        익상편조직의 섬유모세포에 미치는 사이클로스포린의 영향

        Purpose: To evaluate the response and cellular damage of cultured human pterygial cells according to the concentration and exposure time of topical cyclosporin. Methods: Human pterygial cells were exposed to a cyclosporin A concentrations of 0.1 μg/ml (0.0001%), 1 μg/ml (0.0001%), 10 μg/ml (0.001%), 100 μg/ml (0.01%), or 500 μg/ml (0.05%) for 5 or 10 minutes. An MTT-based colorimetric assay was performed to assess the metabolic activity of cellular proliferation, and a lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) leakage assay was used to determine cellular damage. The extra-cellular matrix of PIP, laminin and MMP were evaluated, and the measurement of pro-inflammatory cytokine, TNF-α and IL-1b. IL-6, IL-8 was performed using ELISA kits. Results: The pterygial cellular inhibitory effect of cyclosporin was similar to that of the control according to the concentration and exposure time (p > 0.05). Compared with the control, the level of LDH did not show a statistically significant difference between concentration and exposure time (p > 0.05). There was no significant difference of inhibitory effects by PIP, laminin, or MMP between the experimental and control groups (p > 0.05). The production of TNF-α and IL from the experimental pterygial cells due to the effect of cyclosporin was not significantly different from that of the control at a longer exposure time or stronger concentration (p > 0.05). Conclusions: The response of pterygial cells to topical cyclosporin A at concentrations less than 0.05% for less than 10 minutes of exposure time showed no prevention of pterygial recurrence. With regard to cellular damage, little effects on inhibition of PIP, laminin, MMP, IL, and TNF-α were observed compared with that of the control. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2012;53(3):466-472

        정상 및 원추각막에서 각막 전, 후면의 융기 및 시상면만곡도의 비교분석

        Purpose: To compare changes of anterior and posterior corneal elevation, and sagittal curvature according to the severity of keratoconus and to compare differences between keratoconus and normal cornea. Methods: A total of 81 eyes diagnosed with keratoconus and 20 eyes of normal subjects were evaluated with a Pentacam Scheimpflug camera. The keratoconus eyes were divided into 3 groups according to mean keratometer (K): mild (K ≤ 47.0 diopters (D)), moderate (47.0 to 52.0 D), and severe (52.0 D≥). The following parameters were obtained to evaluate the correlation of keratoconus: corneal thickness, anterior and posterior corneal elevation, and sagittal curvature. Results: Out of 81 keratoconus eyes, 56 eyes were mild, 12 eyes were moderate, and 13 eyes were severe keratoconus. The mean central corneal keratometer, anterior and posterior corneal elevation, and sagittal curvature of the keratoconus eyes were 49.7 D, 22.07 μm, 38.16 μm, 52.76 D and the values increased statistically compared to the normal eyes. Furthermore, the values increased significantly with the severity of keratoconus. ROC curve analysis showed the estimated meaningful value for anterior and posterior corneal elevation and sagittal curvature of keratoconus for diagnosis; there were no diagnostic values for corneal thickness and refractive power. Conclusions: The index of 5.5 μm for mean anterior elevation, 12.5 μm for mean posterior elevation, and 44.5 μm for mean sagittal curvature using the PentacamⓇ are useful to diagnose keratoconus. Variation of anterior and posterior elevation, and sagittal curvature measured by PentacamⓇ are useful in understanding the process of keratoconus. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2012;53(10):1432-1437

        $\beta$-galactosidase를 강력하게 생산하는 호알칼리성, 고온성 세균 TA-11를 부엽토에서 분리하여 Bacillus sp. TA-11로 동정 하였다. Bacillus sp. TA-11에 의한 $\beta$-galactosidase 생산은 lactose 1.5%, peptone과 yeast ext. 각각 0.4%, $MgSO_4$ 0.2%, $NH_4$CL 0.05% 및 NaCl 0.2% 등을 함유한 배지의 pH를 10.0으로 하여 시험균을 접종한후 $50^{\circ}C$에서 2일간 진탕배양 하였을 때 가장 좋았다. A alkalophilic, thermophilic bacterium TA-11 which produce $\beta$-galactosidase highly was isolated from compost and identified to the genus Bacillus. $\beta$-galactosidase production was maximized when it was incubated in synthetic medium containing 1.5% lactose. 0.4% peptone, 0.4% teast ext., 0.2% $MgSO_4$ 0.05% $NH_4$Cl and 0.2% NacL(initial pH; 10.0) at $50^{\circ}C$ for 2 days in reciprocal shaker.

