미니총설 : 바이오플라스틱 생산 미생물 플랫폼 제작을 위한 대사공학 전략 개발

환경오염, 기후변화, 고갈되어가는 화석원료에 대한 문제를 해결하기 위해 재생가능한 자원으로부터 케미칼 및 고분자 등의 산업자원을 생산하는 친환경 공정개발에 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 최근에 재생가능한 바이오매스로부터 다양한 케미칼 및 고분자 등을 생산하는 바이오리파이너리 공정이 많은 관심을 받고 있으며, 석유화학기반산업을 보완 혹은 대체할 가능성이 매우 높은 친환경공정으로 생각되고 있다. 본 총설에서는 바이오리파이너리 공정에 핵심적인 촉매로 사용되고 있는 재조합 미생물의 개발의 최근 동향을 바이오나일론, 바이오폴리에스터의 생산을 위하여 개발되고 있는 재조합 미생물의 대사공학전략을 중심으로 살펴보고자 한다. As the concerns about environmental problems, climate change and limited fossil resources increase, bio-based production of chemicals and polymers from renewable resources gains much attention as one of the promising solutions to deal with these problems. To solve these problems, much effort has been devoted to the development of sustainable process using renewable resources. Recently, many chemicals and polymers have been synthesized by biorefinery process and these bio-based chemicals and plastics have been suggested as strong candidates to substitute petroleum-based products. In this review, we discuss current advances on the development of metabolically engineered microorganisms for the efficient production of bio-based chemicals and polymers.

Background and Objectives: We previously reported that, compared with standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation(S-CPR), better hemodynamic effects could be achieved by simultaneous sterno-thoracic cardiopulmonary resuscitation(SST-CPR) in which we compressed the sternum and constricted the thorax circumferentially during the systolic period by using a device. This study was designed to assess whether SST-CPR, compared with S-CPR, improve the survival rate of dogs with cardiac arrest. Subjects and methods: Twenty-five mongrel dogs(19∼31㎏) were enrolled in this study. After four minutes of ventricular fibrillation induced by an AC current, animals were randomized to resuscitate with either S-CPR(n=13) or SST-CPR(n=12). Epinephrine(1 ㎎) was injected into the right atrium every three minutes after the beginning of CPR. Defibrillation was attempted after 6 minutes of CPR. Standard advanced cardiac life support was started if defibrillation was not successful. Results: SST-CPR resulted in significantly(p<0.001) higher systolic arterial pressure(91±47 vs 47±24 ㎜ Hg), diastolic pressure(43±24 vs 17±10 ㎜ Hg), coronary perfusion pressure(35±25 vs 13±9㎜ Hg), and end tidal CO2 tension(9±4 vs 3±2 ㎜ Hg). Two of 13 animals(15 %) resuscitated with S-CPR and six of 12 animals(50%) resuscitated with SST-CPR survived until 12 hours after cardiac arrest(p<0.05). Donclusion: SST-CPR, compared with S-CPR, improves the short-term survival rate in canine cardiac arrest.

PWM converter has better power factor and low harmonic components than conventional diode rectifiers and phase controlled rectifier. Also the DC link voltage can be regulated fast and stable against the variation in the load. In order to regulate for DC link voltage, rapid current control is need for source current control. This paper focuses on the improvement of quickness of current controller to know the transient state characteristics of regulated DC link voltage against the variation in the load. To do this, it is adopted to three phase voltage type PWM converter with space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM) method and synchronously rotating d, q axis current. Each d, q axis current is controlled independently. To control d, q axis current, Current control methods to be applied in system are PI current control and Predictive current control respectively. As a result, Transient response characteristic of Predictive current controller is superior to PI current controller.
급성 심근경색증에 합병된 유두근파열로 인한 승모판 폐쇄부전 1예

저자들은 급성 심근경색증에 합병된 완전 유두근 파열로 인한 승포판 폐쇄부전에 대해 조기에 승모판 대치술을 시행하여 성공적인 결과를 얻었던 1예를 치험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Mitral Regurgitation caused by papillary muscle rupture in acute myocardial infarction is rare and about 1~5% of myocardial rupture after acute myocardial infarction is reported. Its clinical characteristics are severe chest pain, shortness of breath, cardiogenic shock, apical systolic murmur, ventricular or atrial gallops and usually occurs 2~7 days after the onset of acute myocardial infarction with mortality rate over 80% within 3 days. The posteromedial papillary muscle is 2~12 times more frequently involved than anterolateral papillary muscle because of its single blood supply. Fortunately the infarction size is small and limited to the subendocardium rather than transmural area. Thus good left ventricular function is maintained and viable myocardium is large and so operation is feasible. Because the postoperative mortality is primarily due to recurrent myocardial infarction and inadequate myocardial function, mitral valve replacement with coronary artery bypass graft is desirable. We report here a case of mitral regurgitation caused by papillary muscle rupture in acute myocardial infarction of 56 years old female and review the literatures.
