        미혼여성의 영양소 권장량과 섭취량·체질량 지수와의 상관관계

        The aim of this study was to investigate the various forms of diet and energy intake, total nutrients intake of daily energy and the changes of building up a meal habit for unmarried women to be slender. For achieving this study, first of all, I selected 50 unmarried women 22∼29 in age, and calculated the exhortative quantity and nutrients intake of each nutrition substance, by means of experimenting 24 hours recollections for each nutrients intake and body mass index. I came to the following conclusion after investigating the body mass index gained by body measure and correlations and nutrients significant on nutrients intake and exhortative quantity. 1. Examing the difference from the exhortative quantity and nutrients intake in unmarried women group of this study, I concluded that the nutrients intake showed less than the exhortative quantity in calorie, very little in protein, and deficient in fat intake. Also the intake carbohydrate, calcium and iron content of the main nutrition showed less than the exhortative quantity, and much in phosphorus, vitamin A, and vitamin C. And there was non-significants with vitamin B_1 and vitamin B_2 The total differences showed nearly the same as calorie(p<0.01), fat(p<0.05), calcium(p<0.05), phosphorus(p<0.01), vitamin A(p<0.01), niacin(p<0.05), and vitamin C(p<0.01) in general nutritive substance. 2. The relation with body weight and age as physical characteristics, the body mass index showed significants to the age. 3. The correlation between the body mass index and each nutrients intake in unmarried women group of this study showed very little differences in other nutrition, but showed significants correlation in vitamin A(p<0.05), and vitamin C(p<0.01).

        일 도시 지역 주민들의 우울증상과 사회적 요인에 관한 연구

        Objectives This study aimed to examine the prevalence of depressive symptoms and the correlates of social factors and life stress in an urban population. Methods 932 residents of Yangcheongu, Seoul were selected using multi-phasic cluster sampling method to represent each district. Trained interviewers visited each separate household individually and collected self-reported questionnaires, which represent socio-demographic characteristics of community residents. The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D) was used to evaluate depressive symptoms (CES-D score over 21). Global Assessment of Recent stress (GARS) was used to evaluate life stress level. Results The prevalence of depressive symptoms in men was 11.8%, while in women it was 14.1%. Depressive symptoms were higher in divorced or separated persons, those with lower family incomes, high self-assessed level of stress scores, and frequent alcohol drinking patterns. In a multivariate logistic regression analysis, high level of stress scores was independently associated with depressive symptoms. Sudden changes in relationship, sickness/injury and ordinary daily stress subscales were significantly associated with depressive symptoms when other subscales were controlled.         Effect of Coenzyme Q10 Supplementation in Statin-Treated Obese Rats

        Statins, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, are known to cause serious muscle injuries (e.g. myopathy, myositis and rhabdomyolysis), and these adverse effects can be rescued by co-administration of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) with statins. The goal of the current research is to assess the efficacy of combined treatment of CoQ10 with Atorvastatin for hyperlipidemia induced by high-fat diet in SD rats. 4-week-old Sprague-Dawley male rats were fed normal diet or high-fat diet for 6 weeks. Then, rats were treated with either Statin or Statin with various dosages of CoQ10 (30, 90 or 270 mg/kg/day, p.o.) for another 6 weeks. Compared to Statin onlytreatment, CoQ10 supplementation significantly reduced creatine kinase and aspartate aminotransferase levels in serum which are markers for myopathy. Moreover, CoQ10 supplementation with Statin further reduced total fat, triglycerides, total cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol. In contrast, the levels of high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol and CoQ10 were increased in the CoQ10 co-treated group. These results indicate that CoQ10 treatment not only reduces the side effects of Statin, but also has an anti-obesity effect. Therefore an intake of supplementary CoQ10 is helpful for solving problem of obese metabolism, so the multiple prescription of CoQ10 makes us think a possibility that can be solved in being contiguous to the obesity problem, a sort of disease of the obese metabolism.

