The source of exhaustivity observed in some i/ka-marked DPs in Korean has been a point of controversy among linguists (Schütze 1996, Yoon 2004, Choi 2005, among others). In this paper, I argue that the exhaustivity is a result of movement to a functional projection outside of the vP, presumably to [Spec, FP] (cf. Kiss 1998). The proposed movement is mostly not visible at the surface, due to Korean being a head-final language. However, subjects located outside of the vP show difference in their behaviors with regards to genericity and presuppositionality (Diesing 1992), and those behaviors are observed in exhaustive i/ka-marked DPs, but not in non-exhaustive i/ka-marked DPs. That exhaustivity in Korean is attained via movement is in accordance with observation made by Kiss (1998) that identificational focus in English and German are attained via movement.

The sirocco fan is used to get low noise, and it has been applied to a lot of industry field like the heat engine, the fluid instrument power plant, the food industry, environment industry etc... because there are not problems even it is mixed with a any kind of liquid, gas, and solid. The flow characteristics in sirocco fan are investigated by PIV. The experiment using PIV measurement for Test section's flow characteristics acquired velocity distribution, Condition : when sirocco fan in automobile air controller maximum 1450RPM, and a revolution is a variation (l)950RPM, (2)l100RPM, (3) 1250RPM. The agreement a experiment shows the validity of this study and the results of this study would be useful to the engineers who design for the flow systems

Exploring Passive Haptic Factors for Immersive Virtual Reality Environment

Interacting with a virtual object with passive haptics improve sense of presence within a virtual reality environment. However, replacing every virtual object with high fidelity physical object is costly and time consuming. The present study investigated the design factors for low fidelity passive haptics with respect to the effect of presence in immersive virtual reality environment. The cases were made in space training and dentistry environment. A set of low fidelity prototype which differs in haptic properties were designed and analyzed the haptic perception and presence experience.

Case Report : Jejunocolic Fistula Associated with an Intestinal T Cell Lymphoma

Malignant fistula of the small bowel to the colon is rare and is most often due to adenocarcinoma. Small bowel lymphoma is unusual, representing less than 1 percent of all gastrointestinal malignancies. We report a case of intestinal lymphoma presenting with diarrhea and abdominal pain. A jejunocolic fistula was discovered during colonoscopy. Celiotomy revealed a large, ulcerated fistula tract between the jejunum and distal transverse colon, and pathology was consistent with peripheral T-cell lymphoma. This is a rare entity in a nonimmunocompromised individual and has not been previously described in Korea. (Gut Liver 2011;5:387-390)

Effects of Gait Training Using a Shoulder-Back Orthosis on Balance and Gait in Patients with Stroke

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out how gait training with shoulder-back assistive device affects dynamic and static balance, gait of patients with stroke and to help improve body alignment, balance, and gait ability in stroke patients. Methods: Measurements were taken of the 20 subjects before intervention without shoulder-back assistive device, after intervention with device, and follow up after an hour compared. Berg balance scale used to evaluate dynamic balance; wii balance board was used to measure static balance; and gait ability were measured by timed up and go test and 10-meter walk test. To analyze the results, a one-way repeated measures analysis of variance was implemented to compare the measurements. Results: The results showed that, after wearing the shoulder-back assistive device, the subjects’ dynamic balance statistically significantly improved; no statistically significant difference was observed in static balance, although their balance ability was enhanced; and their increase in gait ability was statistically significant. Conclusion: This study proved that gait training combined with a shoulder-back assistive device positively impacted dynamic and static balance, gait of patients with stroke.

A Study on Korean Enterprises’ Market Entry Strategies in Malaysia B2C e-Commerce Market