      • 유두체가 손상된 횐쥐 암컷의 난소와 자궁 무게

        흰쥐 암컷 29 마리를 세 무리로 나누어 한 무리에서는 유두체에 둔 전극을 거쳐 직류전류를 흘림으로써 유두체를 파괴하였으며 (유두체군), 다른 한 무리에서는 모든 조작을 유두체군에서와 마찬가지로 시행하였으나 전류는 흘리지 않았고 (수술대조군), 나머지 한 무리는 정상대조군으로 삼았다. 수술이 끝난 한 달후 세무리의 난소와 자궁을 떼어 조사하였으나 위축된 모습을 나타낸 개체는 없었으며, 유두체군, 수술대조군 및 정상대조군 사이에 난소와 자궁의 무게에 있어서 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그러므로 유두체가 여성의 성선자극 호르몬 생산에 관여한다는 증거는 찾을 수 없었다. In order to see whether the mamillary bodies participate in the control of female gonadotrophic function, 12 female rats in which the mamillary bodies were damaged by passing 0.3 ma direct cur-rent through stereotaxically implanted electrodes, 8 rats which received the same treatment except passage of current, and 9 normal rats were prepared. One month after the operation, all animals were sacrificed and their brain lesions checked histologically, their ovaries and uteri examined and weighed. The ovaries and uteri showed neither atrophic changes in any animal, nor significant differences in the weight among the 3 groups. Thus the results do not support the idea that the mamillary bo-dies are implicated in the control of female gonadotrophic function.

        길쌈부호기를 이용한 LDPC 패리티검사 행렬생성 및 비터비 복호 연계 LDPC 복호기

        본 논문은 오류정정부호의 하나인 LDPC 패리티검사 행렬을 생성 하는 방법에 관한 논문으로 또 다른 오류정정부호의 하나인 길쌈부호를 이용하여 LDPC 패리티검사 행렬을 생성하면 터보부호처럼 LDPC 부호에서도 다양한 부호율을 쉽게 얻을 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 또한 복호기에서 LDPC에서의 복호방식 뿐 아니라 길쌈부호의 복호방식인 비터비알고리즘도 적용할 수 있는 장점을 가진다. 또한 보통의 오류정정부호의 경우 프레임크기가 커야 오류정정성능이 안정적으로 나오는데, 새로 제시하는 방식을 통해 프레임크기가 작은 부호의 경우에도 성능열화를 어느 정도 막을 수 있다. In this paper, we suggest a new technique for WPC parity-check matrix (H-matrix) generation and a corresponding decoding process. The key idea is to construct WPC H-matrix by using a convolutional encoder. It is easy to have many different coderates from a mother code with convolutional codes. However, it is difficult to have many different coderates with LDPC codes. Constructing LDPC Hmatrix based on a convolutional code can easily bring the advantage of convolutional codes to have different coderates. Moreover, both LDPC and convolutional decoding algorithms can be applied altogether in the decoding part. This process prevents the performance degradation of short-length WPC code.

        비등을 수반하는 발열면에 충돌하는 수분류의 임계열유속에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this paper is to investigate a critical heat flux(CHF) during forced convective subcooled and saturated boiling in free water jet system impinged on a rectangular heated surface. The surface is supplied with subcooled or saturated water through a rectangular jet. Experimental parameters studied are a width of heated surface, a height of supplementary water and a degree of subcooling. Incipient boiling point is observed in the temperature of 6${\~}8^{\circ}C$ of superheat of test specimen. CHF depends on jet velocity for various boiling-involved coolant system. CHF also is proportional to the nozzle exit velocity to the power of n, where n is 0.55 and 0.8 for subcooled and saturated boiling, respectively. CHF is enhanced with a higher jet velocity, higher degree of subcooling and smaller width of a heated surface.
