      • Gryllus Bimaculatus Hydrolysates Ameliorate Tunicamycin-Inducible Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in C57BL6 Mice

        NAFLD is now widely agreed as a metabolic associated fatty liver disease. Accumulation of excess fats in the liver elevates free fatty acids as a first hit and the prolonged first hit may triggers the second hit (i.e. oxidative stress, inflammation and/or ER stress). Gryllus bimaculatus (GB) contains a great sources of protein, unsaturated fatty acids, and essential fatty acids which possesses anti-oxidative and -inflammatory properties. Therefore, we raised an extended research hypothesis that GB would prevent tunicamycin-inducible ER stress and relevant pathological consequences. Regardless of GB consumption, tunicamycin injection induced a catabolic process by decreasing serum triglycerides, cholesterols and free fatty acids, but increased an anabolic process by increasing hepatic TG accumulation. Interestingly, hepatic ApoB, a strong predictor of inflammatory status, mRNA expression was suppressed by the GB supplementation. Therefore, we logically postulated that GB would prevent second hit in NAFLD; therefore, we focused on hepatic ER stress. As our expectation, GB consumption remarkably attenuated hepatic BiP, a cytosolic chaperone protein, expression.

      • Vasa previa that cannot be classified as stereotype : A Case Report

        Vasa previa is a rare complication in which fetal blood vessels are located on fetal membranes near the internal cervical os. In general, vasa previa has been classified into two types. Type 1 occurs with a velamentous cord insertion and Type 2 occurs with bilobed or succenturiated lobe placenta. In this case, vasa previa that cannot be classified into two types was shown. A 28-year-old nulliparous woman who had conceived spontaneously was referred to our hospital at 30 weeks gestation. After referral to our hospital, Trasvaginal ultrasound examination revealed a fetal vessel near the internal cervical os that had pulsation (Figure 1A,B). Position and morphology of the placenta were normal with a marginal cord insertion. At 36 weeks gestation, Scheduled cesarean section was performed and a healty male neonate weighing 2460g was born. After delivery, fetal vessels running over the internal cervical os were seen(Figure 2). Gross finding after operation reveled a part of the membranous fetal vessels meandering(Figure 3). Severe case reports were mentioned this type of vasa previa, especially in japan. Single center study in japan, total 14 cases of vasa previa, there were 5 cases of this unusual case (in this report, named type 3 vasa previa). This results suggest that type 3 vasa previa may account for a large portion of vasa previa. ISUOG and SMFM gulideline recommend that at second-trimester, clinicians should evaluate the morphology and location of placenta and the relationship between the placenta and internal cervical os. However, no complication were found for the placenta and cord insertion, but vasa previa can be detected like our case. So clinicians should be aware that atypical vasa previa is also possible and should perform trasvaginal ultrasonography using color or pulse doppler.

        Longevity and Stress Resistant Property of 6-Gingerol from Zingiber officinale Roscoe in Caenorhabditis elegans

        In order to discover lifespan-extending compounds made from natural resources, activity-guided fractionation of Zingiber officinale Roscoe (Zingiberaceae) ethanol extract was performed using the Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) model system. The compound 6-gingerol was isolated from the most active ethyl acetate soluble fraction, and showed potent longevity-promoting activity. It also elevated the survival rate of worms against stressful environment including thermal, osmotic, and oxidative conditions. Additionally, 6-gingerol elevated the antioxidant enzyme activities of C. elegans, and showed a dose-depend reduction of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation in worms. Further studies demonstrated that the increased stress tolerance of 6-gingerol-mediated worms could result from the promotion of stress resistance proteins such as heat shock protein (HSP-16.2) and superoxide dismutase (SOD-3). The lipofuscin levels in 6-gingerol treated intestinal worms were decreased in comparison to the control group. No significant 6-gingerol-related changes, including growth, food intake, reproduction, and movement were noted. These results suggest that 6-gingerol exerted longevity-promoting activities independently of these factors and could extend the human lifespan.

        가람 이병기의 신재효 연구와 신재효 위상의 확립

        본고는 가람 이병기(李秉岐, 1891~1968)가 국문학 연구에 있어 판소리 개작가(改作家) 신재효(申在孝, 1812~1884)에 특히 지대한 관심을 보였던 것에 주목하여 가람의 신재효 연구의 실제와 이에 따라 신재효의 위상을 확립한 양상을 살폈다. 김재철, 조윤제, 김태준, 정노식 등에 의한 초기 국문학 저술들이 대체로 신재효라는 인물을 단편적으로 다루었던 것과 달리 이병기는 신재효에 대해 깊은 관심을 가지고 오랜 시간에 걸쳐 신재효 판소리 가사들을 확보하고 정리해내었다. 『가람일기』에는 이병기가 1930년대 초반부터 1950년대 후반까지의 꽤 오랜 시간 동안 신재효의 생애를 조사하는 한편 신재효의 판소리 가사를 수집 및 정리하고 그 결과 6책 분량의 『신오위장본집』을 엮어낸 과정이 상세하게 드러나 있다. 이후 이병기는 자신이 수집한 자료들을 기반으로 해 『국문학전사』, 『국문학개론』 등 국문학 논저를 저술하고 신재효 판소리 가사 중 <가루지기타령>의 교주본을 출간하면서 신재효의 존재와 그의 판소리 가사에 중요한 가치를 부여한다. 신재효에 대한 이병기의 이 같은 천착은 초기 판소리 연구에서 신재 효라는 인물의 우뚝한 위상을 확립하였으며, 이는 후대 연구자들의 판소리 연구에도 중요한 영향을 미쳤다고 할 수 있다. This thesis pays attention to Garam Lee Byong-Gi(李秉岐, 1891~ 1968)'s interest about Pansori adaptor Shin Jae-Hyo and investigates substance of Garam's study about Shin Jae-Hyo. Most of early studies about Korean literature mentioned Shin Jae-Hyo fragmentarily, but Garam collected and arranged Shin Jae-Hyo's Pansori lyrics for a long time with great interest about Shin Jae-Hyo. Garam's investigation about Shin Jae-Hyo's life and process of publishing 『ShinOwijangbonjip』 are verified minutely by records of 『Garam's Diary』 from early 1930's to late 1950's. After this, Garam wrote books about Korean literature for example 『Gukmunhakchunsa』, 『Gukmunhakgaelon』 based on research materials he had collected and annotated < Garujigitaryeong > which is one of the Shin Jae- Hyo's Pansori lyrics, and published it. Thereby Garam gave worth to Shin Jae-Hyo's existence and his Pansori lyrics. Garam's interest in Shin Jae-Hyo established Shin Jae-Hyo's status in early study about Pansori, and had an important effect on later studies of Pansori.