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 한국과 말레이시아 양국의 전자상거래 발전현황의 비교를 통하여 한국 전자상거래 업체들의 말레이시아 전자상거래 시장 진출 전략을 연구함으로써 한국과 말레이시아 전자상거래 시장의 발전에 기여하는 것이다. 특히 말레이시아에서의 한류열풍과 한국 전자상거래 시장의 포화상태의 관점에서 지금이 말레이시아 시장 진출 전략을 연구할 최적기이다. 논문구성/논리: 본 연구는 말레이시아의 전자상거래 현황과 한국의 전자상거래 현황을 비교분석하였다. 그리고 말레이시아의 전자상거래에 대한 최신 정보를 제공하고 있는 웹 사이트로부터 수집한 자료를 기반으로 한국 전자상거래 업체들의 말레이시아 시장 진출 방안을 SWOT분석 하였다. 본연구는 선행연구분석, 한국과 말레이시아 전자상거래 현황 비교분석, 한국 기업의 시장 진출 전략을 다루고 있다. 결과: SWOT분석에 의하면 한국 전자상거래 업체는 말레이시아 업체에게 노하우를 제공하고 말레이시아 정부와는 협력적인 관계를 구축하여 한국 상품을 판매하기 위한 마켓플레이스를 만드는 SO전략을 추구하는 것이 가장 현실적인 전략이 될 것이다. 그리고 한국 기업은 말레이시아 전자상거래시장에 진출하기 위한 방법으로 현지 물류업체와의 합작투자, 기진출한 한국 기업의 네트워크 활용, 현지 전자상거래 업체의 인수, 역직구사이트의 개설 등을 고려할 필요가 있다. 독창성/가치: 한국 전자상거래 업체들은 그들의 노하우를 제공함과 동시에 말레이시아의 인력을 이용하여 말레이시아 전자상거래 시장에 진입할 수 있도록 노력하여야 한다. 특히 한국 기업들은 m-commerce와 social commerce와 같은 전자상거래 유형에 초점을 맞추어야 한다. 추후 현지 시장조사를 비롯하여 소비자 및 판매자에 대한 설문조사를 실시함으로써 시장의 현황을 분석할 수 있게된다면, 쇼핑몰 업체는 물론이거니와 물류업체와 제조업체에도 말레이시아 시장으로의 진출을 위한 현실적인 전략을 제시할 수 있을 것이다. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to contribute to the development of e-Commerce markets in Korea and Malaysia by studying market entry strategies of Malaysia e-Commerce market for Korea e-commerce enterprises through the comparison of current development of e-Commerce markets in both nations. In particular, now is the best time to study the market entry strategies in view of Hanrue hot blast in Malaysia and saturation of Korean e-commerce market. Composition/Logic: This paper analyzed Malaysia e-commerce conditions and compared them with Korean conditions. The data is collected from web sites which provide latest information of Malaysia e-commerce and SWOT analysis was conducted by using the data. This paper deals with the preceding research analysis, the comparison of the current development of e-Commerce markets in both nations, Korean enterprises’ market entry strategies in Malaysia. Findings: According to SWOT analysis, SO strategy(giving know-how, building a cooperative relation with Malaysia government and making a marketplace for selling Korean products and contents) will be the most realistic strategy. Korean enterprises seek to the ways to enter the e-commerce market in Malaysia such as joint venture with logistics companies in Malaysia, networking with Korean companies entered in Malaysia, merger and acquisition of e-commerce companies in Malaysia and opening the sites for reverse direct purchase. Originality/Value: Korea e-commerce enterprises have to try to enter Malaysia e-commerce market by trading their know-how and Malaysia local workforce. Especially they have to focus on the type of e-commerce like m-commerce and social commerce. As a further study, if the market situation can be analyzed by survey it can provide more realistic conclusions to shopping mall company, logistics company and manufacturers.

Usefulness of 18F-Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography in Management of Cervical Dystonia

Objective To evaluate the usefulness of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) in the management of cervical dystonia (CD) with botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A) injection.Method Thirty two subjects with CD were included. A BoNT-A injection was provided either by clinically targeting method (group 1) or by 18F-FDG PET/CT-assisted, clinically targeting method (group 2). In group 2, selection of target muscles and dosage of BoNT-A were determined according to the increased 18F-FDG uptake, in addition to physical examination and functional anatomy. The outcomes of BoNT-A injection was compared between the two groups, in terms of the number of subjects who had reinjection before and after 6 months, the number of reinjections, the interval of reinjections, the duration to the minimal Toronto Western Spasmodic Torticollis Rating Scale (TWSTRS), the number of adverse events, the reduction rate of TWSTRS at 1-3 months and 3-6 months after injection, and the probability of reinjection-free living.Results The number of subjects who had reinjection within 6 months was significantly lower in group 2 than in group 1 (10 in group 1 vs. 3 in group 2). The reduction rate of TWSTRS after 3-6 months (37.8±15.7% of group 1 vs. 63.3±28.0% of group 2) and the probability of reinjection-free living were significantly higher in group 2 than in group 1.Conclusion These findings suggest that 18F-FDG PET/CT study could be useful in management of CD in terms of the identification of dystonic muscles if there is an increase in the 18F-FDG uptake in the cervical muscle of the images.
