트보다 내구특성이 우수하여 현장적용이 가능한 것으로 나타났다. Pavement concrete subjected to severe environmental condition may be vulnerable to frost attack practically where de-icing chemicals are used. This study focused on the investigation of durability characteristics of pavement concrete incorporating polypropylene fibers and application feasibility of these into the pavements of local roads and highway. A series of labortory tests were performed with main experimental variable such as fiber types, fiber contents and type of concrete mix. The test of compressive strength was executed as primary tests, before the durability tests such as a scaling resistance were performed. De-icing salt resistance test was progressed by recycling freeze and thaw in the presence of a 4% calcium chloride solution. The deteriorated surfaces were rated by visual inspection and the loss weight were measured at every 5 cycles. The compressive strength of polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete increased as the fiber contents increased. The loss of weight decreased by 1.85∼27.5% compared to those of plain concrete as the fiber contents increased in the all kind of concrete mix. Thus de-icing salt scaling resistance of polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete increased as the fiber contents increased in the all concrete mix. From the results of strength and durability of polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete, it was concluded that they may be applied to the pavement of local roads and highway due to their excellent durability characteristics superior to those of plain concrete.

      • Controlling size and acidity of SAPO-34 catalyst for efficient ethylene to propylene transformation

        <P>Acidity- and size-controlled SAPO-34 zeolites were prepared via a hydrothermal method by controlling the type and ratio of the structure-directing agents (SDA) such as tetraethylammonium hydroxide (TEAOH) and/or morpholine (MP). The SAPO-34 catalysts were applied and tested for their ability to convert ethylene to propylene (ETP) directly. The propylene formation from ethylene showed a volcano-type trend with a crystal size of 0.3-13 mu m of the SAPO-34 zeolite by changing the ratio of TEAOH and MP. In addition, the propylene yield increased with an increase in the Si/(Si + P + Al) ratio from 0.042 to 0.105 and decreased at a Si/(Si + P + Al) ratio of 0.119. The results show that the proper size and acidity of the SAPO-34 catalyst with controlling the ratio of TEAOH and MP are required for an efficient ETP transformation process. The improved catalytic performance achieved while controlling the size and acidity may be related to number and strength of the active acid sites on the SAPO-34 zeolite. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V.       • Clinical Antagonistic Effect of Atipamezole in Cats Anesthetized with Tiletamine-Zolazepam and Medetomidine

