This paper grasped trends of hot-corrier and punchthrough phenomena as a variation of some process parameters such as LDD doses (P), spacer lengths, channel doses(BF_(2)) and V_(T) adjusting channel implantation energies using Design Trend Curve(DTC). As the LDD dose increased, hot-carrier phenomena became more severe and punchthrough phenomenon was deteriorated. As increasing channel dose (BF_(2)), hot-carrier phenomenon was aggravated in contrast with punchthrough phenomenon which was improved. The model was proved by two dimensional electrical characteristics including generation of impact ionization rate and distribution of electric field with simulation. It was used to TSUPREM-IV and MEDICI for processing and device simulation, respectively.

Logistics in construction project includes purchase, procurement and transportation on the network consisting of contractor, subcontractor, supplier, manufacturer, carrier and so on. Collaborations and integrations among the each participants play a key role. It is necessary that we take advantage of recent information technology in order to optimize logistics and achieve collaborative integration. The use of extensible markup language(XML) has been continued increasingly in recent years. This research aims at presenting conceptual Logistics system based on XML/EDI. Various participant in construction project will have more efficient and malleable Logistics atmosphere.
무기고화제를 이용한 중금속 오염 광미의 안정화 처리를 위한 기초연구

Stabilization treatment is one of processes for wastes and their components to reduce their toxicity and migration rates to surroundings. Inorganic binders such as calcium hydroxide, blast furnace slag and red mud were tested for their potential applicability to in-situ stabilization of heavy metal contaminated tailings in the abandoned metal mines. Columns(150mm dia. x 450mm length) filled with mixtures of inorganic binders and tailing from the Geumjang mine with various mixing ratios of binders to tailings, 5%, 7% and 9% were applied artificial rainfall tests for 28 days. Effluents from columns filled with calcium hydroxide and tailing showed high pH's of ~12.5 and a increasing trend of concentration in Pb and Zn with a significant decrease in permeability in terms of elapsed days. Those with burning slag and tailing showed pH's of ~8.5 and significantly low concentrations in heavy metals with a stable permeability. In case of red mud, effluents showed significantly low concentrations in heavy metals but a decreased permeability with pH's of ~10.5. Conclusively, this basic study suggests burning furnace slag be a potential stabilizer for effective treatment of heavy metal contaminated mine tailings.
치료용 방사선의 입사각에 따른 광섬유 방사선량계의 체렌코프 빛 측정 및 분석

In this study, we have measured scintillating light generated in a fiber-optic dosimeter by high energy photon and electron beams using a charge-coupled device. The intensity of Cerenkov lights are also measured and characterized as functions of incident angles and energies of the high energy beams from a clinical linear accelerator. To minimize or remove Cerenkov light, a simple subtraction method using a background optical fiber and wavelength discrimination method using optical filters are investigated. Also, the intensities of Cerenkov light induced by high energy photon and electron beams are compared.
치태에서 분리된 Streptococcus mutans에 대한 서양산 고추냉이(Armoracia rusticana) 뿌리 추출물의 향균효과

천연항균제의 개발에 대한 관심이 날로 증가하는 가운데,다수의 연구들에서 Escherichia coli. Salmonella typhimurium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Aspergillus parasiticus, Helicobacter pylori 등 다양한 세균들에 대한 서양산 고추냉이의 항균 효과가 밝혀 진 바 있다. 서양산 고추냉이가 치아우식증의 원인균인 Streptococcus mutans에 대해서도 항균성을 나타낸다는 보고가 있으나,아직까지 구강내에서 분리된 임상분리균주를 대상으로 한 연구는 미진한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 사람의 구강내에서 분리 및 동정된 Streptococcus mutans에 대한 서양산 고추냉이 뿌리 추출물의 항균 효과를,대표적 항균제인 클로르헥사딘과 비교하여 알아보고,Streptococcus mutans 표준균주에 대한 서양산 고추냉이 뿌리 추출물의 효과와 비교하고자 하였다. 항균 효과를 평가하기 위해 최소억제농도와 최소살균농도를 측정하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 본 연구에서 Streptococcus mutans 임상 분리균주와 표준균주에 대한 서양산 고추냉이 뿌리 추출물의 최소억제 농도는 각각 평균 0.083∼0.25% (833.33∼2500 ppm), 평균 0.25%(2500 ppm)으로 나타나,두 종류의 균주에 대한 항균 효과에는 뚜렷한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 서양산 고추냉이 뿌리 추출물은 0.083∼0.25%의 농도에서 콜로르헥사딘(0.0021∼0.0041%)과 대등한 항균 효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. Recently interesting in development of antimicrobial agent from natural origin has been increased in these days. Many studies have been reported antimicrobial effect of Horseradish(Armoracia rusticana) root extracts against various microorganisms such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio parahaemolyticu, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Aspergillus parasiticus, Helicobacter pylori. The main component related to antimicrobial activity in horseradish is well known as allyl isothiocyanate(AIT). In this study, we investigated the antimicrobial effects of Horseradish(Armoracia rusticana) root extracts against Streptococcus mutans isolated from human dental plaque, Streptococcus mutans reference strain and compared with that of chlorhexidine. Horseradish root extracts and chlorhexidine were tested to determine their minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC). The result of this study can be summerized as follows: 1. Horseradish root extracts showed antimicrobial effect against both S. mutans isolated strain and reference strain, their MIC were respectively 0.083∼0.25% (833.33∼2500 ppm), 0.25% (2500 ppm). Horseradish root extracts showed antimicrobial effect against S. mutans isolated strain at same or slightly lower concentration compared with MIC of reference strain. 2. 0 083∼0.25% horseradish root extracts showed similar antimicrobial effect with chlorhexidine (0.0021∼0.0041%).
이중에너지 방사선 흡수계측법을 이용한 성인 남녀의 장골 및 경골의 골밀도에 관한 연구

Purpose : The aim of this study was to evaluate the bone mineral density of iliac and tibial bone which are frequently selected as autogenic bone graft donor sites, and to evaluate the efficiency of this method as a guideline for the selection of bone graft donor site. Materials and Methods : In this study 61 male and 70 female volunteers at Chungbuk National University Hospital were involved between Jan. 1998 to Sept. 1999. We measured bone mineral density of the iliac and the tibial bone using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry. We evaluated the data using the SAS system for Windows and bone mineral density of the lumbar was used for control. Results : Age showed the highest correlation in correlation matrix between physical and bone variables. Height and weight showed lower correlation of linear increment. In man, the change of bone density according to age demonstrated linear decrease irrespective of the lumbar, ilium, and tibia. In woman, the change of bone density according to age showed cubic form, which increased in the third and forth decade. So it had a peak bone mass on about 35 year-old, thereafter, the change of bone density slowly decreased until 50 year-old, but it rapidly decreased after 50 year-old and it slowly decreased again after 65 year-old. Both in all subjects and subject with osteoporosis, the change of bone mineral density according to age showed statistically significant decrease in lumbar and tibia, but ilium was irrespective. Conclusion : In patients of aged or with osteoporosis, ilium demonstrated less tendency of decrease in bone mineral density than tibla. So this preliminary study suggested that ilium seemed better donor site for autogenic bone graft than tibia.