        Feasibility of the Korean version of the Bipolar Depression Rating Scale in Adolescents with Early-Onset Bipolar Disorder

        Objective: This study explores the feasibility and psychometric properties of the Korean version of the Bipolar Depression Rating Scale (BDRS) in adolescents with Early-onset bipolar disorders. Methods: Fifty-three participants (aged 13–18) with early-onset bipolar disorders (40 depressed and 18 euthymic, 5 patients were assessed at depressed state and reassessed after remission) were recruited. All participants were assessed using the BDRS, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D), the Montgomery-Asperg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS), the Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS), and the Modified Overt Aggression scale (MOAS). Results: BDRS exhibited good internal validity and significant correlations with the HAM-D and the MADRS. In item to scale correlations, all items on the BDRS were significantly correlated with the BDRS total scores except for ‘increased motor drive’ and ‘increased speech’, ‘depressed mood’ and ‘worthlessness’ showed the highest mean scores and endorsement rates. BDRS score of the depressed group was significantly higher compared with the euthymic group. Three factors (i.e., psychosomatic, mood, and mixed) were identified in the principal component analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis of the BDRS. Conclusion: In this study, we report that the Korean version of BDRS is a feasible and reliable tool for the assessment of depression in adolescents with Early-onset bipolar disorders.

        녹차 카테킨류의 pH에 대한 안정성 연구

        시중에 유통되고 있는 녹차중의 catechin류에 대하여 열수추출 및 HPLC 분석을 통하여 함량을 조사하고 이를 효율적으로 이용하기 위하여 pH조건이 녹차 catechin류의 안정성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 분석하였다. 시판 중인 전남 보성산 녹차의 catechin류 함량은 (+)-catechin > (-)-EGCg > (-)-EGC > (-)-EC > (-)-ECg 순으로 추출되었고 Total catechin류의 함량은 103.72 ㎎/g이었다. 녹차에서 분리·정제되어진 catechin류인 (+)-catechin, (-)-EC, (-)-ECg, (-)-EGCg를 pH 3∼11에 대한 안정성을 흡광도측정장치를 이용하여 측정하였다. 그 결과 catechin류의 pH에 대한 영향을 최대흡수파장 및 흡광도 변화로 보면 pH가 높을수록 (+)-catechin과 (-)-EC은 흡광도가 증가되었고, (-)-ECg와 (-)-EGCg는 최대흡수파장이 증가되었다. 또한 7일간 실온에서 저장하면서 기간에 따른 변화를 살펴본 결과에서 산성조건에서는 큰 변화가 없지만 알칼리조건에서는 흡광도가 증가되었다. (+)-catechin과 (-)-EC은 알칼리조건에서 흡수파장 400∼430 ㎚에서 저장기간이 길수록 흡광도가 증가되었다. 이는 녹차의 갈변과 관계가 있을 것으로 생각되었다. 이상의 결과로, 녹차 Catechin 유도체의 pH 및 저장기간에 대한 영향은 ECg, EGCg에 gallic acid의 결합에 의한 것으로 생각되고, C, EC의 불안정은 중합반응으로 생각된다. 녹차 catechin 류는 대부분 산성에서 저장기간이 길고 안정한 것으로 나타났으나 생리활성이 강한 (-)-EGCg는 산성에서도 불안정한 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 녹차의 기능성 성분을 효율적으로 이용하기 위해서는 pH를 낮게 유지하여야 할 것으로 사료되어진다. The five main green tea catechin components such as (+)-catechin, (-)-epicatechin, (-)-epigallocatechin, (-)-epicatechin gallate, and (-)-epigallocatechin gallate were analyzed quantitatively from commercial green tea by HPLC. Amounts of catechins decreased in the following order : (+)-catechin > (-)-epigallocatechin gallate > (-)-epigallocatechin > (-)-epicatechin > (-)-epicatechin gallate. In this study, the stability of the following green tea catechins to pH in the range from 3 to 11 was studied using of ultraviolet spectroscopy : (+)-catechin, (-)-epicatechin, (-)-epicatechin gallate, and (-)-epigallocatechin gallate. This study demonstrated that green tea catechins were not stable at high pH and that the pH-, and time-dependent spectral alternatives were not reversible. In conclusion, low pH is important to maintain the efficient utilization of green tea catechins.

