Flame Braze between Aluminum Alloy 5A06 and Low Carbon Steel Q235
Nian-chun LU,Yang LIU,Guo-dong Hao,Yun-tao WANG 대한용접·접합학회 2017 대한용접·접합학회지 Vol.35 No.4
By means of the flame braze, the welding problems on Aluminum alloy(5A06)and low carbon steel Q235) were mainly researched in this paper. The welding technology adopted in this paper is that a hot-dipped Aluminum coating of ZL102 Aluminum alloy was firstly performed on the surfaces of low carbon steel, then the layer of hot-dipped aluminum and aluminum alloy were welded by the shape of the lap joint. Through the analysis of the microstructure and tensile property of welded joint after the experiment, the experimental results expressed that good welded joint can be attained by application of flame brazing. Fracture location of the joint specimens appears in the coating layer by means of tensile test. The results show that the bond strength of the coating layer was less than that of the brazing seams.

Objective There is limited clarity concerning the risk of dementia after pneumonia with intensive care unit (ICU) stay. We conducted a nationwide cohort study, which aimed to investigate the impact of dementia after pneumonia with and without intensive care unit admission. Methods Data was obtained from Taiwan’s National Health Insurance Research Database between 2000 and 2015. A total of 7,473 patients were identified as having pneumonia required ICU stay, along with 22,419 controls matched by sex and age. After adjusting for confounding factors, multivariate Cox regression model analysis was used to compare the risk of developing dementia during the 15-years follow-up period. Results The enrolled pneumonia patients with ICU admission had a dementia rate of 9.89%. Pneumonia patients without ICU admission had a dementia rate of 9.21%. The multivariate Cox regression model analysis revealed that the patients with ICU stay had the higher risk of dementia, with a crude hazard ratio of 3.371 (95% confidence interval, 3.093–3.675; p<0.001).Conclusion This study indicated that pneumonia with ICU stay is associated with an increased risk of dementia. A 3-fold risk of dementia was observed in patients admitted to the ICU compared to the control group.

Aim(s): Design Thinking is a human-centered problem-solving solution. It seeks innovative solutions for different issues by starting from human needs. The process includes empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing. Innovation is a new trend for nursing education and talent training, but nursing-related research that combines design thinking with innovative research and development is lacking. In this study, cross-disciplinary instructors used design thinking to lead a team of nursing students in innovating on a Pre-loaded Diluent and Medication Syringe. The completed pilot test provides implementation and research directions for innovation education. Method(s): The researchers created 15 questions regarding ease of operation, safe use, environmental friendliness, and economic benefits for their self-developed Pre-loaded Diluent and Medication Syringe. The research team then demonstrated the device to 40 invited nursing students with registered nurse licenses, who were then asked to complete the questionnaire, thus allowing score-based comparisons between this innovative syringe and traditional syringes used in drug administration. The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Result(s): The results of the research showed that there was no significant difference on the “applicable to all types of wards” question for ease of operation, but the other 14 items all showed significant differences (P<.05). The reason for that insignificant difference may be due to unmet needs for micro-administration of special drugs and reuse of pediatric surplus; this prompted the research team to carry out develop on a Drug-mixing Syringe Feasible for Multiple Administrations. Conclusion(s): Based on the evaluation results, the research team developed a syringe more optimized to meet clinical needs. The study provides cross-disciplinary guidance to students in the process of nursing innovation, and narrows research gaps in related fields.

Various anatomic anomalies have been considered the causes of nutcracker syndrome (NCS). Posterior NCS refers to the condition, in which vascular narrowing was secondary to the compression of the retroaortic left renal vein while it is crossing between the aorta and the vertebral column. Here, we report an unusual case of posterior NCS associated with a complicated malformation of the interrupted left inferior vena cava with azygos continuation and retroaortic right renal vein, diagnosed by both color Doppler ultrasonography and CT angiography.

A dynamic asymmetrical crack model of bridging fiber pull-out in unidirectional composite materials
Xin-gang Li,Yun-hong Cheng,Nian-chun Lü,Guo-dong Hao,Jin Cheng 대한기계학회 2011 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.25 No.9
As a rule, when a crack happens in composite materials, the fibrous system will generate bridging fibers resulted in the asymmetrical extending of the crack. In this paper, a dynamic asymmetrical crack model of bridging fiber pull-out in unidirectional composite materials is built for analyzing the distributions stress and displacement with the internal asymmetrical crack under the loading conditions of an applied non- stress and the traction forces on crack faces yielded by the bridging fiber pull-out model. Thus the fiber failure is determined by the maximum tensile stress, the fiber ruptures, and hence the crack propagation should also occur in self-similar modality. The formulation involves the development of a Riemann-Hilbert problem. The analytical solution of an asymmetrical extension crack in unidirectional composite materials under the conditions of moving increasing loads Pt²/x² and Px²/t is concluded, respectively. Based on relative material properties, the variable law of dynamic stress intensity factors was depicted perfectly. After the conclusion of analytical solutions with the superposition theorem, the solutions of arbitrary complex problems could be acquired.