        연구의 목적은 고양이에서 zoletil^(?)과 medetomidine 약물 마취 시 atipamezole의 임상적 길항 효과를 보기 위함이다. 마취를 하고 다시 회복 되는 동안에 체온, 심박수, 호흡수를 측정하였다. 이 연구에서는 12 마리의 건강한 한국 잡종 고양이를 사용하였다. 각 6마리씩 무작위로 선별하여 대조군(zoletil^(?)과 medetomidine, ZM)과 실험군(zoletil^(?), medetomidine과 길항제인 atipamezole, ZMA) 두 군으로 나누었다. 모든 고양이들은 투여 전 15분, 주사후 5분, 25분, 105분에 평가하였으며, 길항제인 atipamezole은 마취 주사 후 20분에 근육 주사 하였다. 회복 시간, 심박수, 호흡수는 두 군간 유의성이 있는 결과를 보였고 체온은 유의성을 나타내지 않았다. 두 군 모두 zoletil^(?)과 medetomidine 마취 주사 후 4분 내에 횡와 되는 결과를 보였고 마취 시간도 3시간 가까이 지속해 고양이에 있어서 이들 약물이 좋은 마취 효과가 있음을 보여 주었다. 회복 시 마취 부작용은 거의 보이지 않았다. 고양이가 마취에서 회복되어 기립 자세를 하기까지 걸리는 시간이 ZM 군에서는 210.8±45.6 시간으로 나타났고, ZMA 군에서는 154.2±21.1 시간으로 나타났다. 길항제를 투여한 ZMA 군에서 회복시간이 거의 한 시간 가까이 단축되어 ZMA군이 ZM군보다 회복이 빠르다는 결과를 보였다. 본 연구에서 atipamezole은 medetomidine-tiletamine/zolazepam으로 병용 마취된 고양이에서 유용한 회복효과를 발휘하였다. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the clinical antagonistic effect of atipamezole(0.25 mg/kg,IM) in cats anesthetized with tiletamine-zolazepam (zoletil^(?), 10 mg/kg, IM) and medetomidine (0.05 mg/kg, IM). Twelve healthy 1 year old Korean mixed breed cats were used for this study. They were 4 males and 8 females. These cats were randomly assigned to two groups. One was control group (Zoletil^(?) + medetomidine, ZM), and the other was treatment group (Zoletil^(?)+medetomidine and antagonism by atiparnezole, ZMA). All cats were examined 15 minutes before,5, 25, 65 and 105 minutes after administration of tiletarnine-zolazepam and medetomidine. Atipamezole was injected intramuscularly 20 minutes after ZM administation. Recovery time, heart rate, respiratory rate, total plasma protein and blood glucose were significantly different between ZM group and ZMA group (P < 0.05). However, rectal temperature was not significantly different between ZM group and ZMA group. Two groups were able to induce sternal recumbency within 2 minutes and lateral recumbency within 4 minutes after the anesthetics injection. Mean sternal position time (mean ± SD) was 174.0± 44.6 and 116.2 ± 27.3 minutes, and mean standing position time was 210.8 ± 45.6 and 154.2 ± 21.1 minutes in ZM and ZMA group, respectively. In these two groups, adverse effects during recovery time from anesthesia were not seen. As a result, the ZMA group had a faster recovery than the ZM group. Thus it was concluded that atipamezole could exert a useful reversal effect in cats anesthetized with rnedetornidine-tiletamine/zolazepam combination.

        The Effects of UBM and SnAgCu Solder on Drop Impact Reliability of Wafer Level Package

        In this study, we investigated the effects of UBM(Under Bump Metallization) and solder composition on the drop impact reliability of wafer level packaging. Fan-in type WLP chips were prepared with different solder ball composition (Sn3.0Ag0.5Cu, and Sn1.0Ag0.5Cu) and UBM (Cu 10 ${\mu}m$, Cu 5 ${\mu}m$\Ni 3 ${\mu}m$). Drop test was performed up to 200 cycles with 1500G acceleration according to JESD22-B111. Cu\Ni UBM showed better drop performance than Cu UBM, which could be attributed to suppression of IMC formation by Ni diffusion barrier. SAC105 was slightly better than SAC305 in terms of MTTF. Drop failure occurred at board side for Cu UBM and chip side for Cu\Ni UBM, independent of solder composition. Corner and center chip position on the board were found to have the shortest drop lifetime due to stress waves generated from impact.

        Hemorrhages are the main complications associated with oral anticoagulant therapy. Spontaneous intramural small bowel hemorrhage is considered to be a rare but clinically serious problem. The exact pathogenesis of these complications is unknown. Neither the clinical nor the laboratory and radiologic features are in themselves diagnostic of intramural hematoma, but if a patient receiving anticoagulant therapy is suspicious to have hemorrhagic complications, then radiological workup of the patient including abdominal ultrasound and a CT scan should be considered. The management of patients with proved or suspected anticoagulation associated intramural hemorrhage of the small intestine is conservative, but surgery should be contemplated if the patient's condition does not improve when the anticoagulant is withdrawn. A 75-year-old female patient who received anticoagulant therapy with warfarin due to atrial fibrillation, mitral stenosis and aortic regurgitation was admitted to our hospital because of abdominal pain. A pre-contrast abdominal CT scan revealed intramural hematoma of small intestine. After immidiate cessation of the anticoagulant and conservative treatment with transfusion, the patient was improved. Therefore, we report the clinical course of the patient and review literatures.
