To search for less toxic antiherpetic agents, the inhibitory effects of twelve kinds of flavonoids including chrysin, quercetin, quercitrin, rutin, fisetin, gossypin, kaempferol, morin, naringenin, naringin, hesperetin and hesperidin on the plaque formation of herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2) in Vero cells were examined by plaque reduction assay in vitro. Some flavonoids tested in this study showed potent antiherpetic activity, reducing intracellular replication of herpes simplex viruses when Vero cell monolayers were infected and subsequently cultured in medium containing flavonoids. Naringenin showed the most potent antiviral activity against HSV-1 with selectivity index (SI) of 19.1 and hesperetin showed the most potent antiviral activity against HSV-2 with SI of 9.8. These results suggest that some flavonoids may be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment and prevention of herpes simplex virus infections.
큰느타리버섯의 신선도 유지기간 연장을 위한 CO<sub>2</sub> 처리 효과

큰느타리버섯은 장거리 해상운송 후 갈변 및 조직 물러짐에 의한 품질저하가 클레임의 원인이 되는데, 수출 중 신선도 유지를 위한 전처리 기술을 개발하고자 $CO_2$ 처리의 효과를 검증하였다. 버섯의 수확후 $5^{\circ}C$에서 30, 50% 농도의 $CO_2$를 3시간 처리하고 관행적인 방법으로 필름포장한 다음 $20^{\circ}C$와 $5^{\circ}C$에 저장하며 무처리와의 품질을 비교분석하였다. $CO_2$ 처리구는 무처리에 비해 저장 중 조직 경도와 색도(Hunter 'L', 'b')를 유지하였고, 관능평가에서도 품질이 급격히 저하되는 저온저장 3주차에 조직물러짐 정도와 갈변지수가 낮아 신선도 유지에 효과가 있었다. $CO_2$ 처리 농도 중 30% 처리구가 50%에 비해 상품성이 높았으며 무처리에 비해서는 $5^{\circ}C$에서 약 1주일간 신선도 유지기간이 연장되었다. 따라서 큰느타리버섯의 장거리 해상운송 중 품질유지를 위한 전처리 방법으로 $CO_2$ 처리가 효과가 있는 것으로 판단되며 현장적용을 위해 효과가 있는 $CO_2$ 처리농도의 범위 및 장해를 유발하는 한계농도의 설정과 처리시간 등 추가적인 실험이 요구된다. King oyster mushrooms(Pleurotus eryngii) are the second biggest mushroom for exporting in Korea but their browning and soft rot is the main factors of claim during long distance transportation. Fresh king oyster mushrooms were treated with $CO_2$ at 30, 50% for 3 hours at $5^{\circ}C$ prior to storage at $20^{\circ}C$ and $5^{\circ}C$. There was no difference on respiration rate after $CO_2$ treatment. However exposure to $CO_2$ for 3h prior to MA packing maintained the firmness and delayed color(hunter L and b value) change of mushrooms during storage. Especially an incubation in high $CO_2$ at 30% significantly reduced soft rot and browning symptoms resulting in one week extension of shelf-life during storage at $5^{\circ}C$ compared to control and 50% $CO_2$ treatment.