        야전운용제원 RAM 분석 결과를 활용한 함정 배수량과 신뢰도의 상관관계에 관한 연구

        Purpose: To examine the correlation between warship displacement–associated with total life cycle cost and warship capability–and reliability using field data Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis results. Methods: The Defense Agency for Technology and Quality recorded data on existing warships beginning in 2014. A field data RAM analysis was conducted on the data using Microsoft Excel correlation analysis and trend line. The results were analyzed to determine the correlation between warship displacement and reliability. Results: The correlation between warship light displacement and basic reliability was greater than mission reliability; the correlation between the warship displacement and basic reliability was declining. The basic reliability decreased by -0.0017 as the light displacement increased. Conclusion: The effective target reliability setting method can be discovered by; (1) utilizing the correlation between warship light displacement and basic reliability, (2) conducting additional research to discover other factors affecting reliability and (3) applying various statistical techniques on the data.

        ‘위기지학(爲己之學)’에의 침잠(沈潛)과 조황(趙榥)의 <인도행(人道行)>

        본 논문은 19세기를 유교적 가치관이 붕괴 혹은 해체되어가는 시기로 전제한 채 작품의 진의를 억압 혹은 은폐하여 해석한 경우에 대한 문제의식에서 시작되었다. 그리고 그 대표적인 예라 할 수 있는 19세기 사족 조황의 시조 작품 중 <인도행>의 의미를 재고해보고자 하였다. 하여 조선조 성리학이 조황과 같은 재지의 한미한 사족에게 ‘위기지학’으로서 역할 하였음을 확인하고, 이에 더해 <인도행> 서를 분석하여 <인도행> 해석의 기반으로 삼았다. 그 결과 조황의 <인도행>은 치인하지 못한 데에 대한 아쉬움보다는 위기지학에 좀 더 침잠할 것을 표명하는 작품으로, 조황이 <인도행>을 통해 자식에게 자신과 같은 삶을 살 것을 전하고자 하였다고 보았다. This study started from a critical mind about premise that confucian value was collapsed or dissolved in 19th century, and aims to reveal the real intention of literary work suppressed until now. So this paper attempted to reconsider Jo Hwang's < Indohaeng >, notable example of korean poetry in 19th century. Therefore this study confirmed that Neo-Confucianism in the Joseon Dynasty performed a function as a 'Learning to become a sage' to Jo Hwang who was petty Jaejisajok in the country and analyzed epilogue of < Indohaeng >, so based on this, interpreted meaning of < Indohaeng >. And as a result, this study conformed that Sajok Jo Hwang's < Indohaeng > expressed withdrawal into 'learning to become a sage' rather than inconvenience about going into government service.

        야전운용제원 RAM 분석 결과를 활용한 함정 무기체계 신뢰도 할당 방안 및 사례 연구

        무기체계의 신뢰성이 더욱 강조되고 있는 가운데 무기체계 개발 단계에서는 신뢰도 목표값을 달성하여야 하며, 따라서 신뢰도를 성장 관리하기 위해 체계 수준에서 설정되는 신뢰도 목표값을 하위 수준으로 배정하는 신뢰도 할당은 중요하다. 본 연구는 함정 무기체계의 신뢰도 할당에 관한 연구로서 국방기술품질원에서 수행하고 있는 무기체계의 야전운용제원 RAM(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) 분석 결과를 활용한 신뢰도 할당 방안을 제시하고 이를 실제 함정 무기체계에 적용하였다. 함정 무기체계의 신뢰도 목표값을 함정 무기체계의 고유한 작업분할구조인 SWBS(Ship Work Breakdown Structure) 그룹에 할당하고 이어서 장비 수준까지 할당하는 절차를 제시하였으며, 유사장비의 고장률 비율에 따라 신뢰도를 할당하는 ARINC 방법을 적용하는 과정에서 야전운용제원 RAM 분석 결과를 활용하여 가중치를 계산하였다. 제시한 신뢰도 할당 방안을 개발이 완료된 함정 무기체계에 적용하였으며, 할당한 신뢰도 값과 신뢰성 시험평가의 기준이 되는 신뢰도 예측값과의 일치성이 개발 시 할당한 신뢰도 값보다 약 22% 향상되었음을 확인하였다. This study developed a reliability allocation method for warship weapon systems using the field data RAM analysis results conducted by the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality and applied it to an actual warship weapon system. As a procedure for allocating the target reliability, it was allocated first to the SWBS group, a unique work division structure of the warship weapon system, and then to the equipment. When applying the ARINC method, which allocates reliability according to the failure ratio of similar equipment, weights were calculated using the field data RAM analysis results. The proposed reliability allocation method was applied to the developed warship weapon system. The consistency between the allocated and predicted reliability, which is the basis for the reliability test and evaluation, was improved by approximately 22%.
