이시영, 이재만, 양뢰, 천현우 배재대학교 자연과학연구소 2013 自然科學論文集 Vol.24 No.1

This study is aimed to find ways to analyze the current nighttime use of mountainside Mt.Bomunsan Park and thereby, to increase the efficiency of mountainside parks situated in urban areas, by case-studying other similar parks whose nighttime use has been facilitated. Also, the study focused on identifying diverse leisure activities for urban citizens to enjoy at night at such parks. First, the Mt.Boumunsan Park area was analyzed in its current nighttime use, space by space, to learn how the park is used by the public at night. Second, other parks whose physical environment is similar to that of Mt.Boumunsan Park were case-studied so that the result could be reflected on the operation of Mt.Boumunsan Park. Third, revitalization suggestions were made for the visit to Mt.Boumunsan Park during nighttime so that they can be referred to as basic data when planning and designing a park in the future for more efficient spacing. It is anticipated that when planning and designing is under consideration to improve Mt.Boumunsan Park, it is better to devise, after taking into account the local government's financial status and the public opinions, a short-and mid-term plan will better serve citizens than a non-feasible long-term master plan.

중국 흑룡강성 조선족 생활문화의 지속과 변동 : 의례와 축제를 중심으로 Focusing on rites and festivals

        강위원,김시덕,안화춘 한국사진학회 2005 AURA Vol.0 No.12

Farmers and patriots became impoverished by natural disasters and a decline of governmental power at the end of Joseon dynasty, when they were forced to migrate to China for the purpose of either their living or national independence movement. With their descendants, and then, they continued to reside in China even after national independence. They are just called the Joseon tribe in China. In fact, they were subjected to a lot of oppression and exploitation in starting to reside in China, a foreign area. Their living culture is based on the originality of Korean tribe, and they adapted themselves to a variety of new political, cultural and social environments, as well as to local climate and life style. While contacting a different kind of tribes, they also acquired their own knowledge of life. Therefore, their living culture is a version of Korean tribe' s culture. With the recent trend of industrialization with so-called "Korean Dream," their living culture is changing radically and even disappearing gradually. Once a minority race' s culture or life style disappears in the Chinese people-centered society, it can never be recovered. Therefore, it is a very urgent matter to photograph and keep a record of their current culture. It is also our duty to guide the change of their living culture in such a manner that their racial characteristics can be retained in China where a Korean boon is now on.

High Survivin and Low Zinc Finger of the Cerebellum 1 Expression Indicates Poor Prognosis in Triple-negative Breast Carcinoma

        Chun-Tao Shi,Jun Ma,Qi-Feng Shi,Ye Zhang,Hao-Nan Wang 한국유방암학회 2019 Journal of breast cancer Vol.22 No.2

Purpose: Triple-negative breast carcinoma (TNBC) is accompanied with high risk of metastasis and recurrence. The present study aimed to explore the clinicopathological and prognostic roles of putative tumor-related genes in patients with TNBC. Methods: Thirty pairs of frozen-thawed tumors were used to select reliable indicators via real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). Then, 150 pathology specimens were used to evaluate the expression of proteins in TNBC through immunohistochemistry. In addition, Kaplan-Meier curves and Cox regression analysis were also performed to analyze the overall survival and disease-free survival. Results: RT-qPCR results indicated that among all the proteins analyzed using fresh-frozen TNBC samples, the expression levels of only Survivin and zinc finger of the cerebellum 1 (ZIC1) were obviously different from those in the corresponding normal tissues. Survivin and ZIC1 expression had opposite effects on the clinicopathological diagnosis and prognostic assessment in TNBC patients. Further, there was a negative correlation between Survivin and ZIC1 expression. In addition, the “Survivin-positive ZIC1-negative group” was associated with histologic grade, lymph node metastasis, and TNM staging (p < 0.001) and this was also an independent factor for evaluating the prognosis of TNBC in patients. Conclusion: In summary, the expression levels of Survivin and ZIC1 in TNBC are different from those in normal tissues and are negatively correlated mutually. The combined detection of Survivin and ZIC1 expression levels could allow better comprehensive diagnosis and prognostic evaluation for TNBC patients.

Surface-Displayed Porcine IFN-λ3 in Lactobacillus plantarum Inhibits Porcine Enteric Coronavirus Infection of Porcine Intestinal Epithelial Cells

        Yong-Shi Liu,Qiong Liu,Yanlong Jiang,Wentao Yang,Hai-Bin Huang,Chun-Wei Shi,Gui-Lian Yang,Chun-Feng Wang 한국미생물·생명공학회 2020 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.30 No.4

