        신축 공공도서관의 지위적 역할에 따른 규모와 지역 특성에 따른 건립공사비 기준에 관한 연구

        As the functions and roles of public libraries expand, it is time for qualitative growth. In order to improve the quality of public libraries, it is important to plan actual construction costs through systematic feasibility study. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present the guideline of construction costs considering the size and regional characteristics according to the status role of the new public libraries. The construction costs are based on actual data. The results of the study are as follows. First, we derived the analysis framework according to the size and regional characteristics. The status role of the public libraries was considered theoretically. The size was classified according to status role of the public libraries. Regional characteristics were classified through literature review. Through this, an analysis framework was derived according to size and region. Second, the actual data on construction costs of the new public libraries were examined and analyzed. Basic factors, size, area, and construction costs were analyzed for 285 libraries nationwide that opened from 2010 to 2016. The data of 129 newly opened public libraries were classified. To present construction costs depending on price fluctuation, construction cost index was analyzed as of September 2016. Third, a guideline of construction costs for new public libraries was suggested. The construction cost per 1㎡ of building area was analyzed. By multiplying 116.70(p), the construction cost index, the construction cost per 1㎡ of total building area was calculated to be 2,472,350 won. When applying the research result, construction costs can be gained by adding construction cost index of the month.

        위화(胃火) 1호(號)로 호전(好轉)된 만성위염(慢性胃炎) 환자(患者) 치험(治驗) 2례(例)

        Objective: This study was designed to investigate the effect of Wihwa herbal-acupuncture on chronic gastritis. Methods: Wihwa herbal-acupuncture was administered two times a week. The following points were selected: CV12(中脘), CV13(上脘), S36(足三里), Liv3(太衝). We checked pain rating score(P.R.S.), visual analogue scale (V.A.S.) and Gastroscopy. Results: After 6 weeks of treatment, the patient showed that clinical symtoms was disappeared, Lee's P.R.S. changed from 77 to 8 and Park's P.R.S. from 55 to 0 and gastric erosion disappeared on gastroscopy. Conclusions: These results suggest that and Wihwa herbal-acupuncture has good effect on chronic gastritis. But further studies are required to concretely prove the effectiveness of Wihwa herbal-acupuncture for treating chronic gastritis.

        CO<sub>2</sub> capture from humid flue gases and humid atmosphere using a microporous coppersilicate

        <P><B>Grabbing CO<SUB>2</SUB> from wet gas streams</B></P><P>It is a challenge to extract CO<SUB>2</SUB> from typical gas streams, such as the flue gas from a power plant. This is because any water in the stream tends to prevent CO<SUB>2</SUB> absorption and may also degrade the absorbing material. Datte <I>et al.</I> developed a microporous copper silicate that avoids these problems. Most other materials have sites that absorb both water and CO<SUB>2</SUB> at the same sites, and in that fight, the water tends to win. Although their material still absorbs water, it has separate sites for the CO<SUB>2</SUB> absorption. It also shows good stability despite the absorbed water and can be reused.</P><P><I>Science</I>, this issue p. 302</P><P>Capturing CO<SUB>2</SUB> from humid flue gases and atmosphere with porous materials remains costly because prior dehydration of the gases is required. A large number of microporous materials with physical adsorption capacity have been developed as CO<SUB>2</SUB>-capturing materials. However, most of them suffer from CO<SUB>2</SUB> sorption capacity reduction or structure decomposition that is caused by co-adsorbed H<SUB>2</SUB>O when exposed to humid flue gases and atmosphere. We report a highly stable microporous coppersilicate. It has H<SUB>2</SUB>O-specific and CO<SUB>2</SUB>-specific adsorption sites but does not have H<SUB>2</SUB>O/CO<SUB>2</SUB>-sharing sites. Therefore, it readily adsorbs both H<SUB>2</SUB>O and CO<SUB>2</SUB> from the humid flue gases and atmosphere, but the adsorbing H<SUB>2</SUB>O does not interfere with the adsorption of CO<SUB>2</SUB>. It is also highly stable after adsorption of H<SUB>2</SUB>O and CO<SUB>2</SUB> because it was synthesized hydrothermally.</P>

