To investigate the elasticity loss of toothbrush according to the strength of pressure. the shape of brushing plane and the duration of use, thirty toothbrushes of five models were used for this examination among the toothbrushes for adults which have been marketed in the Republic of Korea. After 200g/㎠. 300g/㎠, or 400g/㎠ for 1, 2 or 3 month were loaded on toothbrushes, in rolling method the effect of the duration and strength of pressure and the change of the shape of brushing plane on the elasticity loss of toothbrushes was determined using Toothbrush Stroke Testen(CHUMDAN SYSTEM, Korea). The results are as follows; 1. The elasticity loss of toothbrushes according to 200, 300, or 400g/㎠ pressure was 11.11%, 25.21%, 30.84%, respectively. The elasticity loss of toothbrushes was increased with increasing the strength of the pressure (p<0.001) 2. The elasticity loss of the toothbrushes according to 1, 2, or 3months of the duration of use was in 15.60%, 22.09%, 29.47%, respectively. The elasticity loss of the toothbrushes was increased with increasing the duration of the pressure(p<0.001). 3. The elasticity loss of toothbrushes of convex plane according to 1, 2 or 3 month of the durate of use was 10.36% 18.29% and 24.20% respectively, that of toothbrushes of flat brushing plane according to 1, 2 or 3 months of the duration was 20.08%. 25.87% and 34.74%. respectively. The elasticity loss of the toothbrushes or flat brushing plane was higer than that of convex brushing plane(p<0.05). These results show that the property of the KS is optimal according to the pressure of toothbrushing, the shape of toothbrushos and the duration of toothbrushes using must be checked, and the further studies are needed about that.

This research investigated the way of generating the flowing of water in case of artificial fluctuation of river width by the unidimensional numerical analysis in order to reconstruct vertical and expanse features of flowing, and the problem of existing numerical analysis in accordance with local enlargement and reduction of river through hydraulic model experiments with results of numerical analysis. The result revealed that when the local section change in the same river is exist, it showed 0.93m in the case of no change of local section in the hydraulic model experiments and numerical analysis, however, it presented 1.645m on the occasion of local section changes in the hydraulic model experiments and numerical analysis, In other words, there was a significant difference in the existing numerical analysis, when there was a local section change. As a result of the experimental section for the enlargement and reduction of local river width, due to the sensitive change for fluctuation of flood discharge, there was a significant difference between numerical analysis and hydraulic model experiments. In addition, the result of comparison between the enlargement and reduction of local river width confirmed that the result of numerical analysis with hydraulic model experiments showed larger generation of deviation in case of enlargement of section than in case of reduction of section.
Ranitidine, Sucralfate, Bismuth Subcitrate 복합제의 흰쥐 위궤양에 대한 치료효과

Gastric ulcer disease results when there is an imbalance between aggressive factors(acid secretion) and protective factors(mucosal defence). H_2-receptor antagonists are the most frequently used agents for treatment of gastric ulcer disease. However, use of these products should be determined by potential for adverse effects, drug interactions and cost. Ranitidine, H_2 - receptor antagonist, competitively block the H_Z-receptor on the parietal cell, causing inhibition of gastric acid secretion. Sucralfate and bismuth subcitrate coat ulcer craters and then enhance mucosal defence. Bismuth subcitrate also causes detachment of Helicobacter pylori from the gastric epithelium with subsequent lysis of the bacteria. To estimate effects of the mixture of ranitidine 20mg/kg, bismuth subcitrate 40mg/kg and sucralfate 120mg/kg on aspirin - HCl induced gastric ulcer in rats, gastric ulceration, pH, gastric secretion, free and total acidity, pepsin activity, gastric mucosal hemorrhage were investigated. Results obtained were as follow : 1) The mixture showed remarkable suppression of gastric ulceration, pH, gastric secretion, free and total acidity, pepsin activity, gastric mucosal hemorrhage compared with ranitidine alone. 2) With elapse of time, the mixture showed more increasing inhibitory effects on gastric ulceration, pH, gastric secretion, pepsin activity, gastric mucosal hemorrhage than sucralfate and bismuth subcitrate.

We have investigated the effects of hypha-water extracts (HWE), fruit body-water extracts (FWE) and cordycepin from Cordyceps militaris on serotonin release out of human platelets and human platelet aggregation. HWE and FWE inhibited the release of [^(3)H]-serotonin from human platelet stimulated by thrombin (2 U/ml) or collagen (20 ㎍/ml) in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, cordycepin, a major component of Cordyceps militaris, inhibited the human platelet aggregation induced by collagen (10 ㎍/ml) in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggest that cordycepin containing in HWE and FWE may inhibit the serotonin release by suppressing the collagen-induced human platelet aggregation. Accordingly, our data demonstrate that HWE and FWE containing much cordycepin might have antithrombotic and antimigrainous functions.
유럽의 전향적 DUR시스템 운영 및 후향적 DUR연구 추진현황

Objectives: To investigate the current drug utilization review(DUR) system in European countries and suggest direction of future development of DUR system for public healthcare in Korea. Methods: We investigated which countries carried out prospective DUR system in Europe and what kind of DUR information was provided in each country. Then, we classified European countries into three groups, countries with advanced DUR system, countries with developing DUR system, and countries without DUR system. And we investigated European Drug Utilization Research Group(EuroDURG) represented as retrospective DUR network in Europe. Results: Among 34 European countries, 14 countries established prospective DUR system. Judging from the kinds of information, Netherlands has the most developed DUR system in Europe, and following countries are Portugal, Germany, Sweden, France, and England. The most common type of information provided in all 14 countries is drug-drug interactions. But various DUR information causes ‘alert fatigue’, and some countries have made an effort to solve this problem. Retrospective DUR is performed by EuroDURG which is mainly under Northern Europe and has conducted Cross National Comparison studies and diverse projects. Conclusion: Differences and specific characteristics among European countries were identified. The strength of European countries might be applied for the successful DUR system in Korea.