Interferon (IFN)-λ plays an essential role in mucosal cells which exhibit strong antiviral activity. Lactobacillus plantarum (L. plantarum) has substantial application potential in the food and medical industries because of its probiotic properties. Alphacoronaviruses, especially porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) and transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV), cause high morbidity and mortality in piglets resulting in economic loss. Co-infection by these two viruses is becoming increasingly frequent. Therefore, it is particularly important to develop a new drug to prevent diarrhea infected with mixed viruses in piglets. In this study, we first constructed an anchored expression vector with CWA (C-terminal cell wall anchor) on L. plantarum. Second, we constructed two recombinant L. plantarum strains that anchored IFN-λ3 via pgsA (N-terminal transmembrane anchor) and CWA. Third, we demonstrated that both recombinant strains possess strong antiviral effects against coronavirus infection in the intestinal porcine epithelial cell line J2 (IPEC-J2). However, recombinant L. plantarum with the CWA anchor exhibited a more powerful antiviral effect than recombinant L. plantarum with pgsA. Consistent with this finding, Lb.plantarum-pSIP-409-IFN- λ3-CWA enhanced the expression levels of IFN-stimulated genes (ISGs) (ISG15, OASL, and Mx1) in IPEC-J2 cells more than did recombinant Lb.plantarum-pSIP-409-pgsA'-IFN-λ3. Our study verifies that recombinant L. plantarum inhibits PEDV and TGEV infection in IPEC-J2 cells, which may offer great potential for use as a novel oral antiviral agent in therapeutic applications for combating porcine epidemic diarrhea and transmissible gastroenteritis. This study is the first to show that recombinant L. plantarum suppresses PEDV and TGEV infection of IPEC-J2 cells.

      • Fractional Slot Concentrated Winding PMSM With Consequent Pole Rotor for a Low-Speed Direct Drive: Reduction of Rare Earth Permanent Magnet

        Shi-Uk Chung,Ji-Won Kim,Yon-Do Chun,Byung-Chul Woo,Do-Kwan Hong IEEE 2015 IEEE transactions on energy conversion Vol.30 No.1

This paper deals with a 44pole-48slot fractional slot concentrated winding permanent magnet synchronous machine (FSCW PMSM) for a low-speed direct drive. Two different rotor topologies, a surface permanent magnet (SPM) rotor and a consequent pole (CP) rotor, are optimized and compared both analytically and experimentally. The experimental results confirmed that an FSCW PMSM with a CP rotor can achieve almost equivalent performance at the rated state when compared to an FSCW PMSM with an SPM rotor with 33% less permanent magnet material.

Liriodenine Inhibits Dopamine Biosynthesis and L-DOPA-Induced Dopamine Content in PC12 Cells

        Chun Mei Jin,Jae Joon Lee,Yoo Jung Yang,Yu Mi Kim,Young Kyoon Kim,Shi Yong Ryu,이명구 대한약학회 2007 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.30 No.8

The inhibitory effects of liriodenine, an aporphine isoquinoline alkaloid, on dopamine biosynthesis and L-DOPA-induced dopamine content increases in PC12 cells were investigated. Treatment of PC12 cells with 5-10 μM liriodenine significantly decreased the intracellular dopamine content in a concentration-dependent manner (IC50 value, 8.4 μM). Liriodenine was not cytotoxic toward PC12 cells at concentrations up to 20 μM. Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase (AADC) activities were inhibited by 10 μM liriodenine to 20-70% and 10-14% of control levels at 3-12 h, respectively; TH activity was more influenced than AADC activity. The levels of TH mRNA, intracellular cyclic AMP and basal Ca2+ concentration were also decreased by 10 μM liriodenine. In addition, 10 μM liriodenine reduced L-DOPA (20-100 μM)-induced increases in dopamine content. However, 10 μM liriodenine resulted in a protective effect against L-DOPA (50-100 μM)-induced cytotoxicity. These results suggest that liriodenine regulates dopamine biosynthesis by partially reducing TH activity and TH gene expression and has protective effects against L-DOPA-induced cytotoxicity in PC12 cells.

Recombinant Human Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor Promotes Preinvasive and Invasive Estrogen Receptor-Positive Tumor Development in MMTV-erbB2 Mice

        Chun Ling Zhao,Guang Ping Zhang,Zheng Zheng Xiao,Zhi Kun Ma,Cai Peng Lei,Shi Yuan Song,Ying Ying Feng,Ya Chao Zhao,Xiao Shan Feng 한국유방암학회 2015 Journal of breast cancer Vol.18 No.2

Purpose: We investigated whether recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) could promote the development of preinvasive and invasive breast cancer in mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV-erbB2) mice with estrogen receptor- positive tumors. Methods: MMTV-erbB2 mice were randomly divided into three experimental groups with 20 mice in each group. MMTV-erbB2 mice were treated with daily subcutaneous injections of vehicle or rhG-CSF (low-rhG-CSF group, rhG-CSF 0.125 μg; vehicle-rhG-CSF group, normal saline 0.25 μg; and high-rhG-CSF group, rhG-CSF 0.25 μg) at 3 months of age. Cellular and molecular mechanisms of G-CSF action in mammary glands were investigated via immunohistochemistry and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results: Low, but not high, rhG-CSF doses significantly accelerated mammary tumorigenesis in MMTV-erbB2 mice. Short-term treatment with rhG-CSF could significantly promote the development of preinvasive mammary lesions. The cancer prevention effect was associated with reduced expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen, cluster of differentiation 34, and signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 in mammary glands by >80%. Conclusion: We found that G-CSF was regulated by rhG-CSF both in vitro and in vivo. Identification of G-CSF genes helped us further understand the mechanism by which G-CSF promotes cancer. Low doses of rhG-CSF could significantly increase tumor latency and increase tumor multiplicity and burden. Moreover, rhG-CSF effectively promotes development of both malignant and premalignant mammary lesions in MMTV-erbB2 mice.
