In-situ Vacuum Hot Press 공정을 이용한 SiCp/Al 복합재료의 제조

본 연구에서는 특별하게 고안된 In-situ VHP 제조 공정을 이용하여 상온에서 $500^{\circ}C$까지의 진공 열간 압축과 canning 작업 없이 $520^{\circ}C$에서 연속 압출옳 하여 Sicp/pure Al과 SiCp/2024Al MMCs를 제조하였다. 복합재료의 인장강도와 미세구조에 영향을 주는 SiC 입자크기, 체적률, 압출비에 대해서 조사하였다. 압출비 10:1의 경우에는 SiCp/pure Al과 SiCp/2024Al 복합재료 둘 다 건전한 외형과 SiCp의 일정한 분산을 가지면서 SiCp의 균열이 없는 좋은 미세 구조를 가지고 있었다. 그러나 압출비 16:1의 경우에는 체적률이 증가할수록 파괴된 SiC 입자의 수가 증가하였으며 2024Al 기지내의 복합재료와 순수한 Al 기지재 복합재료를 서로 비교하였다. 동일한 체적률과 압출비의 경우에는 SiCp의 크기가 작은 복합재료가 SiCp가 큰 복합재료보다 인장강도가 더 높았다. SiCp/pure Al and SiCp/2024Al MMCs were fabricated by in-situ VHP process designed specially just in this study which is composed of the vacuum hot press at range from R.T. to $500^{\circ}C$ and the continuous extrusion without canning process at $520^{\circ}C$. It was investigated the effect of SiC particle size, volume fraction and extrusion ratio on the tensile properties and micro structure in auf composites. In case of the 10:1 extrusion ratio, but SiCp/pure Al and SiCp/2024Al composites were shown a sound appearance and a good micro structure without crack of SiCp as well as uniform distribution of SiCp. However, in case of the 16:1 extrusion ratio, the number of cracked SiC particles more than increased in a higher volume fraction composite and 2024Al matrix composite compared with pure Al matrix one. The tensile strength of the composites reinforced smaller SiCp was higher than that of the bigger SiCp reinforced in same volume fraction and extrusion ratio.

Mo-Am arch bridge is only the long-span bridge (with 125m span) in the Kyong-Bu high-speed line in service, while other bridges are PSC box girder bridges and steel composite bridges with span lengths of 25~50m. However, in foreign high-speed lines, special cable-supported bridges like cable-stayed bridges and extradosed bridges are being adopted in earnest with technical specifications. The cable supported bridge is recognized as one of the indices of technology in civil engineering field, and thus it is being adpoted with a sense of rivalry in countries with advanced technology in railway engineering. In this paper, to apply the top-level cable-supported bridge technology to the domestic high-speed line up to 400㎞/h by establishing the technical specifications on cable-supported bridges including span length, the requirements for securing the dynamic stability and running safety of high speed train are analyzed through case studies for domestic and foreign cases.

이 연구에서는 근거이론 방법론을 사용하여 댐건설을 둘러싼 갈등상황에서 핵심당사자들에게 무슨 일이 나타나고 있고, 그 결과 그들이 무슨 대응행태를 보이게 되는지를 분석했다. 이를 위해 한탄강댐건설 갈등을 사례로 채택하고 갈등당사자들에 대한 심층인터뷰를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 갈등의 핵심당사자들을 지배하고 있는 중심범주가 `불신`임을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 상대방이 `이기적이고 생각이 모자라다` 는 인식과 `형식적으로 행동하고 솔직하지 않다`는 인식이 불신을 초래하는 인과적 조건을 구성하고 있었다. 그리고 셋째, 불신의 마음은 상황의 불공평에 대한 인식, 이해관계의 직·간접성, 효능감, 인내심시험과 상대방의 능력에 대한 인식, 자신이 수행하는 역할의 정당성 인식, 상대방투시의 결과 그리고 갈등당사자간의 개별적 친교의 정도에 따라서 대화모색, 대결모색, 혹은 상대방 무시라는 행동으로 이어지고 있었다. Using a grounded theory approach, this study investigates what really happens in the minds of pro- and anti-dam-construction leaders in the time of severe conflict, and subsequently how they react to the conflicting situation. This study has selected as its case the Han Tan Gang dam construction project and conducted in-depth interviews with those involved in the conflict concerning the dam construction. The result of the open, axial, and selective coding indicates that, firstly, distrust is the central category for the conflict. Secondly, such distrust is aggravated by the perceptions that the people on the other side are ‘selfish and short-sighted,’ and ‘not frank.’ Finally, distrust ends up groping for dialogue, confrontation, or defiance of the other side being conditioned upon the working of the variables such as the perception about unfairness in the distribution of costs and benefits, the degree of directness and amount of interest involved, the sense of efficacy, the perception about the capability of the other side, the sense of legitimacy, the capability to view the situation from the other’s standpoint, and the degree of personal intimacy.
Determination of Cholesterol by a Diode Laser/Fiber Optic Colorimetric Spectrometer

A simple and inexpensive colorimetric spectrometer for determining total cholesterol has been developed,comprising a diode laser as the light sourcoptical fibers for the light guide and a photodiode as the detector.The stabilty and performance of the new system was investigated by obtaining the calibration curve for stan-dard cholesterol solutions. The total cholesterol in humanserum was also measured by the analyzer and com-pared with the value obtained by a conventional spectrometer. The results showed that the developed spectrometer was useful for the determination of cholesterol levels. The visible diodelaser used in the study exhibited good spectroscopic and operational properties for colorimetric absorption spectrometry and could be a key component for the development of a simple and economical analyzer.
지역난방 2차측 유량변화에 따른 실내온도 변화 및 에너지 사용량 분석

The presented experimental analysis shows that the effects of flow rate of the secondary side of DHS(District Heating System). The results show that increasing flow rate in the secondary side of DHS decreases energy consumption and time to reach set-point of the heated room. The major finding for this effect is that when flow rate increases the overall heat transfer rate of radiant floor also increases. However, the results also show that the overall heat transfer rate is not lineally increased. So, this results show that there is an optimal flow rate for the secondary side of DHS. So, a further study should be conducted on heat flux rate changes with various flow rate in the radiant floor. It is also understood that the control of the radiant floor with hot water could be done more effectively with a combined control strategy including heat flux and temperature set-point. This experimental analysis has been performed using a lab scaled DHS pilot plant located in Jeonju University in Korea.

Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA), formerly known as Wegener’s granulomatosis, is a rare immunological small vessel disease which usually affects respiratory tract and kidneys. However, salivary gland involvement in GPA is rare as a primary manifestation. We report a case of GPA with the primary presentation of submandibular gland involvement. A 48-year-old female patient presented submandibular swelling with a skin defect that lasted for 1 month. Although the biopsy result was chronic inflammation, the skin defect did not heal for a month. Further imaging study revealed multiple lung and renal masses. More clinical manifestations such as gingivitis, ischemic change of finger joint and nasal tip skin, and positive c-ANCA test was presented. Additional biopsy was made at the submandibular gland, lung, and finger skin. The patient was finally diagnosed with GPA and treated with steroid pulse therapy and cyclophosphamide. The patient showed improvement of prior clinical symptoms.
