The ladybeetle Coccinella septempunctata Linnaeus is an important natural enemy of aphids, scale insects, whitefly, and lepidopteran larvae. Mass rearing of this natural enemy is limited due to the lack of effective artificial feed. We compared the biological performance of C. septempunctata, reared on four artificial diets (A, B, C, and D), while the pea aphid Aphis craccivora served as a control treatment (CK). Results showed that the developmental time before emergence ranked from short to long follow as: CK (12.30d)<D(16.66d)<A(17.38d)<C (17.54d)<B (18.57d). The eclosion rate of larvae ranked from high to low follow as: CK (90.00%) > C (87.50%) = D (87.50%) > B(80.00%)> A (57.50%), and new adult weight from high to low follow as: CK (339.50 g*0.0001) > A (205.33 g*0.0001) > D (197.68 g*0.0001) > B (174.89 g*0.0001) > C (169.46 g*0.0001). The ratios of fecundity between the experimental group and the control group were 80.46% (A), 39.24% (B), 45.31% (C), and 53.02% (D). The hatch rates were 59.50% (A), 46.00% (B), 57.65% (C), 54.50% (D), and 53.88% (CK). The mortality of C. septempunctata adults fed on a combined artificial diet was higher than those fed on the control diet. Compared to the control diet, C. septempunctata did not significantly reduce oviposition when fed on artificial diet A. Therefore, diet A can be used in mass-rearing of C. septempunctata.

In this paper, we construct nilpotent semigroups S such that $S^n=\{0\}$, $S^{n-1}{\neq}\{0\}$ and ${\Gamma}(S)$ is a refinement of the star graph $K_{1,n-3}$ with center $c$ together with finitely many or infinitely many end vertices adjacent to $c$, for each finite positive integer $n{\geq}5$. We also give counting formulae to calculate the number of the mutually non-isomorphic nilpotent semigroups when $n=5$, 6 and in finite cases.

Foodborne contamination and salmonellosis caused by Salmonella Enteritidis (S. Enteritidis) are a significant threat to human health and poultry enterprises. Outer membrane vesicles (OMVs), which are naturally secreted by gram-negative bacteria, could be a good vaccine option because they have many biologically active substances, including lipopolysaccharides (LPS), outer membrane proteins (OMPs), and phospholipids, as well as periplasmic components. In the present study, we purified OMVs derived from S. Enteritidis and analyzed their characteristics through silver staining and sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. In total, 108 proteins were identified in S. Enteritidis OMVs through liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry analysis, and OMPs, periplasmic proteins, and extracellular proteins (49.9% of total proteins) were found to be enriched in the OMVs compared with bacterial cells. Furthermore, native OMVs used in immunizations by either the intranasal route or the intraperitoneal route could elicit significant humoral and mucosal immune responses and provide strong protective efficiency against a lethal dose (~100-fold LD<sub>50</sub>) of the wild-type S. Enteritidis infection. These results indicated that S. Enteritidis OMVs might be an ideal vaccine strategy for preventing S. Enteritidis diseases.

The particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm can easily become trapped in a local optimum when the objective function to be optimized is high-dimensional and complex. A multipopulation, cooperative, bare-bones particle swarm optimization (MCBBPSO) algorithm is proposed to solve this problem. In MCBBPSO, three types of parallel cooperative learning populations are used to optimize the objective function. By adding disturbance factors and adopting an elite reverse learning strategy, the optimization ability of the algorithm is increased. Through the “mirror wall” method, the cross-boundary particles are processed to reduce the loss of particle resources. Experiments using the CEC2013 standard test functions demonstrate the convergence accuracy and speed of the algorithm on high-dimensional and complex objective functions. Finally, MCBBPSO is applied to perform parameter optimization in support vector regression (SVR), and short-term wind speeds are then predicted using the optimized SVR approach to reduce resource consumption in a power grid.

<P>By two-step solid state reaction, Mg2Si0.8Ge0.2 was successfully synthesized .The effect of Ag-doping concentration on the thermoelectric transport properties of p-type Mg2Si0.8Ge0.2 was investigated. With the increasing of Ag-doping concentration, the electrical conductivity σ and Seebeck coefficient α increase correspondingly over the measuring temperature range (300-800K).The peaks of the curves of Seebeck coefficient versus temperature shift towards the lower temperature .When the doping concentration of Ag is 16000ppm(nominal molar percent), the power factor P of Mg2Si0.8Ge0.2 reaches 4.4×10-4W/mK2 at 800K,obviously improved in comparison with the sample with no additive .</P>

As tourists increase and competition intensifies, each duty-free shop is confronted with competition in various aspects, including not only sales volume, but also the internal space environment design. When shopping for a long time is busy and crowded, tourists urgently need a rest area to ease fatigue and wait. Nowadays, how to create a resting environment to satisfy tourists is a big challenge for duty-free shops. Therefore, this study compared and analyzed the changes in the design characteristics of the rest space inside the duty free shop in Seoul and analyzed the design characteristics of the rest space environment through case study. In the study, rest spaces should be added to the future design, such as the number of furniture, additional facilities, and disability information, and pay attention to the mobility of the furniture. Rest spaces should be installed on each floor. In addition, it is necessary to select various materials for both the layout of the resting space and the interior to increase the change of color and lighting. It is necessary to separate the resting space from other spaces in order to increase the discrimination of space. The lighting should be soft and create a good atmosphere for the customer.

Aim: Apoptosis has been considered as a fundamental component in cancer pathogenesis, and related genetic factors might play an important role in gastric cardiac adenocarcinoma (GCA) genesis. Methods: We conducted a hospital based case.control study to evaluate the genetic effects of functional single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs): BCL2 rs17757541 C>G, BCL2 rs12454712 T>C, FAS rs2234767 G>A, FASL/FASLG rs763110 C>T, ERBB2 rs1136201 A>G and VEGFR2/KDR rs11941492 C>T on the development of GCA. A total of 243 GCA cases and 476 controls were recruited for the study and genotypes were determined using a custom-by-design 48-Plex SNPscan$^{TM}$ Kit. Results: The BCL2 rs17757541 C>G polymorphism was associated with increased risk of GCA. However, there was no significant associations with the other five SNPs. Stratified analyses indicated a significantly increased risk of GCA associated with the BCL2 rs17757541 C>G polymorphism among males, older patients and those with a history of smoking or drinking. Conclusion: These findings indicated that the functional polymorphism BCL2 rs17757541 C>G might contribute to GCA susceptibility. However, our results were limited by small sample size. Future larger studies are required to confirm our current findings.