        생강나무 추출물의 항산화 활성과 미백효과

        In this study we investigated antioxidant activity of against several free radicals and skin whitening effect of 70% ethanol extract (leaf extracts and branch/stem mixed) of Lindera obtusiloba BL. Antioxidant activity was assessed by DPPH, superoxide radical and hydroxyl radical assays. The Lindera obtusiloba BL. extract had antioxidant activity dose dependently with an ${IC}_{50}$ value of 243.14 and 181.10 ${\mu}g$/ml for DPPH, 165.77 and >1500 ${\mu}g$/ml for non-enzymatic system of superoxide radical assay, 35.47 and >100 ${\mu}g$/ml for enzymatic system of superoxide radical assay, 1.21 mg/ml for hydroxyl radical assay. In addition we tested tyrosinase inhibition activity and melanin contents on B16 melanoma F10. B16 melanoma cell was treated by such sample as 1, 5, 10 and 50 ${\mu}g$/ml for 72 hr and tyrosinase inhibition was tested. Melanogenesis was inhibited to 22% at the dose of 50 ${\mu}g$/ml and tyrosinase was inhibited to 45.2% at the same dose. In conclusion Lindera obtusiloba BL had potent antioxidant activity and inhibitory activity of tyrosinase and melanin formation. It could be developed as the health functional food and functional cosmetic resources.

        L-Carnitine을 함유한 전해질 혼합 음료가 단련한 흰쥐의 지구력 운동능력 및 글리코겐 절약 효과에 미치는 영향

        It has been hypothesized that the increased fatty acid oxidation and carnitine trunover associated with endurance training could produce a relative carnitine deficiency in rats and for free fatty acid(FFA) oxidation and turnover during submaximal exercise. Thus, the present study was undertaken to investigate the influence of carnitine containing electrolyte beverages on endurance performance and muscle and liver glycogen sparing effects of endurance trained rats. Rats were trained on the treadmill for 4 weeks and seperated into control, electrolyte, carnitine and carnitine-electrolyte groups that they were supplied with water, electrolyte balanced beverage, carnitine(70mg/kg) in the water and carnitine in electrolyte balanced beverage for 4 weeks trained period, respectively. The exercise test for maximal running time(MRT) were measured on treadmill at 1.8 kilometer per hour (KPH) and 14% grade. The exercise test for measuring glycogen sparing effect of carnitine is consisted of running up 14%grade at 1.8 KPH for 0, 15, 30, 60 or 90 min. At the end of run, rats were sacrificed for the measurement of plasma FFA and glycerol, blood glucose and lactate concentration, and muscle of liver glycogen contents. The results are summarized as follows. 1. MRT of carnitine and carnitine electrolyte groups were significantly higher compared to the control. But there was no significant difference in MRT between control and electrolyte groups. 2. In carnitine and carintine electrolyte groups, the slow muscle glycogen contents after 30, 60, 90 min exercises, the fast muscle glycogen content after 90 min exercise were significantly higher compared to the control. 3. In carnitine and carnitine electrolyte groups, the liver glycogen contents after 60 and 90 min exercises were significantly higher compared to the control. 4. The plasma FFA and glycogen concentrations presented a nonsignificant trend toward higher values in carnitime and carnitine electrolyte groups than in the control. 5. There were no significant differences in blood glucose and lactate concentrations between carnitine of carnitine electrolyte group and the control. These results suggest that carnitine increase endurance performance of trained rats and increment of endurance performance was attributed to enhanced fat utilization and muscle and liver glycogen sparing effects of carnitine.

        스마트 카의 인포테인먼트 서비스와 스마트폰 연결기술

        최근 스마트 카의 인포테인먼트 서비스에 대한 소비자의 요구는 점점 더 복잡, 다양해지고 있으며 빠른 속도로 변화하고 있다. 전통적인 자동차 산업에서의 기술 변화의 속도와 비교하여 스마트 카의 인포테인먼트 서비스는 오히려정보통신 산업에서 보여지는 변화의 속도에 더 근접하게 소비자의 기대수준이 맞추어져 있는 상황에 직면하였다. 이러한 상황과 더불어 스마트 카의 인포테인먼트 장치들은 외부 네트워크와의 연결에 대한 요구(connected service)와차량내·외부 이동간에도 서비스의 끊김없는 사용성을 제공하기 위해서(seamless service) 무선망 접속기능을 가지면서 늘 사용자의 이동과 함께하는 스마트폰과의 연동을 생각하지 않을 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 차량 디바이스단독으로 소비자를 만족시키는 서비스의 제공이 점점 어려워지고 있는 현재의 스마트 카 인포테인먼트 서비스 이용환경에서 차량 디바이스와 스마트폰의 연결기술이 이를 보완해 줄 수 있는 좋은 대안이라 생각하며 차량 디바이스와 스마트폰의 다양한 연결기술(Mobile In-Vehicle Connectivity)에 대하여 소개하고자 한다. 그리고 이와 관련된 각 자동차사의 현재의 기술들과 표준화 동향을 함께 살펴본다.
