Currarino syndrome is a hereditary disease characterized by the triad of sacral agenesis, anorectal malformation, andpresacral mass. Most patients are diagnosed in childhood, and this condition rarely manifests in adulthood. In women,gynecological malformations associated with Currarino syndrome have been reported, such as bicornuate uterus,rectovaginal fistula, and septate uterus. We present a rare case of a 29-year-old woman with a suspected pelvic masswho was diagnosed with Currarino syndrome.

한국전쟁기 남북한 문학담론 기원 연구

본고는 한국 전쟁기 문학 담론의 큰 틀을 살펴보고 남한과 북한의 잡지들의 형성과정을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 전쟁기는 정치, 사회적으로 혼란스러웠고 경제적으로 부족했던 시기였기 때문에 지식인들의 자각과 그들의 실천 방법을 대중에게 전달하는 하는 일이 매우 중요한 시기였다. 잡지 매체는 대중과 정치, 사회, 경제, 문화가 하나의 영역 안에 포괄된다. 문화세계의 문예평론은 작가와 작품론을 기본으로 하고 있어 1949년 이후 남한의 문학 담론으로 자리 잡은 순수문학을 잡지 전면에 내세우고 이를 통해 순수한 문학적 가치에 대한 정체성을 드러내고 있다. 1949년 이후 사회이념이 반공을기반으로 하였는데 문화세계는 전쟁기라는 혼란스러운 상황 안에서 순수문학이앞으로 남한 문학의 주류가 될 것을 인지하고 있다. 다음으로 전선문학은 한국전쟁기 기관지 역할을, 전시문학독본은 반공교육을 위한 매체였지만 다양하게민중들과 소통해야 함을 인지하면서 좌담회, 작가와 군인, 신앙, 전쟁문학의 방향을 통해 반공뿐만 아니라 다각도로 문학의 흐름을 살펴보고 있다. 문예는 1949년 잡지를 처음 발간했을 때부터 국내에 해외 문학의 흐름을 전달하는 역할을 했다. 전쟁기 발간된 문예도 전쟁 이전과 마찬가지로 꾸준히 해외 문학을 흡수하고 있다. 해외 문학 담론에 대한 이해를 통해 현대 문학의 흐름을연구하고 ‘세계문학’을 받아들여 나가면서 국내 문학의 방향성과 본질을 찾아야한다고 본다. 전쟁기 남한의 평론을 통해 살펴볼 수 있는 것은 당면한 전쟁기 현실에 관한 이야기를 중점으로 하고 있지만, 단순히 반공에만 국한되는 것이 아니다. 문학을 기반으로 사회, 정치, 철학 등에 대해 다방면으로 이해하고 있으며 그 안에서 순수문학의 창의적인 양상이 대두될 것으로 기대하고 있다. 북한의 전쟁기 잡지는 전쟁기 북한 문학의 흐름과 사회주의 문학 건설기의 대표적인 작품을 담고 있고 게재된 평론은 당시 북한 문학의 지향을 드러내고 있다. 당정책의 선전과 소련과의 관계, 김일성을 통한 새로운 사회주의 문학의 건설이 시작되고 있음을 나타낸다. 본 연구는 남․북한의 잡지 내 평론의 심층적인 연구를 통해 한국 전쟁기에서 주목하고 있는 문학적 담론이 1950년대 문학적 기원임을 인식하고자 한다. The purpose of this article is to examine the big frame ofKorean literary discourse and to analyze the formation process ofSouth Korean and North Korean magazines. The war period waspolitically and socially confusing and economically inadequate, so itwas a very important time for the intellectuals to realize theirawareness and how to conduct them to the public. The magazinemedium encompasses the public, politics, society, economy, andculture in one area. The literary criticism of the "cultural world" is based on thewriter and the work theory. Since 1949, the literary criticism ofSouth Korea has been put on the front page of the magazine,revealing the identity of pure literary value. Since 1949, socialideology has been based on anti-communism. The "cultural world"recognizes that pure literature will become the mainstream of SouthKorean literature in the confused situation of war. Next, "War AreaLiterature" served as an institutional magazine for the Korean War,but recognizing that it should communicate with the people invarious ways, it examines the flow of literature in various ways aswell as anti-communism through discussion, writers and soldiers,faith and war literature. watching. "Literature" was the first publication of the magazine in 1949,and it was the role of transmitting the flow of overseas literature tothe country. Like the pre-war period, the "Literature" published in the war are steadily absorbing overseas literature. We must studythe flow of modern literature through understanding foreignliterature discourse and find the direction and essence of domesticliterature while accepting 'world literature'. North Korean literature magazine "Literary Art" contains therepresentative works of the North Korean literary period and thesocialist literary construction period, and the commentary on thefront shows the direction of North Korean literature at that time. We can see that the promotion of Party policy and the constructionof new socialist literature through Kim Il Sung are beginning. What can be reviewed through South Korean war periods is thestory of war reality, but it is not limited to anticommunism. Basedon the literature, she understands various aspects of society, politics,philosophy, etc. and expects creative aspects to emerge in it. North Korea's war period magazine shows the flow of NorthKorean literature during the war period and representative worksfrom the period of constructing socialist literature. It shows that thepropaganda of party policy, the relationship with the Soviet Union,and the construction of new socialist literature through Kim Il-sungare beginning. This study intends to recognize that the literary discourse thatattracted attention in the Korean War period was a literary origin inthe 1950s through an in-depth study of the criticism in themagazines of South and North Korea.