        하수처리장 적용을 위한Semi-카플란 수차가 장착된 마이크로수력발전 시스템

        소수력발전은 하수처리장 에너지 자립을 위한 효과적인 대안이다. 본 연구는 유량변동이 크고 유효낙차가 낮은 중소형하수처리장(기흥레스피아) 적용을 위해 피치조절형 세미카플란(semi-kaplan) 마이크로수력발전의 적용 타당성을 평가하였다. 가변피치 semi-kaplan 수차는 유량조절을 위한 가이드베인은 생략하고 피치조절형 런너를 장착하여 기계적 결함은 줄이면서 유량변동이 큰 처리장에 특화된 기술이다. 마이크로수력발전 시스템은 설계조건(유량 0.35 m3/s, 유효낙차 4.7 m)에서 90.2%의 수차효율 달성이 가능하였고 발전용량은 13.4 kW로 산정되었다. 설비가동률 74%로 가동 시 연간 약 86.8 MWh 에너지 생산을 통해 2.1%의 에너지 자립이 가능하고 이는 연간 49톤의 CO₂ 감축효과와 맞먹는다. 경제성 평가결과 초기 건설공사비가 200,000,000원 이하인 경우에는 내부수익률은 6.1%, 순현가는 15,539,000원, 편익-비용률은 1.08, 투자회수년은 15.5년으로 경제성이 충분한 것으로 나타났다. Small scale hydropower is one of most attractive and cost-effective energy technologies for installation within sewage treatment plants. This study was conducted to evaluate the potential of a semi-kaplan micro-hydropower (MHP) system for application to sewage treatment plants with high flow fluctuations and a low head. The semi-kaplan MHP is equipped with an adjustable runner blade, and is without a guide vane, so as to reduce the incidence of mechanical problems. A MHP rating 13.4 kWp with a semi-kaplan turbine has been considered for Kiheung Respia sewage treatment plant, and this installation is estimated to generate 86.8 MWh of electricity annually, which is enough to supply electricity to over 25 households, and equivalent to an annual reduction of 49 ton CO₂. The semi-kaplan turbine showed a 90.2% energy conversion efficiency at the design flow rate of 0.35 m3/s and net head of 4.7 m, and was adaptable to a wide range of flow fluctuations. Through the MHP operation, approximately 2.1% of total electricity demand of Kiheung Respia sewage treatment plant will be achievable. Based on financial analysis, an exploiting MHP is considered economically acceptable with an internal rate of return of 6.1%, net present value of 15,539,000 Korean Won, benefit- cost ratio of 1.08, and payback year of 15.5, respectively, if initial investment cost is 200,000,000 Korean Won.

        오공약침의 안전성에 대한 임상적 연구

        Objective: Recently scolopendrid aquacupuncture has been a good effect on pain control but it has not been known about clinical safety. So, In order to prove the clinical safety of scolopendrid aquacupuncture, We have observed the physical reac-tion and clinical pathology test after scolopendrid aquacupuncture treatment. Methods: We analyzed physical reaction and clinical pathology test before and after Scolopendrid aquacupuncture treatment of 30 patients suffering from pain, who admitted department of Acupunture and Moxibustion, College of Oriental Medicine, Won-Kwang University Kwangju hospital. Results & Conclusions: The results were summarized as follows. 1) The distribution of sex was 14 males and 16 females, and the average of patients age was 46.2 years. 2) The distribution of symptom was lumbago, lumbago with radiating pain, nuchal pain and knee joint pain. 3) In the 30 patients treated with Scolopendrid aquacupuncture, hematologic test did not show remarkable change. 4) In the 30 patients treated with Scolopendrid aquacupuncture, Liver function test(AST, ALT, ALP) showed a slight decrease on the contrary, and abnormal rate showed a decrease of 1.0%(from 3.3% to 2.3%) compared with previous study. 5) In the 30 patients treated with Scolopendrid aquacupuncture, Renal function test(BUN, Cr) and abnormal rate(from 2.5% to 2.0%) showed a slight decrease on the contrary. 6) In the 30 patients treated with Scolopendrid aquacupuncture. Electrolyte were normal range before & after treatment. 7) In the results of the Urine analysis of 30 patients, Leukocyte, Protein. Glucose, Keton, Bilirubin, U-bilinogen were not detected before and after Scolopendrid aquacupuncture treatment, and the rest almost made no difference. 8) In the Physical reactions, all of the patients complained of pain of body partially, only one patient showed reddish and itch, but symptoms like those were entirely disappeared within 24 hours and whole body pain, swelling, headache, dizziness, fatigue and nausea was not observed.

