Currently, there was no producing system of TMR for pig feeding in Korea. In this study, we examined unrolling, cutting, and softening for the round bale silage. We designed and developed the prototype system of round bale silage for pig feeding. Unroll method were lower chain conveying and upper belt conveying which includes an hydraulic vertical fodder knife. Gathering and cutting method were rotating auger and flywheel which have 10 cutters, input roller of 280 rpm, and cutter rotating speed of 1,750 rpm. Softening device was rotating hammer in inclined cylinder adjustable to $25^{\circ}C$ and rotating speed up to 1,300 rpm. The prototype system was integrated working for unrolling, cutting, and softening. We found that when the round bale silage in unrolling apparatus cut length of 20 cm to input cutting apparatus, the cutting performance was well in continuous working up to input rate of 1,000 kg/h, the softening apparatus was working well.

The changes in the volatile organic compounds in plum after its electron beam irradiation and storage were determined using the simultaneous distillation extraction method and gas chromatograph-mass spectrometry. There were 44, 46, 45, 47, and 38 volatile compounds in the 0-, 0.25-, 0.5-, 0.75-, and 1 kGy irradiated samples, respectively. Also, the volatile flavor components of the plum that was stored for 30 days were identified as 48, 40, 40, 39, and 40 components. The compositions of the volatile compounds of the control and irradiated samples showed a similarity after the storage. Especially, the more important volatile flavor of the plum was identified as hexanal of the C6compounds, (E)-2-hexenal and (Z)-3-hexenal. In particular, hexanal, (E)-2-hexenal, and (Z)-3-hexen-1-ol increased in all the doses, where as hexanol and (E)-2-hexen-1-ol decreased. Among the lactone compounds, γ-hexalactone, γ-octalactone, and γ-decalactone were identified during the storage period in the raw samples. Hexanonic acid and 2-hexenoic acid were not identified during the storage of the samples, and 2-methylprrole was detected only when the storage samples were irradiated at a dose higher than 0.5kGy. Therefore, it was shown that there was no effect on the variation of the volatile organic component suntil 1 kGy in the plum was irradiated with an electron beam.
낙동강 하류 상수원수의 생물활성탄에 의한 수질개선 및 세균분포 특성

Improvement of water quality and Investigation of bacterial characteristics have been conducted in a pilot plant using biological activated carbon (BAC) in water treatment process at the downstream of the Nakdong River. Most of water control parameters were highly improved after passing through BAC. Approximately 54% of dissolved organic carbon was removed in coal-based BAC process. Bacterial biomass and bacterial production appeared 9.8×10 exp (8) CFU/g and 7.l㎎-C/㎥·hr in coal-based BAC, respectively. Predominant bacteria species grown in BAC were identified as Pseudomonas, Flavobacterium, Alcaligenes, Acinetobacter and Aeromonas species. Particularly Pseudomonas vesicularis was dominant in both coal-based and coconut-based BACs, while Pseudomonas cepacia was dominant in wood-based BAC.