Cellular Response of Ventricular-Subventricular Neural Progenitor/Stem Cells to Neonatal Hypoxic-Ischemic Brain Injury and Their Enhanced Neurogenesis

Purpose: To elucidate the brain’s intrinsic response to injury, we tracked the response of neural stem/progenitor cells (NSPCs) located in ventricular-subventricular zone (V-SVZ) to hypoxic-ischemic brain injury (HI). We also evaluated whether transduction of V-SVZ NSPCs with neurogenic factor NeuroD1 could enhance their neurogenesis in HI. Materials and Methods: Unilateral HI was induced in ICR neonatal mice. To label proliferative V-SVZ NSPCs in response to HI, bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) and retroviral particles encoding LacZ or NeuroD1/GFP were injected. The cellular responses of NSPCs were analyzed by immunohistochemistry. Results: Unilateral HI increased the number of BrdU+ newly-born cells in the V-SVZ ipsilateral to the lesion while injury reduced the number of newly-born cells reaching the ipsilateral olfactory bulb, which is the programmed destination of migratory V-SVZ NSPCs in the intact brain. These newly-born cells were directed from this pathway towards the lesions. HI significantly increased the number of newly-born cells in the cortex and striatum by the altered migration of V-SVZ cells. Many of these newly-born cells differentiated into active neurons and glia. LacZ-expressing V-SVZ NSPCs also showed extensive migration towards the non-neurogenic regions ipsilateral to the lesion, and expressed the neuronal marker NeuN. NeuroD1+/GFP+ V-SVZ NSPCs almost differentiated into neurons in the peri-infarct regions. Conclusion: HI promotes the establishment of a substantial number of new neurons in non-neurogenic regions, suggesting intrinsic repair mechanisms of the brain, by controlling the behavior of endogenous NSPCs. The activation of NeuroD1 expression may improve the therapeutic potential of endogenous NSPCs by increasing their neuronal differentiation in HI.

수상 태양광 구조체로 사용되는 복합재료 Zn-Al-Mg alloy의 부식시험 및 수명 예측

수상태양광시스템은 강, 바다, 습지 등에 이용할 수 있으며, 최근 그 설치량이 증가되고 있다. 태양광 모듈의 보증기간은 25년으로 수상태양광에 설치되는 구조체와 부유물로 사용되는 재료 역시 태양광 모듈의 수명인 25년이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수상태양광의 구조체로 사용된 복합재료 Zn-Al-Mg alloy가 코팅된 Fe를 이용하여 가속시험을 실시하였다. 가속환경시험으로는 민물침지시험, 염수분무시험, 전기화학적 시험을 실시하였으며, 시험 전후의 중량감량에 의한 부식률을 계산하였다. 부식에 의한 재료분석으로는 전자주사현미경을 이용하여 표면 상태를 분석하였으며, X선 광전자 분광법을 이용하여 표면 산화 등을 분석하였다.

초등학교 보건교사의 문화적 역량 영향요인

The aim of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the cultural competency of elementary school nurses. Methods: Data were collected from a convenience sample of 109 school nurses who were recruited from elementary schools across three large cities in South Korea. The daata were analyzed with independent t-tests, a one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: School nurses who had experience caring for multicultural students showed a significant difference in the cultural competency (t=8.75, p=.004). Factors affecting their cultural competency were awareness of multicultural families (β=.17, p=.006) and transcultural self-efficacy (β=.69, p<.001), which explained 58.6% of the total variance. Conclusion: The findings suggest that it is necessary to provide more training and educational programs for school nurses to improve their awareness of multiculcural families, including interventions to enhance transcultural self-efficacy, in order to enhance their cultural competence and to help them provide tailored care for multicultural students with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Age-related hearing loss or presbycusis is the progressive hearing loss that affects both peripheral and central structures of the auditory system. It is characterized by increased hearing thresholds along with decrease in auditory perception. Presbycusis is permanent and irreversible, causing serious consequences both for the people with hearing impairment and for those around them. Because hearing loss in elderly is closely related with the quality of life, rehabilitation intervention through the use of hearing aids and hearing assistance technology and implementation of communication program are very important. There is a clear understanding of the importance of availability of the range of rehabilitation interventions in accordance with active involvement from the hearing impaired elderly who should be taught of self-management skills. Rehabilitation intervention should focus on optimizing availability and adherence to the rehabilitation program to truly benefit age-related hearing loss patients.