        Recovery Effects from Oxidative Cell Damage by So-Hap-Hyang-Won on Bovine Aortic Endothelial Cells (BAEC)

        So-Hap-Hyang-Won, a traditional oriental medicine used in the treatment of stroke patients, was examined for its ability to reverse the cell damage caused by lipid peroxidation products and oxidative stress in bovine aortic endothelial cells (BAEC). The effects of herbal medicine on cell proliferation and recovery of oxidative damaged situation were studied in BAEC, which was considered an appropriate in vitro model for stroke resulting from various vascular diseases prevalent in advanced age. In a clinical study of stroke patients, So-Hap-Hyang-Won appeared to improve considerably arm and leg movements as well as consciousness disturbance condition, compared with other traditional medicines used for stroke. When BAEC were treated with extracts of the lyophilized herbal medicines, only that of So-Hap-Hyang-Won stimulated cell proliferation and showed no toxicity even at high concentrations. In studies of BAEC treated with extracts of the lyophilized material of the 14 components of So-Hap-Hyang-Won, only the extract of Foeniculi Fructus stimulated cell growth at all concentrations tested. Moreover, when cells were treated with Foeniculi Fructus (10 and 100 mg/ml) extract after prior exposure to t-BHP ($l0\mu\textrm{M}$) or HNE ($0.2\mu\textrm{M}$), lipid peroxidation products which are known to be involved in aging and vascular diseases, or after the exposure to SIN-l ($500\mu\textrm{M}$), which generates nitric oxide (NO) and other reactive oxygen species, there was substantial recovery from the oxidative damage, presumably due to the radical-scavenging effect of Foeniculi Fructus extract. Foeniculi Fructus not only showed stimulatory effects on cell growth and cell damage repair in BAEC, but also appeared to show the most anti-aging activity among all the herbal components of So-Hap-Hyang-Won.

        우황청심원(牛黃淸心元)이 저산소증 유발 배양신경세포에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the effects of Woohwangcheongsim-won on neuronal death of hypoxic E18 cortical neuroblast. Methods : To evaluate the effect of Woohwangcheongsim-won on neuronal death caused by hypoxia, the survival rate of E18 cortical neuroblast was measured with MTT assay and the changes of several synaptic proteins and enzymes were investigated with the immunoblot assays. Results : The E18 cortical neuroblasts were added 50, 100, 500, 1,000, and $5,000{\mu}g/ml$ Woohwangcheongsim-won. They showed neurotoxicity, when the concentration of Woohwangcheongsim-won was above $1,000{\mu}g/ml$. The E18 cortical neuroblasts, which were added 50, 100, and $500{\mu}g/ml$ Woohwangcheongsim-won, were exposed 98% $N_2/5%\;CO_2$ for 3 hours to induce hypoxia, 3 days later, the survival rate of $50{\mu}g/ml$ Woohwangcheongsim-won was 141.5% when compared to the control group. On the immuneblot assays, the expressions of ${\alpha}$CaMKII, NR2A, NR28, PDE2, PSD-95, and eEF-$1{\alpha}$ were increased in normoxia, but those of NR2A, NR2B were decreased in hypoxia when compared to the control group. Conclusions : The data shows that the effects of Woohwangcheongsim-won on neuronal death of hypoxic E18 cortical neuroblast is a significant result.

        Overexpression of mutant HSP27 causes axonal neuropathy in mice

        <P><B>Background</B></P><P>Mutations in heat shock 27 kDa protein 1 (HSP27 or HSPB1) cause distal hereditary motor neuropathy (dHMN) or Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2 F (CMT2F) according to unknown factors. Mutant HSP27 proteins affect axonal transport by reducing acetylated tubulin.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>We generated a transgenic mouse model overexpressing HSP27-S135F mutant protein driven by Cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate early promoter. The mouse phenotype was similar to dHMN patients in that they exhibit motor neuropathy. To determine the phenotypic aberration of transgenic mice, behavior test, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electrophysiological study, and pathology were performed. Rotarod test showed that founder mice exhibited lowered motor performance. MRI also revealed marked fatty infiltration in the anterior and posterior compartments at calf level. Electrophysiologically, compound muscle action potential (CMAP) but not motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) was reduced in the transgenic mice. Toluidine staining with semi-thin section of sciatic nerve showed the ratio of large myelinated axon fiber was reduced, which might cause reduced locomotion in the transgenic mice. Electron microscopy also revealed abundant aberrant myelination. Immunohistochemically, neuronal dysfunctions included elevated level of phosphorylated neurofilament and reduced level of acetylated tubulin in the sural nerve of transgenic mice. There was no additional phenotype besides motor neuronal defects.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>Overexpression of HSP27-S135F protein causes peripheral neuropathy.         Bootstrap Inference on the Poisson Rates for Grouped Data

        We present how bootstrap methods can be used to conduct inference on the rates of Poisson distributions when only the grouped data are available. A theoretical justification for the validity of bootstrap is given with an illustration of proposed method using a data set obtained fro ma pathology laboratory test. Traditional asymptotic methods are compared with bootstrap methods in computing the estimated standard errors and achieved significance levels for one sample and two sample tests. Bootstrap methods are shown to possess a nice property that he small sample distribution of the relevant statistics can be readily obtained from the bootstrap copies.