Yogurt is produced by fermentation of milk using bacteria known as "yogurt cultures". Most of these bacteria are probiotics such as Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus, Lb. rhamnosus, Streptococcus thermophilus, and Bifidobacterium. The domestic fermented milk market is increasing, and about 30 companies are producing yogurt. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality characteristics of domestic commercial liquid yogurt. Total 30types of commercial yogurts were sampled and their physicochemicial properties, including pH, sugar content, acidity, viscosity, and microbial characteristics of lactic acid bacteria counts, were measured. Commercial liquid type yogurt showed a pH of 4.5, sugar content of 7.4-21.2%, total acid content of 0.4-0.9%, and viscosity of 0.1-250 cP. In terms of microbial populations, lactic acid bacteria counts were 7.2-11.3 log CFU/mL and anaerobic lactic acid bacteria counts were 8.0-11.5 log CFU/mL. The quality characteristics differed depending on the constituents of the sample and the microorganisms used. These results are related to the quality characteristics of yogurts and are useful for identifying new trends in the domestic fermented milk industry. 요구르트는 유산균을 이용하여 제조한 대표적인 유발효식품이다. 국내 유통되고 있는 요구르트는 약 30개의 업체에서 생산되고 있으며, 최근 당 저감화 정책 실시로 저당제품이 출시되고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 시판되고 있는 액상타입의 요구르트를 수집하여 제품의 일반적인 특성을 조사하였고, pH, 산도, 당도, 점도, 호기성 혐기성 유산균수를 측정하여 기초자료로 사용하고자 하였다. 탈지분유(97%) 및 원유(57%)가 주된 원료로 높은 빈도로 사용되고 있으며, 발효스타터는 요구르트에 100% 이용되고 있으며 주로 수입균주가 이용되고 있다. 당은 sucrose, oligosaccharide, xylitol이 첨가되었고, 그 외 구연산, vitamin C, gum류 등이 요구르트의 기능성과 물성 등을 개선하고자 하는 부원료로 사용되고 있는 것을 확인하였다. 30종의 요구르트의 품질특성을 분석한 결과 pH는 3.6-4.6, 당도는 7.4-21.2%, 총산도는 0.4-0.9%, 호기성 유산균수 7.2-11.3 log CFU/mL, 혐기성 유산균수는 8.0-11.5 log CFU/mL로 분석되었다. 본 연구에서 도출된 시판 액상타입 요구르트의 품질분석 결과는 다양한 소재를 접목한 요구르트 개발의 품질규격설정의 기초자료로 유용 할 것으로 사료된다.
Lakatos의 관점을 반영한 수학영재 대상 교수단원 개발연구 -데자르그 정리와 무한원점을 중심으로-

데자르그 정리와 무한원점이라는 사영기하학의 내용에 대하여, 반례의 수학사적 역할에 대한 Lakatos의 관점을 반영한 중등 영재학생용 교수단원을 개발하였다. 본 교수단원에서는 먼저 데자르그 정리의 반례를 인식하고, 이러한 반례를 제거하기 위해 무한원점을 도입하여 정리를 일반화한다. 그리고 다시 변환을 도입하여 반례가 사실 일반적인 경우와 대등한 것임을 재인식하도록 전개하였다. 이 교수단원에서 영재학생들은, 반례로 인하여 데자르그 정리라는 수학적 지식이 어떻게 변화하고 성장할 수 있는가를 경험할 수 있었다. In this study, a teaching unit <Desargue theorem and point at infinity> for mathematically gifted students is designed, based on Lakatos's perspective. First, students appreciated the exceptions of Desargue theorem and introduced the point at infinity to remove the exceptions. Finally students were guided to realize that the exceptions and the general case of Desargue theorem have equal status. Exploring Desargue theorem with other viewpoints, gifted students experienced the growth of mathematical knowledge due to exceptions of the theorem.

기하학의 기본용어인 점과 선에 대한 유클리드의 사전적 정의에서 힐베르트의 수학적 정의 개념으로의 변화과정을 살펴보았다. 이러한 수학에서의 정의 개념 변화의 인식론적 배경은 바로 수학적 대상의 존재 방식에 대한 실재론, 개념론을 거쳐 유명론에 도달하는 철학적 인식의 변화이다. This paper analyses conceptual change from Euclid's dictionary definition to Hilbert's mathematical definition about primitive terms in Geometry. Realism, conceptualism, nominalism about mathematical objects are related to this conceptual change.

