The aim of the presents study is to investigate and compare the antioxidative effects and qualities of the cultivating root of Cynanchum Wilfori, which is increasingly used in recent days, with those of the wilding root, which has mainly been used in the past in oriental medicine for a tonic and also for prevention and treatment of various geriatric diseases including aging progress. For comparison of their antioxidative effects, the activities of the total extracts on lipid peroxidation and the activity of aldehyde oxidase(EC 1.2.3.1) as well as xanthine oxidase(EC 1.2.3.2) were investigated in vitro. In addition, their inhibitory effects on the activity of 5-lipoxygenase, which is known to induce inflammation and concerned with free radicals, were also determined in vitro. Furthermore, the amino acid contents of both roots were analyzed in order to compare their qualities. The results are as follows: 1. The wilding root inhibited significantly the activity of 5-lipoxygenase, showing five times more portent than the cultivating root. 2. Both of the wilding root and the cultivating root inhibited aldehyde oxidase activity in a dose-dependant manner. The wilding root was more effective than the other. 3. Both of the wilding root and the cultivating root dose-dependently suppressed lipid peroxidation in rat brain, kidney, and liver. 4. The anti-peroxidative effects of both roots appeared to be most strong in brain and least in liver. In particular, the cultivating root exhibited a significant inhibition on brain lipid peroxidation. 5. The cultivating root contained 15 amino acids including five essential amino acids in contrast with the less contents in the wilding root.

The existing solar tracking sensor for 2 axial control system to trace latitude and longitude is made of four phototransistor.The phototransistor-making is difficult and it" smanufacturing is more high-priced than a wide use phototransistor because they have to the same characteristics of each phototransistor output signal. This paper described the algorithm for supplement these weakness. The algorithm applied to signal normalizing method and vector decomposition law. The deviations of each a wide use phototransistor output signal are resolved by signal normalizing method and itis able to make a solartracking sensor using three phototransistor by vector decomposition law. Therefore, in this paper,it is reduced the number of phototransistor that is composed of solar tracking sensor and possible to use a wide use phototransistor by the proposed algorithm.

삼국시대부터 축조되어 전해지는 봉수대는 조선시대에 이르러 크게 발전되어 국방 및 통신 분야에서 중요한 역할을 해왔다. 이러한 봉수대의 선정에 있어서 지형, 지세, 기후 및 산림 등의 자연조건은 중요한 기준이 되었다. 본 연구에서는 부산지역에 위치하는 봉수대 중 연변 봉수대에 대하여 봉수대의 입지를 선정하는 요소들 중 지형과 기후요소를 중심으로 하여 기후요소 중에서 봉수대가 위치하는 연구지역의 운량 및 시정거리의 지수의 연간의 평균결과 값을 산출하여 보았고 봉수대 지형요소에 대한 분석으로 경사(slope), 향(aspect)등을 파악해보고 각 봉수대간의 거리 및 가시권(Visible range)를 파악하여 봉수대의 입지에 대한 특징을 수치적으로 정리해 보고 이들 요소들을 대상으로 통계분석을 실시하여 각 요소들 사이의 상관관계 결과를 바탕으로 미지(未知)의 봉수대의 파악에 있어서의 효율성을 가지는지에 대하여 알아보았다.

N/A Objective : To evaluate the clinical outcomes of pregnancies showing one abnormal glucose tolerance test value. Method : We performed 50 gm glucose challenge test in 5,019 pregnant women at 24-28 weeks of gestation. In 1,170 women with plasma glucose levels over 130 mg/dL, 100 gm oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTTs) were performed at 28-32 weeks of gestation. In the 888 cases who were followed up, according to the National Diabetes Data Group (NDDG) criteria, 122 cases with one abnormal 100 gm OGTT value were divided into three groups (groups 1, 2, 3 : abnormal value after 1, 2, 3 hours, respectively). These were compared with 577 cases (control group) with normal 100 gm OGTT value, retrospectively. Result : The incidence of one abnormal glucose tolerance test value was 2.6%, and there were no cases where the fasting plasma glucose level only was elevated. The incidence (control, group 1, group 2, group 3 : 19.4%, 43.8%, 25.7%, 29.6%) of poor maternal outcomes which contain any one of preeclampsia, hydramnios, cesarean delivery for cephalopelvic disproportion or failure to progress or fetal distress was highest in group 1 (p=0.025). The incidence (15.8%, 43.1%, 14.3%, 21.1%) of poor perinatal outcomes which contain any one of fetal distress, Apgar score of 5 minute < 7, hypoglycemia, respiratory distress syndrome, small for gestational age, perinatal death was also highest in group 1 (p=0.009). Logistic regression analysis for poor maternal outcomes showed odds ratio of 2.83 (95% confidence interval 1.02-7.87) in group 1 and 2.08 (95% confidence interval 1.22-3.55) in group 3, and for poor perinatal outcomes odds ratio of 4.24 (95% confidence interval 1.02-17.52) in group 1 and 3.30 (95% confidence interval 1.45- 7.48) in group 3. Conclusion : Pregnancies complicated with one abnormal glucose tolerance test value, particularly the group showing abnormal glucose tolerance test value after 1 or 3 hour exhibited adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes.

본 논문은 다기능 미소유체시스템의 일체형 패키징을 위한 MSI (microfluidic system interface) 기술을 제안하고, 이를 설계, 제작, 시험 평가하였다. MSI 기술을 통해 플러그 방식의 유체 인터커넥터, 유체제어를 위한 미소밸브, 광학 인터페이스를 위한 광학창을 유체시스템에 일체형으로 쉽게 구현할 수 있었다. MSI 기술의 유용성을 보이기 위해 미소 유전자시료전처리시스템에 적용되었으며, 미소 유전자시료전처리시스템은 세포정제, 세포분리, 세포용해, DNA 고체상추출, 중합효소연쇄반응, 그리고 모세관전기영동 기능으로 구성되었다. 나아가 MSI 기술이 적용된 미소 유전자시료전처리시스템의 DNA 고체상추출 및 중합효소연쇄반응의 실험결과로부터 MSI가 미소유체시스템을 위한 실용적 패키징 기술임이 검증되었다. This paper presents the technology for the design, fabrication, and characterization of a microfluidic system interface (MSI); the purpose of this technology is to enable the integration of complex microfluidic systems. The MSI technology can be applied in a simple manner for realizing complex arrangements of microfluidic interconnects, integrated microvalves for fluid control, and optical windows for on-chip optical processes. A microfluidic system for the preparation of genetic samples was used as the test vehicle to prove the effectiveness of the MSI technology for packaging complex microfluidic systems with multiple functionalities. The miniaturized genetic sample preparation system comprised several functional compartments, including compartments for cell purification, cell separation, cell lysis, solid-phase DNA extraction, polymerase chain reaction, and capillary electrophoresis. Additionally, the functional operation of the solid-phase extraction and PCR thermocycling compartments was demonstrated by using the MSI.