Purpose : This study aimed to verify the effectiveness of the clinical ladder system (CLS) by identifying the perception of the CLS, professional self-concept, self-efficacy, and organizational commitment among intensive care unit (ICU) nurses. Methods : Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 173 nurses working in 11 ICUs at a tertiary hospital in Seoul. Results : The perception of the CLS, self-efficacy, and organizational commitment showed significant difference according to the CLS level. As a result of the partial Spearman correlation analysis after adjusting for demographic difference according to CLS (age, marital status, education, and clinical career), CLS positively correlated with the perception of the CLS (r=.16, p=.045), professional self-concept (r=.24, p=.001), and self-efficacy (r=.21, p=.007). On the contrary, organizational commitment negatively correlated with the perception of the CLS (r=-.43, p<.001) and self-efficacy (r=-.32, p<.001). Conclusion : The CLS is effective for professional self-concept and self-efficacy. However, specialists 2 nurses, who had high professional self-concept and self-efficacy, showed low level of organizational commitment. Thus, it is necessary to examine the factors of work burden and career plateau that are imposed after promotion and improve experience and planning according to the growth needs. Moreover, regular evaluation of the CLS will require hospital support to ensure that ICU nurses appreciate and actively participate in the support.

CBAM(Cost Benefit Analysis Method)은 아키텍처 전략을 평가할 때 전략으로 인하여 얻게 될 이익(Benefit)뿐만 아니라 비용(Cost) 스케줄, 위험을 함께 고려하여 최적의 아키텍처 전략을 결정하도록 하기 위한 방법이다. 그러나 CBAM은 아키텍처 전략을 평가하는 과정이 이해당사자들의 합의나 투표, 경험적 직관에 의존하고 있어 결정에 대한 명시적인 정량적 증거를 제시하고 있지 못하다. 본 연구에서는 CBAM에서 제시한 이해당사자들의 합의나 투표를 수행하는 과정에 계층분석적 의사 결정 방법인 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)를 도입하여 아키텍처 전략 결정의 증거를 명시적으로 제시할 뿐만 아니라 주관적 판단 오류의 가능성을 줄이고자 한다. The CBAM (Cost Benefit Analysis Method) provides a method for deciding the best architectural strategy by considering cost, schedule, and risks as well as the benefits of the architectural strategy. But many parts of the CBAM do not Present quantitative evidence explicitly on whether it is the best architectural strategy among others because it depends on the stakeholders' consensus, vote, and/or intuition. In this study, we apply the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) to CBAM to provide explicit quantitative evidence and to reduce the possibility of subjective decision-making errors that may occur in the CBAM.
급성기 허혈성 뇌경색 환자들의 변증 분형과 위험 요인들간의 관련성 연구

Object : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between pattern identification (PI) and stroke risk factors, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, stroke history, obesity, abdominal obesity and metabolic syndrome. Methods : 46 patients with acute ischemic stroke were recruited from May 2012 to November, 2012. We analyzed the data of 32 patients, and pattern identification was identified by resident and specialist of Korean medicine. We analized patient's PI and risk factor by Fisher's exact test. Results : We found that Dampness-phlegm group was more related with patient's metabolic syndrome than non Dampness-Phlegm group. And Yin deficiency group had less relationship with patient's metabolic syndrome, obesity, abdominal obesity and dyslipidemia than non Yin deficiency group. Conclusions : According to the analysis, these results provide evidence for relationship between the Dampness-phlegm group, Yin deficiency and metabolic syndrome.
천연 Hesperetin의 항허피스바이러스작용과 Acyclovir 및 Vidarabine과의 병용효과

To search for less toxic antiherpetic agents, the inhibitory effects of natural hesperetin on the plaque formation of herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2) in Vero cells were examined by the plaque reduction assay in vitro. Hesperetin inhibited plaque formations of HSV-1 and HSV-2 in a dose dependent manner. It also exhibited more potent antiherpetic activity on HSV-2 with selectivity index (SI) of 9.8 than on HSV-1 with SI of 8.4. The combined antiherpetic effects of hesperetin with nucleoside antiherpetic agents, acyclovir and vidarabine, were examined on the multiplication of these two strains of herpesviruses in Vero cells by the combination assay. The results of combination assay were evaluated by the combination index (CI) that was calculated by the multiple drug effect analysis. The combinations of hesperetin with acyclovir on HSV-1 and HSV-2 showed synergistic effects with CI values of $0.29{\sim}0.73$ for 50%, 70%, 90% effective levels and those with vidarabine showed partially synergistic or additive effects with CI values of $0.83{\sim}1.33$.
